Chapter 5
Yua and Gojo laid in each other's arms, cradled between them was Shin, sound asleep. "To think we had a child this adorable…" Gojo whispered.
She could only nod her head in agreement, and yet, at the same time, Yua didn't feel right, not in the least bit. "Satoru… I think I need some help with something…"
He appeared curious. "Go on?"
"Ever since Shin was born… my energy returned, but it has spiked greatly. Somehow, I got stronger."
"I was going to say something but then you would think I was crazy… I noticed it too a week after Shin was born. It takes that long for your body to recover, at the same time, it took in more energy… believe it or not, who was watching this closely was Sukuna… this caught his attention."
She shuttered at the thought.
"But, did I look different? Was the energy different?" she asked.
He was silent for a moment, until he said. "I faced off against the last of the fifth hand, spider woman. She had threads all over Japan, as strange as it is for me to say, but the energy around you… was starting to snare in webbing like aura and drawing it into your body. It does move differently, but it's as if your body is selecting what energy you take in… I've never seen anything like it before."
She was concerned, this wasn't in her family's books at all either. "I hate to say this… but I think I need to consult with the king on this…" she muttered.
Gojo sighed. "Figures as much…"
Yet before either one of them could leave the bed, they peered down at Shin sleeping blissfully. "After he wakes up," she insisted.

"What the hell…"
Megumi finds things are not quite what they seem at the moment. Strange things are happening all around him. One, food keeps disappearing. He would make himself a meal, only to turn around for a second. When he looks again, what he made has vanished. Bowl and all!
Secondly, his soft clothing saved for winter is also gone. He can't explain where it has disappeared too, but it's missing as well. Lastly, all the soft blankets he has are vanished too. But apparently, this isn't just happening to him. His father has been dealing with the same issue for sometime.
"Where the hell does it all go!?"
"Dad?"
Megumi decided to see his father on the situation, but found he was in the same position he was in. "Your shit disappearing too?"
He nodded his head. "I've looked everywhere for my soft winter clothing, my blankets are gone. But what really gets me is the food. No matter what I make for myself, it goes missing."
"Same, I have to make dinner at least six times before I get to eat…"
Megumi then peered down, he swore he saw something fleeting at the foot of his father. "Did something just move?" he whispered.
"Huh?"
"At your feet, I swore something moved…" He then peered at his shadow as well. "I think we got something living under our feet here…"
"Huh?!" His father demanded. "How could we not notice that?!"
He didn't know for sure either, but now he was curious.
Megumi called upon a summons.
The alpha wolf had appeared before him, however, it appeared a little twitchy. "Something wrong?" he asked the wolf.
It keep peering down into the shadow, he whimpered and pawed at it to go back. This was strange in Megumi's mind. "Is there something in my shadow that you are scared of?"
The wolf didn't appear aggressive, so no, that wasn't it. If anything, it's like when Itadori was a…
"What's going on sport?"
"I think I need to go into the shadows myself…"
Then, the wolf got aggressive!
"You won't let me look and see what's going on?!" he demanded.
The wolf still growled at him but eased up on its stance. Megumi then turned to his father, just as something moved in his shadow once more. The wolf saw it too, and then… went into his father's shadow!
"What the hell is going on…"
"You're guess is as good as mine, but let's try something out." Megumi went into the kitchen, there he began to make the meatballs Itadori taught him. He made a massive batch and cooked them up in a hotpot. Then, he took the meal and rested it on the floor. Turning his back to it, his shadow lingered over the hotpot…
"Watch what happens," Megumi instructed his father.
He nodded and kept a close eye. The hotpot remained until… something grabbed it and took it into the depths of the shadow! "Whoa… something is living in there!"
"I figured as much, but what? My summons won't let me enter, as strange as it is for me to say. They are acting a lot like when Itadori was rendered a baby dragon, very protective of him…"
His father snickered. "You think we got dragons in our shadows?"
He nodded. "Or something as powerful as one, my summons are protecting whatever is hiding…" he suddenly took a seat on the ground. "Hey… whoever is in there, won't you come out? We won't hurt you, I promise. In fact, I'll make more hotpot if you are still hungry. But only if you show yourselves to us."
He waited, and waited. Ten minutes would pass when his shadow began to trembled and move. Toji watched with great interest as suddenly, three little boys peered out of it!
"What the hell…" his father whispered.
Their eyes were fixated on him, but then, they turned to Megumi and became just as fascinated. "Who or what are they?" Megumi whispered. Yet, as he turned to his father, he appeared oddly pale. "Dad?"
He turned to his shadow. Two others peered up, but they were little girls. Slowly, they began to come out of the shadow before sitting before them, curious five year old children, were staring at them with great interest. "You have GOT to be kidding me…"
"Dad… are they…" Megumi began to ask, but suddenly got bowled over by the three little boys!
"Big brother!" they cheered.
Megumi suddenly realized why his father was so startled.
"PAPA!" the girls cheered and were quick to do the same to him, these children knocked them to the ground with great ease. The boys looked like his father, the girls… looked a lot like Lady Tiamat…
