Harry Potter and the Legacy of Power
Prologue
The Power Rangers were well known throughout the entire universe, their tales of valour inspiring countless others to be the best versions of themselves, and their unbelievable victories against impossible odds striking fear into the hearts of criminals but their origins remained shrouded in mystery.
Some credited Ninjor for creating the concept of Power Rangers, others speculated the Great Power of Phaedos had chosen the very first rangers while some credited the Ancient Ones for empowering ordinary individuals with the powers to save the universe. However, none of those theories were true.
The origins of the rangers or the Morphin Grid for that matter did not take place in any planet or dimension known to the Galactic Council, instead it took place in a long-forgotten planet, which was abandoned eons ago… a planet once known as Sentai Six.
The people of Sentai Six were the first to harness the power of the Grid to fight back against the forces of the dark cosmos, led by an ancient seemingly omnipotent being known as the Dark One.
To save their home from destruction, two warriors amongst them reached the highest level of union possible between a mortal soul and the Grid to unlock a power that far surpassed that of the Dark One. Some legends remember them as the Dragon and the Phoenix.
They were soulmates, having found their way to each other despite innumerable odds, however despite their perseverance, they failed to prevent the Dark One from corrupting the life essence of their planet. Dark energies spread through Sentai Six, twisting man into monsters, mutilating animals into grotesque beasts and purging the goodness out of the citizens of Sentai Six, turning them into brainwashed followers of the Dark One.
In a desperate attempt to save the people of Sentai Six, the military led a swift evacuation of all their people, making them board a giant space craft, which could sustain them till the people of Sentai Six found a new home.
The Dragon and Phoenix, along with their trusted allies, the Qilin, the Unicorn, the Gryffin, the Basilisk and the Tenga stayed behind to halt the Dark One and prevent him from following the people of Sentai Six.
Using primordial magic and all their powers, they sealed the evil diety within the core of the planet, watching as dark energy spread across the planet, turning green foliage into brown ashes, beautiful mountains into disastrous volcanoes, the blue skies into ominous red and the clear wind into hazardous smog.
The physical forms of the Dragon and Phoenix were consumed by the insane power channelled by them, but their spirits were unable to ascend to any form of Afterlife, their life forces forever destined to guard the Dark One's prison and their souls doomed to an endless cycle of reincarnation.
As long as the Dark One remained bound, so would their spirits on the mortal plane.
The Qilin had a device to generate a portal to the spacecraft, back to their people but they were betrayed by one of their own – the Tenga, who stole the device, attempting to free the Dark One, however the seals placed by the Dragon and Phoenix prevented the Dark One from escaping.
However it was enough for him to communicate with the mortal plane.
Laughter echoed across the forsaken planet, the chilling voice of the Dark One as he altered the properties of the portal, imbuing it with the capacity to cross time, space and even dimensions, leading to the reincarnations of those who had trapped him in the infernal prison.
The traitor sprinted to the portal, knowing it would transport her to a future, where the Dragon and Phoenix would be born again and she would get another chance to free her master.
The other warriors followed her through the portal, but without the Dark One's influence, they got lost in the time stream, landing in different points of time, stranded from each other with no way to communicate.
Meanwhile, the people of Sentai Six eventually colonised other planets like Eltar, Inquiris, KO-35 and Mirinoi. Over the centuries, they learned to finesse the power of the Grid, forming armour, weapons and even giant machines to enable them in the fight against cosmic threats… and the power rangers were born.
With time, the Dragon and Phoenix faded to obscurity, becoming nothing more than myths and children's bedtime stories.

Earth
London
The golden wave passed through her body but it wasn't enough to purge the infinite energies of evil within her soul, instead it reignited them and truly awakened her.
The pink zeo ranger wrinkled her nose underneath her helmet on recognising the particular energy signature… Zordon of Eltar! So that self-proclaimed saint sacrificed himself to save the universe. She should have expected this.
The quantrons and pirhanatrons around her disintegrated and the people around her started rejoicing and hugging each other amidst the collapsed buildings and wrecked roads.
They called out her name, hailing her as a hero. Some even embraced her, thanking her for saving them.
Fools! They don't know what she was about to do now… The entire world would burn and she would dance to the song of their destruction.
She teleported away abruptly, back to her rented apartment, which had escaped destruction even though things were more than a little messy, with tables and chairs broken and objects littered on the floor, thanks to the seismic waves produced by the air strikes of the Quadrafighters.
She demorphed, instantly falling to the floor, fatigued from continuously fighting for hours, trying to singlehandedly protect the people of London herself.
If the eltarian energies had awakened her, then it might have awakened the Dragon and Phoenix as well.
The dishonourable deeds she had done in order to prevent Tommy and Kim from realizing their true destinies… the letter she had fabricated to keep them apart,,, the subtle manipulations by talking to them separately, making them doubt and despise each other,,, All her plans had been foiled, all thanks to Zordon.
If they had awakened, it was a matter of time till they realised the truth and came after her.
Her initial mission had been to kill them and harvest their energies before their souls reincarnated into new bodies. In order to blend into the simple society of Angel Grove, she had created a fake identity… a fake life… fake parents… fake memories even! For her disguise to be perfect, her real memories had to be sealed. When the time was right, her memories would return and she would capture the Dragon and Phoenix, using their life forces to finally free her Master.
