. . . . .
Ishizu didn't quite appreciate the vision her Millennium Necklace woke her up with. Even worse, due to her duel with Seto, she realized that she couldn't tell if it was something that would happen or something that could happen. She didn't know whether or not to react to it. Only when she noticed her brother Marik walking around with sleeping guests hoisted over his shoulders did she decide to move.
She learned from Fuguta that Noah Kaiba had taken control of the ship, but not much more than that. She did however realize that Marik wasn't allowed to go near the medical wing. Joey and Serenity were closest to her, so she pushed them there. Then Yugi, because by the time she got Joey and Serenity, Marik had already grabbed Duke, Tristan and Mokuba.
Bakura met with Yugi at the door, and told him that he didn't think this was Amane, due to it involving technology. Whether Noah was doing it on Amane's instructions or not he didn't know. Yugi told Joey to stay here, which Joey didn't like, but eventually accepted after Odion talked him down. That left Ishizu with the few she gathered, the medical staff, a comatose Mai, a confused Serenity, Kaiba Corporation and Duel Academics employees and Marik.
She pinched the bridge of her nose. She composed herself, took off her Millennium Necklace, and flicked the thing like a whip. It snapped in the air with a loud crack that sounded like a lightning strike.
Joey jumped up in surprise. "What the heck lady!?"
Fuguta looked at the glowing whip her necklace turned into. "Can you use that?"
"I can and will." She put a hand on her hip. "How long will Noah's business take?"
"Hard to say." Fuguta loaded his gun, "He prefers efficiency, so we're not expecting more than a day or two. Really it depends on how long it takes Master Seto to reach him."
"Mr. Wheeler." Odion stood. "Yugi asked you to stay because you're much better in a knife fight than him. The only reason Marik hasn't attacked anyone is because Seto was on the blimp."
"And he ain't now?" Joey looked back at Mai. She was deathly still, stuck on life support.
"No. And there is nowhere to move Ms. Valentine. There is nowhere to move any of us. Not with him in our way."
Next to Mai, sat Serenity. She wrapped the blanket tighter around her shoulders.
"Our only defense against Marik's Millennium Item is Ishizu. You and I are physical." Odion checked his wounds. "Sister will tire eventually. Hopefully that is after Marik does."
"Got it." Joey put a hand on Serenity's shoulder. "Don'tcha worry. We'll keep ya both safe. You guys too." He looked at the medical staff, though they didn't seem too worried.
Predictably, Marik's laughter arrived before the person did. He stood in the doorway, eyes wide with glee. "Good morning!"
"Good morning!?" Ishizu shrieked, "Good morning for who!? You have me up at this god awful hour for this nonsense!? I haven't even put on my bra, you ass!"
"You sleep naked though," Marik giggled, and twirled the technically a scabbard of the Millennium Rod around his fingers, "and you don't even like bras." He stabbed at the air with the knife end randomly.
"I know!" She cracked her Millennium Necklace whip.
"I don't wanna know why he knows that." Joey muttered. "Erasing it from ma brain now."
It took five minutes of straight fighting between the two siblings before Ishizu whacked him in the face, and Fuguta unknowingly kicked him into the swirling darkness of a shadow portal. Instead of hitting the wall, Marik disappeared entirely.
"Where did he go?" Fuguta backed up, fixing a cuff on his suit.
"Back to his room." Ishizu put her hands on her hips. "He'll come back a few times, until he gets bored. But I'll be here for as long as the Gods say I can be." She dismissed her whip. "So?" She turned around, adjusting her shirt, "Breakfast? He'll be a while."
