Author note1: Hey, everyone! I just want to tell you that things will be a bit (or a lot) more M-rated from now on. Jakob is growing older, and so does his friends. This will be the tipping point to more violence and... sexual situations. Hope you enjoyed this story so far, and write a pm if there is something you would like to see in future chapters.

Chapter 30 A destroyed life and End of summer vacation.

The four Slytherins walked back to their inn and sat down on their beds while thinking about what to do next.

"We could use our coins," suggested Draco, but The Quade heir shook his head.

"No, if we did that, your parents would find out that something went wrong, and they would connect the dots when they learned about what happened to Modesty. "

"What should we do then? Stay here? I'm staving." said Pansy, who lay on her bed with an arm over her head, trying to closer her eyes and relax for a moment.

"I will find something for us to eat, but we will stay here for the night. Then we will take the portkey that activates tomorrow. We will not speak of this to anyone. Our alliance would be broken if our houses knew what had happened."

The three others nodded, and Jakob stood up with a sigh.

"By the way, Draco and Theo, I need an unbreakable vow from each of you that you won't tell anyone about my... ability."

Draco frowned.

"Why only us? Don't you believe that we will keep it a secret?"

"It's not a question about trust. There are ways to access that information. By means that you might not expect. Pansy has already given one when she accidentally saw it once."

The two boys looked over at Pansy, who shrugged her shoulders.

"I'm his roommate. Of course, I knew about it.

Draco and Theo glanced at each other and then back to Jakob, giving him a nod.

"Alright, Draco, you first."

The blonde stood up, and they clasped arms with each other.

Pansy took out her wand and pointed it towards the boy's clasped arms.

"Do you, Draco, swear on your life and magic that you won't tell anyone in speech or writing about Jakob's ability?" She asked.

"I do," he said and received an appreciated nod.

"Do you swear that if any attempt to forcefully pry that information is made towards you, you will fight with everything you have to not let the secret out?"

"I do," said Draco and the two small burning chains burned into their arms and then disappeared.

Draco stood up and let Theo take his place.

When Theo had taken the same vow, Jakob told them that he would find something to eat and walked out of the room, leaving the tired trio behind.

He stepped outside and looked around before he started walking in one direction.

He looked around at the muggle world, and he had to admit they had made some very impressive things. He passed a corner and saw a sign that read Mercy Tavern and took a breath before grabbing the door handle and opening the door.

Walking inside, he saw small wooden tables with black and red chairs, two on each side. The restaurant was empty, and Jakob walked over to the disk and waited for the man behind it to give him his attention.

The man turned around and looked over at Jakob, giving him a smile.

"What can I get you?" He asked, seeing that Jakob looked at the black sign behind him, reading the different food suggestions.

"I... What do you suggest?" Asked Jakob when he frowned at the picture. There were too many alternatives, and Jakob felt his stomach screaming to order everything.

"That depends. Answered the man behind the bar. Are you hungry? I would suggest the Burger and fries." Jakob nodded and put up three fingers.

"I will have three of those, thank you and make them extra big if you can. My friends are as hungry as me.

The man behind the bar nodded, and Jakob took a seat on a barstool, Looking at the different paintings that hung on the wall. There was a picture that Jakob looked at and frowned a bit. It depicted two fists destroying a wand, and the letters N.S.P.S were written above it. Flames were burning under the hands, and the Slytherin put every detail to memory.

The doorbell was heard, and Jakob turned to see a girl walking inside. She had straight blonde hair and looked to be in her fifth year. The blonde girl wore a white tank top with jeans-shorts. To short thought Jakob but that might be the muggle style nowadays. She glanced around while searching for someone and then met his eyes. The girl looked like she had momentarily forgotten what she was doing but broke eye contact and walked over to the man behind the bar.

"Hi Paul, have you seen Nanny? She was supposed to help with a school project, but she didn't answer her phone, and I can't find her anywhere."

Paul looked up from the food he was preparing and frowned."

That's strange, I haven't seen her, but if she by any chance comes by here, I will let you know."

The girl nodded, turned around, and stepped towards the door but halted, turning her head towards Jakob, who sighed inwards at the girl's obvious attempt.

"Hi, This might be a weird question, but you haven't seen my grandmother?

