"Let me grab my parasol." Naoto responded as he walked out of the bathroom. He didn't know what had just happened, or why whe was here, but anything would be better than staying here in this room.
The shattered windows and things tossed around the room brought a sense of fear to him. He had no idea what caused this as the thumping in his head got heavier and heavier.
The boy entered his room. He had to admit, he was worried, and scared. Nothing was going right for him. The thoughts in his head as he screamed towards the mirror, did he really mean it? He didn't kill those two, and he definitely wouldn't have enjoyed it if he had!
He tried to clear his mind as he breathed in deeply, before grabbing the umbrella from his room. It was slowly getting dark, but it was still bright enough that he didn't want the light up on his face.
Naoto descended the staircase and opened the door, finding nobody on the other side, or so he thought. Suddenly, Emi jumped from the side of the door, causing him to flinch and yelp from surprise. "He-llo, Hachioji-Kun~" She said in a cheery and playful manner.
Naoto jumped in surprise. "D-Don't scare me like that!" The girl chuckled. "I'm Sorry, Senpai. I just thought it would be funny." Naoto muttered, before asking her what she wanted. "You said you had answers to something?"
"Yeah. I think..." She leaned in closer to him, her face almost pressing against his. Usually, he would blush or get embarrassed, but the way she looked at him now intimidated him. Something about her plastered on smile and her soul-drilling eyes made him uncomfortable. "I think I know your secret." She said, her grin getting even wider.
"Headaches, tiredness, nightmares." She said. Naoto gulped. He didn't like the way she was confronting him about this. Her face didn't stop making him uncomfortable as her pupils focused onto him. "Weird voices... sounds... impulses..."
Naoto was more scared than worried now. How could she precisely pinpoint what he had been experiencing. She didn't stop as she continued. "Impulses for violence..."
Naoto decided to back off. "S-Stop it. You're acting weird." The girl didn't stop.
"Weird occurrences around you. A taste for... something. Blood, perhaps?" She got closer to him as he backed off. "Thats enough, Emi! Please stop!" Naoto was desperate to make her stop. Something about her calling out his issues and problems scared him. If she knew about this, what else did she know?
"An impulse... to kill." She liked her lips with her tongue, as if the word 'Kill' itself brought excitement to her mind. "S-Stop! I don't want to hear it!" Naoto tried to back off again, trying to open the door and get inside. Emi simply grabbed his hands, pulling him closer as she stared him down, her face getting closer and closer as her smile turned into a sadistic one.
"Tell me, Senpai~..."
"No! Let me go!"
"Have you ever..."
"LET ME GO! I DONT WANT THIS!"
"Killed someone?" The girl giggled, looking like a manic psychopath. "I know I have, and I very well know that you have too, my lovely little senpai."
Naoto screamed as loudly as he could, falling down from his bed and hitting the hard wooden floor. The boy looked around frantically. His bedroom was just like normal, and nothing seemed to be wrong with it. Wait... bedroom? Wasn't he just outside?
Naoto's mind sank into confusion as he got up from the floor frantically, before checking the calendar. Apparently, it was already tommorow! Was all of that just a nightmare? Naoto knew it felt too real to be one, but it still felt too outlandish that he suddenly woke up in bed.
"My nightmares are just getting worse and worse." Naoto said to himself as he looked at the clock. It was still early, and he didn't have to go to school yet. The first thing he had to do was brush his teeth. The boy headed to the bathroom, opening the door.
Naoto's mind didn't know what to think at the sight of the cracked mirror. He wasn't sure if what happened yesterday was real. On one side, he definitely remembered getting angry in the bathroom, but on the other side, he had entirely broken the mirror, even though it was only shattered in some parts. Not to add to the fact that the mirror had seemingly broken out of nowhere yesterday.
It was getting to the point he couldn't ignore it anymore. This was becoming too much for him. The boy grabbed his toothbrush and started frantically brushing his teeth. Just like the plaque in his teeth, he wanted to get all this out of his mind. He didn't want to be in this room. It brought a certain sense of dread and fear into him. He didn't know what was wrong with him, or what was happening. He just begged to get out of the house. At least he'd be able to paint in school.