But then she became entangled in Rita Repulsa's devious plans and ultimately ended up as a Power Ranger. Due to all the mind warps and exposure to the grid, she developed an alter ego that genuinely believed she was nice, naive Katherine Hillard. And unfortunately, "Katherine" was in control, not her. Her alter-ego had started to care about both Tommy and Kim deeply, while she was buried in the recesses of her own mind. However, she occasionally broke free long enough to stir up trouble like writing fake letters. Even if she was unable to free her Master, she would never let those two live a blissfully happy life.
However, it turned out that fate paved a way for her to break free.
Oh, the irony! Zordon sacrificing his life to purge all evil but instead unleashing a greater threat than he could have ever imagined.
Nobody could stop her now.
For centuries, she had hunted the avatars of the Dragon and the Phoenix, relishing in their pain and confusion over why they were being tortured to death but each and every time, she had failed to harvest their souls. She promised this time would be different.
Maybe this time, she wouldn't need them at all.
She just needed a soul born from the Dragon and Phoenix… their son.
Before they were reincarnated into Tommy and Kimberly, they were James and Lily Potter. However, before she could get to them, they had been murdered and their son placed in the confines of powerful wards.
She smirked at the zeonizer on her wrist. No ward was strong enough to resist even a fraction of the power of the zeo crystal though.
Katherine's eyes flashed an ominous purple…
The real battle began today and Harry Potter would be the key to her success!

Headmaster's Office
Albus Dumbledore may have been the world's greatest wizard but a little-known fact… He was also a man of science. After all, if a person lives for more than a century, wasn't he bound to be a little curious about nearly everything?
He loved physics, chemistry, mathematics and biology. It was a wonder how much the muggles have accomplished so many things without using magic. And the thing that intrigued him most, unlike magic, which only 25% of the world's population can use, everyone can apply science to their lives. The laws of science were not selective to particular bloodlines. Everyone can learn the secrets of the universe with science if they so wanted…
So while classes were being conducted downstairs, he was busy learning about the electromagnetic spectrum.
"Albus, aren't you supposed to be concerned about something else, namely the rise of the Dark Lord instead of learning about muggle gibberish?"
"I am… It's called multitasking, Professor Nigellus."
"Sometimes I don't understand if you are a boy who never grew up or an old lunatic too senile to be responsible." The man in the portrait scoffed.
"Maybe both. Most probably neither." Albus mused, not sparing his predecessor a single glance as he was too engrossed to observe the momentary deflection in the galvanometer.
"Albus, please. You can still save yourself." Amando Dippet said from his portrait.
"Amando, please. While I understand your concerns, I am at peace. Please respect my choices." Albus looked at his damaged hand. Spells and enchantments were preventing the curse from spreading any further however that did not change the inevitable… His death was looming over him.
Fortunately, another plan had concocted itself within his brain, one that wouldn't let his death be in vain… something that would save the innocence of one of his students, however misguided he may be. He would most certainly die but Draco Malfoy would get a chance to redeem himself and Severus would remain as one of Voldemort's close confidants.
Albus was at peace with it. He was not afraid of death.
However at the moment, he had free time to do with as he pleased, which was rather rare considering his various obligations as the Headmaster, Supreme Mugwump and the leader of the Order of Phoenix… and he was absolutely sure of how he wanted to spend the time he had left… catching up with old friends, studying science and reading muggle literature.
Suddenly, a golden wave burst through the walls and swiftly hit him. Though it was just for a moment, it felt like hours. Time stilled to a stop and he felt someone reach his mind, asking for help. He got a vision of the threats to come… absolute carnage, the entire world in ruins while a demon towered over them all… something far bigger than Voldemort and the fate of the wizarding world.
How can I help? He asked and got another vision in response.
Two golden orbs of light merging to one. He wanted to merge his soul with his own.
I would volunteer, if I could but-
Albus looked down to see golden energy course through his hand, healing it completely, no traces of the curse left in any part of his body.
How?
Magic but different than your own. Will you save me, Albus Dumbledore of Earth? Do you accept to merge our souls together and become the next Grand Guardian of the universe?
I do.
Albus didn't regret it. He might be merging with someone else' soul but he would be part of something greater.
The consequences were instantaneous as memories that weren't his own flashed before his mind's eye, rooting themselves deep within his brain. For the first time in decades, Albus had no clue of what was going on. This wasn't telepathy, possession or even housing two souls in a body… It was mind melding in it's purest form.
He was no longer just Albus Dumbledore, he was also Zordon of Eltar as well as everyone who came before them.
He remembered the war against Dark Spectre and even more importantly, what was coming next…
Zordon had seen it when he had accidentally unlocked Katherine's true self… The Tenga.
She was coming to Hogwarts for Harry.
As funny as it was, it seemed Harry was not just the Chosen One now… He was much more than that… He was the son of the Dragon and the Phoenix.
The flow of time resumed as the golden wave crossed him and headed for the rest of the universe…
"What happened?" Amando asked curiously.
"Change." He replied, rubbing his forehead. "A great war is approaching. An evil far worse than Voldemort. We must be prepared."
Ignoring the quizzical looks sent in his direction, he raised his wand, conjuring his patronus, a phoenix.
"Find them." He whispered.
The phoenix disappeared in a streak of silver flames, heading for the unknown.
The coming battle was going to be tougher than anything the wizarding world or the power rangers had faced on their own but together, they might just have a small chance of survival.
"May the Power protect us all!"