Jakob turned towards the girl and gave his charming smile and saw that her eyes went from his eyes towards his lips. Huh, the blood charm is affecting her more than witches in general. That's good to know.

"You will have to give me some more information than that. There are a lot of elderly people walking these streets. miss...?"

"Oh yeh... right. Sorry, my name is Ratchel, Rachel Barebone. My grandmother would respond to the name of Modesty.

Something inside Jakob's head almost vibrated when he heard her last name. He took a glance over to the girl and shook his head.

"I haven't. I'm sorry. What does she usually do? Does she work?"

Rachel thought for a moment, glancing at Paul, who gave her a firm look. And then shook her head.

"No, but she had her hobbies. She used to say that she is doing gods work." Answered the girl giving Jakob a look that made him feel a bit uncomfortable. Now I know how girls feel when guys stare at them like that, he thought and focused on the next question.

"Do you also believe that she is doing gods work?" Asked Jakob observing her facial expression.

She nodded and gave him a smile.

"Yeh, I hope I can one day follow the same path as her. She is somewhat of a hero around here."

"There, that will be 39 dollars. Said Paul behind the disk pushing forward two paper bags with food inside it."

Jakob gave the girl a smile.

"If you go out and wait for me, I could help you search if you'd like?"

The girl nodded.

"Thank you. I would love that." She turned around and walked, swaying her hips a little too much for Jakob and Paul not to notice.

Jakob turned towards the man, who gave him a warm smile.

"I've known little Rachel since she was a baby. Her parents were close to me as well. They used to say it was love at first sight. But that kid has not had an easy life.

Jakob looked interested and asked.

"Why would she not?"

It's only her, and her grandmother left. When she was little, her parents died in a car accident, and Modesty has taken care of her ever since. But don't tell her I told you. he said, giving Jakob a wink.

"Oh, I won't." smiled Jakob and flicked out his wand, pointing it at the barman who raised his hands up.

"You... You are one of them?" Paul looked over to the red door.

"Rachel." He whispered and then took a large breath, preparing to yell something.

Jakob raised his eyebrow in amusement and then uttered the words.

"Obliviate." Jakob ensured the man would never remember him and then took his paper bags and left.

When he walked outside, He gave the girl a smile.

"I need to leave these to my friends, it's not so far, and then I will help you search for your grandmother."

The girl nodded, and they began their walk.

"So you are new here? Asked Rachel and pushed her blonde hair behind her ear, showing her earrings.

"Is it that obvious?" chuckled Jakob and met the girl's eyes.

"Salem isn't that big, and I know most people here. My family has been here for a long time."

Jakob gave her a charming smile.

"Yeh, I have seen things, and a friend told me that Salem could provide me with insight and help."

The girl now looked surprised and leaned in.

"What did you see, and what kind of help are you searching for?"

Jakob played the cards Paul had so generously given him.

"My parents... they were in an accident, they say. But I know the truth. I was there and saw what really happened, but no one would believe me except the one who told me to come here. She told me about people who would be very happy to help me.

Rachel stopped in her tracks and looked down into an empty alleyway. She then looked at Jakob and said a word.

N.S.P.S?"

Jakob faked a surprised expression.

"How...?" he started, but she took his arm gently and guided him into the alleyway.

She turned back towards him as he had placed his food bags on the ground and looked at her.

"So you know of the New Salem Philanthropic Society asked Jakob and waited before for her reply. He needed more information about this newfound enemy.

The girl nodded and took his hands in hers.

"I do. It was founded by my Great Grandmother. You told me about your parents, and I can see that you and I are alike. My parents were also murdered by the abominations that yours was. And they met by chance like-"

"You and I." Finished the wizard giving her a warm smile.

Jakob quelled his lust to take her and looked into her eyes, hoping that his blood charm was doing the work he wanted.

"How many of you are there?" he questioned, holding her eye contact firmly.

The girl's cheeks were red, and her breathing grew heavier as they stared at each other.

"We... I can't tell you." She leaned in to kiss him, but he stopped her with a finger pressed towards her lips. Rachel smirked and gave it a nibble tasting it with a lick.

"If you tell me, I will give you a reward. If you tell me what I want to know, you will taste more than just my finger, Rachel."

The girl was ensnared by the voice, his eyes made her get tunnel vision, and the only thing she could feel was that she wanted to taste him. she wanted to make him hers.