Naoto yawned as his pencil brushed agains the canvas in front of him. Troghout the day, his mind had calmed down, and he could finally draw in peace. No matter what, this was his place of solace. That was until the door slid open.
"Senpai! What's up?" Nagatoro slid into the room. "Hi, Nagatoro." Naoto answered in a tired tone.
"Are you doing boring drawings again?" Nagator asked. Naoto nodded. "Yes. I'm trying to draw a face without reference." Nagatoro looked at his canvas, giving him a look of confusion. "Whatever you say senpai. Doesn't look a lot like a face to me."
Naoto pouted. "Come on! It can't be that bad..." Naoto then decided to address the situation from yesterday. "What happened to the small kitten from yesterday?" Nagatoro smiled. "Oh! A friend of mine said she could take care of if, at least for a while." She didn't even bother asking why he almost choked it. She knew that her Senpai wouldn't do such a thing on purpose.
The girl looked as he wobbled around tired, his fluffy hair bouncing around as he yawned. "Senpai, you haven't cut your hair in a while, right?" Senpai turned around. "Yeah, I guess you're right." due to the nightmares and headaches, he hadn't had the time to get his hair properly cut, so it was not only extremely long, but also a mess.
The girl looked at his hair. She definitely had a point when saying his hair was long. It was extremely thick and wobbly, almost covering his eyes. It reminded her a bit of a fluffy sheep. That suddenly gave her an idea. "You know, Senpai." She reached for her bag, taking out a hair trimmer. "I could shear your hair for you."
Naoto turned around to see the hair trimmer in her hand, stumbling back as his chair tumbled over. He barely managed not to fall over, bending his body forward to keep himself from tripping. "What?! No way! You're not shearing my hair with that thing! In fact, you're not shearing my hair at all!"
"Senpai, you're so jumpy! How about trimming it down?" Nagatoro giggled as she came closer to him with the trimmer. "N-No! I've never even let my hair stylist use the machine! Why do you even have that?" Nagatoro scoffed. "I borrowed it from my classmate." She put the trimmer back in her bag, before taking out a pair of scissors and a hairbrush. "Then how about i just trim them a bit with these?"
Naoto looked at her in confliction. On one side, he didn't even know if she was even efficient at cutting hair. She could end up making him look like a monk by accident. But on the other side, getting his hair cut, specifically by Nagatoro, didn't really sound like something he'd completely be against. "Can you even cut hair?"
Nagatoro nodded excitedly. "Yeah, Yeah! I cut my brother's hair all the time, and he sure doesn't complain." Naoto sat back down, pondering for a few seconds, before silently nodding towards her, giving her the go-ahead. The girl cheered internally. "Great decision! You won't be disappointed."
"Just... don't mess it up, please." Nagatoro was about to begin when her phone suddenly rang. "Hello?"
Naoto couldn't hear who was on the other side, but from Nagatoros reply and mannerism, he could tell that she was needed somewhere else. "W-We could do it sometime else." Nagatoro shook her head. "It's fine. It'll only be a minute. I'll be right back." The girl said, before leaving the room.
Naoto nodded, before turning his attention back on his painting. He picked up his pencil as he looked at the painting. Despite having calmed down, his headache still made it hard for him to draw to the point that he struggled to fully realize what he was drawing. The boy suddenly felt a shiver down his spine.
Someone was coming. He could tell from the footsteps that two people were making their way to his clubroom, but the shiver he felt told him that it wasn't Nagatoro. His suspicions were proven right when the door slid open, as Gamo and Yoshi made their way in. "S-up, Paisen!" "Sup!"
Naoto's eye reflexively twitched from nervousness as the girls walked inside. "...What do you want here?" Gamo and yoshi simply wandered around a bit, before turning to him.
"We just came over to visit you. Especially after yesterday's blunder." Naoto swallowed after she said that. We're they going to hold a grudge towards him for hurting the kitten? The boy didn't have time to even start panicking as Gamo spoke again. "We were starting to wonder if you were one of those weirdos who's into that stuff, being as creepy as you are."
"Creepy!" Yoshi replied as they both laughed. Naoto pouted, but at the same time he was relieved. From her response, it seemed like they didn't take it too hard. They seemed to also assume it was an accident.