"We... we are spreading out. Salem is our headquarters, but we have infiltrated cities around the country. We even have some in the European countries now."

Jakob frowned. This was not good, and he opened his mouth to ask the next question, but she was quicker. She pushed his finger aside and kissed him. The blonde closed her eyes, making small moans as her hands went inside his tank top and felt his body. Jakob, who initially wanted to push her off him, had more questions to ask, so he played along. He pulled Rachel towards him, and his hands went around her embracing her for a few seconds before he grabbed her shoulders and gently pushed her away.

"What countries are you based in? What is the purpose of your organisation?"

The girl tried to lean into him again, but Jakob held a firm grip.

"You will get your reward if you tell me." The pureblood heir of house Quade would never admit this, but he started to enjoy the company of the muggle in front of him and had to focus.

"We... We are located in France, Germany, Spain and United Kingdom."

She almost jumped on him, kissing him again and letting her tongue search for his. When she found it, she moaned as they started to play with each other and Jakob, who had to tell himself that this was for the information, turned and pushed her towards the wall.

He stopped and continued with his question.

"Where in the Uk are you based, and how many of you are there?"

She kept her eyes on him while unbuttoning their jeans.

"I don't know," she said and pulled him towards her, pushing him against her and slowly grinding on him. Rachel enjoyed seeing the boy in front of her, almost closing his eyes as she slowly moved up and down on him and closed her eyes as well. For a moment, she was in heaven, but something urged her to snap back and stare at the boy in front of her.

"But I know one thing," she almost moaned, taking one hand and laying it around his neck for support as she began to move faster.

"I want you inside of me. Now," she whispered and kissed him.

Jakob continued the kiss, and for one second, he almost did not care that he felt her slowly pulling his boxers down, but he snapped back. He would never let that filth take his first time, and he pushed away from her.

"No." He said, and the girl frowned at the rejection.

"I... I thought you wanted." she started to say in disappointment and a bit of sadness. She really thought this was the beginning of their new story. Having the same background and goal in life. Meeting like this, like her parents had done and feeling this strongly towards each other. She almost believed he was the one.

Jakob had fixed his clothes and closed his eyes, taking a deep breath before opening them again. Rachel noticed something in them. Almost like he was mad.

"Do you know who I am?" he questioned her, and she took a step forward, trying to understand why he had suddenly turned so angry.

"If I went too forward, I'm sorry. Can't we just start over?"

Jakob gave her a smirk, and her eyes widened as she saw that the boy had flicked his hand. A holster on his right arm suddenly appeared, and a wand shot out, which he caught and pointed at her staring into her eyes.

"Yes. Now you know what I am. But I already knew who you were. Miss Barebone."

The girl took a step back in shock. Not believing her eyes.

"You... Are you one of them? Why are you here?"

Jakob stepped forward, waved his wand, put up a silencing charm, and lowered it. He knew that Rachel was not a threat to him, and he could feel she knew the same.

"I was just taking a vacation here with my friends. We met a friendly old Lady that I guess you know. Her name was Modesty."

Tears were now showing in Rachels's eyes, and her frightened voice questioned the enemies in front of her.

"What... what did you do to my grandmother?"

"What did I do? Your grandmother trapped us inside a blood curse! I had to watch three of my people get eaten by undead creatures!" He yelled and slammed a fist beside her into the brick wall, making it crack.

Rachel ignored the sound and the small chunks of brick that had flown into her hair.

"I met a girl inside the curse. She was so damaged by it that she stabbed and ate her own brother, who had come to save her. Is that the lords work? Your grandmother sending innocent children to their deaths?"

"You are not innocent. You are monsters," said Rachel trying to build up her courage and Jakobs eyes turned red for a moment.

"She was 11 years old!" he slammed his fist again, and this time Rachel ducked.

"You muggles are so fast to war and destruction. You won't see that the biggest threat on this planet is you."

The girl had tears rolling down her cheeks and shook her head.

"No. You have something that you've stolen. The powers you have belongs to god."

Jakob laughed and took a step back from the girl.

"You are using your belief as a motivation to go to war. Like the muggles before you. What if your god didn't exist? What would you use then as an excuse to hunt us down? You are so focused that everyone should be like you, killing people that do not have the same skin colour or even have the same belief that you have. You are the true monsters here, not us.

She took a step forward, glancing over at the alleyway exit.

"Tell me what happened to my grandmother." cried the girl, and Jakob raised an eyebrow before grabbing her and pulling her towards him.

The situation almost looked romantic, but the fear in her eyes and the smirk on his told a different story.

"You will see soon enough," he hissed, raised his hands, and cupped her cheeks. The dark mist flowed out from his hands, and she gave him one last defiant look before he closed his eyes and a new pair opened.

He was in a home. It was all white, and he looked around. He saw that in the living room, there was a light.

"What the hell..." he whispered as he walked forward, seeing that the light her soul gave off wasn't yellow like a muggle usually was. It was blue. Jakob walked forwards and observed the blue soul who did not try to escape like the rest had. It floated towards him willingly. And he reached out his hand, letting it hover above it.

There were small yellow strings surrounding it.

"Is this what a Squibb's soul looks like?" Jakob frowned, using his index finger and thumb, trying to grab the string. His fingers went right through it, and he raised his other hand, making a fist.

"Let's try something." He whispered as he opened his hand, and the darkness manifested.

"See if you can remove the strings around the soul." The darkness floated forwards and encircled the blue ball of light, observing it for a few seconds before slowly closing in like it was about to devour it. The yellow strings started to vibrate more and more as the darkness pushed harder against them. The Slytherin boy felt how his own strength began to wane, and his breath became more laboured. Suddenly the yellow strings shattered and fell to the ground, and the blue soul shined brighter, almost making The boy turn his sight away. The black mist returned to his body, and the soul piece was let go floating above him in a gentle sway. Jakob smiled and closed his eyes, and his other pair opened.

The girl looked at him in confusion that she was still alive, taking deep breaths. The Slytherin boy felt the same and saw that her skin had a light coating of sweat and goosebumps.

"What did you do to me? I feel different." She pushed away from him, backing into the wall and staring at him in fear.

"I was going to take your soul, but I stopped when I saw it."

Rachel looked horrified, and her lips started to shake.

"You... you were... why didn't you?" She asked, and Jakob gave her a warm smile.

"You said that we were like, you and me. You were right. You only had something bounding your true self, and I removed it."

"I'm nothing like you!" she screamed. Jakob took a step forward and embraced her again, feeling her trying to pry his arms away from her. The attempt weakened as she looked into his eyes, and he leaned in, almost so close that they could kiss again.

"You are just like me. Modesty might have taken you in like her own, but you will never be one of them. You are a witch."

"I will find you one day. And I will hunt you down," said Rachel, giving him a look that told him that he just had destroyed her life. She slowly looked down at his lips with sorrow and shattered dreams.

"If you find me one day, you will die trying." He whispered warmly and leaned in and kissed her. Her tears salted the kiss, and he could not feel any resistance. Jake could feel her arms embracing him back, holding on to him tightly.

Rachel knew that this boy had done something horrible to her grandmother and that he had ruined her life. Still, when he had leaned in and kissed her, she took that moment to go back before everything had gone so terribly wrong. When she was so happy, she thought that her life had changed for the better. Maybe even finding the one that would be by her side forever. The kiss was deep, and Jakob raised his wand behind her back.

He thought about the spell that would end her life and suffering but feeling the desperation in the kiss and hope made something inside him change.

He broke it and looked her in the eyes.

"Until we meet again, miss Barebone."

The girl raised her hand, giving him that smile she had given him just before they entered the alleyway and stroked his cheek.

"Please. Give me your name."

Jakob shook his head, still wearing that warm smile of his.

"Stupify."

The girl's muscles gave way, and he gently put her down on the ground. He took away the silencing charm and grabbed his bag.

She would wake soon. Jakob gave Rachel one last look and turned. He was sure he would see the girl again one day and hoped he had made the right choice by sparing her life.

On his way home, he thought about the whole situation and why he decided not to kill her. Did I really make the right choice?

Jakob was not aware of his surroundings and felt someone bump into him.

"Hey, watch where you going!" said a man and Jakob frowned as the man turned and began walking again.

The Slytherin boy saw that he had entered a resident building using a key and smirked.