"Is that all? I'm busy drawing." Naoto said. Even if they weren't mad at him, he wasn't in the mood for these two to stay here and annoy him. Gamo turned over to his canvas. "Oof. Even for someone who doesn't draw, I know damn well that's not drawing." Naoto looked at her with a stare of confusion and slight annoyance. That was the second time someone had said his art looked weird today.
The girls eyes turned towards the trimmer that Nagatoro had left on the table. "What's this now?" Naoto turned around, mentally gulping. "D-Dont touch that. Nagatoro was planning to cut my hair with it." The girls slowly turned to him, a mischievous grin on their faces. "Is that so?" Gamo replied.
Naoto properly gulped this time. He knew the girls well enough to be aware that those grins weren't just for show. They had something planned for him. "How about we save her the trouble and do it ourselves?" Gamo chuckled.
Naoto responded by getting up from his seat and dashing for the exit. Yoshi turned to him, catching up in no time as she pulled him back towards the seat. Gamo and Yoshi grabbed him and sat him down as he tried to struggle. However, their grip was too strong as the trimmer got closer to his face. "Stop it! This isn't funny! You can't cut my hair!"
Gamo laughed. "Does it really matter? If we mess it up, we can just shave you bald. A new look can't hurt that much, can it?" Gamo replied as the trimmer graced his hair, cutting a little bit of hair. Naoto began to struggle even more. He had promised Nagatoro that he'd let her cut his hair, and he wasn't going back on it. He began to aggressively shake his head.
"He's spinning around! Helicopter style!" Yoshi yelled out. Gamo grunted. "Hold him down!" Yoshi nodded as she pressed down on his head using both her hand and her chest, causing him to blush as he felt her body leaning against his head. Gamo finally began to get closer again.
"No! Stop! I promised Nagatoro I'd let her cut my hair!" Naoto screamed as he tried to kick himself away from the seat with his feet. Gamo's grin remained. "Nagatoro, Nagatoro, Nagatoro. You keep talking about her. Is there something secret you'd like to tell us?"
Naoto looked as the machine was pressed against his hair as the sound of the trimmer cutting his hair blew right into his ear. Naoto panicked. They weren't kidding. They really were going to shave him bald, and he'd be forced to break his promise.
Throughout this whole thing, the painful thumping in his head remained, making the situation even more of a hassle for him, and now, the thumping got even harder as he struggled. The boy began to try shaking aggressively as he screamed. It was too much stress for him to handle. "STOP IT ALREADY!"
Yoshi laughed. "Too loud!" She said before looking at Gamo. Naoto could tell that she suddenly worried as her grip got less tight. "Gamo?"
Gamo looked at Yoshi, stopping the razor from cutting. "Yeah?" Yoshi pointed at her face. "Your nose is bleeding."
Naoto looked up to see that it was true. A few drops of blood started to come out of her nose. The girl wiped them off with her hand, looking at it. It wasn't a lot, but it was still a significant amount for the fact that it happened so suddenly.
Even if it wasn't a lot, her body began to wobble. Naoto could see her struggle to keep standing, almost like her body was trying not to give out. "I'm sure..." her eyes rolled slightly back into her head as she began wobbling more. "It's nothiingg..." The girl replied before her body randomly gave out and she collapsed on the floor.
"Gamo!" Yoshi let go of Naoto as she knelt down to aid her friend. At the same time, the door slid open as Nagatoro jumped in. The girl had listened to Naoto's screams, and had made her way here as quick as she could. "What's going on h-" The girl said, before seeing Gamo collapsed on the floor as Yoshi tended to her. "Gamo! Are you okay?!" Nagatoro ran towards the girl, holding her head up.
Naoto looked at the three girls on the floor. His head was filled with pure worry, not knowing what to do, and not knowing how this happened either. The boy's eyes drifted around the room, before focusing on the canvas. Naoto could now see why they called it weird. All this time, he thought he was making a portrait.
Instead, the canvas was simply full of massive scratches and lines of red oil paint, resembling blood. Upon focusing in, Naoto could see a bunch of random words scribbled in the same red paint on the canvas. However, one of them appeared much more often than the others, the fact of which brought a tremendous amount of fear down his heart.