Back at the inn, Jakob hurried up the stairs towards the room. He knew the Three Slytherins were sleeping and woke them up.

"Get up. We are leaving for another place. It's not safe here anymore."

Pansy rubbed her eyes and looked over to Jakob, who had walked over to the window, taking a quick glance to reassure himself that no one was waiting for them.

"Why?" asked the still-tired Slytherin girl, but Jakob did not answer and instead gestured for them to hurry.

"Your food is waiting there, So hurry up."

"How did you afford a new place and food? you don't even have muggle money." Said Draco as he grabbed his things.

"I will tell you when we get there. Come on."

The four Slytherins walked out and began their walk towards the other hotel that Jakob was leading the way to.

"What is up with him?" Whispered Draco to Pansy, but the girl shrugged.

When they entered a new hotel called Coach house, they noticed that the quality had improved greatly.

"The four Slytherins now had one room each to themself, and they all stayed at Dracos to enjoy the dinner.

They ate in silence as they all were very hungry. After dinner, Draco suggested that they could play some exploding snap, but Jakob rubbed his eyes. Sorry mate, but I'm still a bit tired. But I will see you tomorrow, alright?

The boys and pansy nodded, and he returned to his room.

When Jakob entered his room, he got inside his shower and washed away the day's happenings. When The Quade heir was done, he took a towel and walked out, standing in front of the mirror and looking at himself.

He shook his head and chuckled.

"Would it be weird to have one normal day ?" He asked his mirror self and put on his boxers, and walked outside.

He lay in his bed and thought about the situation with Rachel and how he almost had lost control as he felt her rubbing against him. He Frowned as he closed his eyes and let the memory play up in his mind.

Suddenly he heard a knock on his door, and Jakob jolted up. He quickly glanced down, saw that he was hard, and quickly got under the covers. The door opened, and Pansy walked inside wearing a morning robe.

"I thought you were coming to me." said the girl annoyed, as she closed and locked the door and let the robe fall to the floor, making Jakobs stare for a moment at the nightgown she was wearing. It was greenish with short sleeves and covered the upper side of her thighs. It wasn't like the one he had seen Amy wear. This was very pretty but also so lightweight that he would almost see through it.

Jakob Turned his gaze, and Pansy looked at him with a confused smile.

"What?" she asked as the girl removed the cover and got into bed.

She embraced him, and Jakob tried his best to turn away, but she did not have it.

She raised her leg to lock him in place, and her eyes widened for a moment, but she did not move away or make any suggestion that she was uncomfortable.

Jakob, who was in full mode trying to calm himself, frowned and looked over to the girl who did not meet his eyes and instead grabbed his hand and started playing with his fingers as she used to do.

"Umm... pansy, your leg is..." he started, but she asked him something else.

"It's weird. We were away for what felt like hours in there, but it had only been a couple of minutes when we returned."

Jakob nodded and turned his head up towards the ceiling.

"I have counted, actually. One minute in this world was an hour in that horrible place."

Pansy looked shocked and moved closer to him.

"Wait, that little girl had been there a whole year. That must have been.." she started and thought for a while until Jakob turned his body towards her.

"Almost 60 years." he provided, and Pansy lifted her hand to her mouth.

"That's horrible. but she looked so young." She said, staring into his eyes.

"It was a time loop," answered Jakob and turned back again.

"Magic can be really scary sometimes," whispered Pansy closing her eyes.

The morning after, they all took the Portkey back to Hawaii, leaving Salem behind. When they arrived at the estate, They got Questions about the travel and if they had learned something. The four Slytherins could honestly answer yes to that question.

They used the last days at the beach and took the time to really enjoy it before they would have to return back.

Authors Note2: In the next chapter, Jakob will return to school, and We will meet two familiar faces that I think you all like. Hope you enjoyed this chapter. I know it was a bit shorter than I usually write, but I decided to move the train ride back into the next chapter. I would like to know which one of the girls the readers like most. Write a pm if you want to describe who and why.

Ps: For those who have not watched Fantastic Beasts, I would like to tell you that Modesty is a canon character in the first film that is adopted into the Barebone family together with Credence Dumbledore. Her mother, Mary Lou Barebone, was the leader of the New Salem Philanthropic Society.

We have not seen the last of this radical group and just wanted to give some more information about it:)

Cheers!
