Chapter-2 Trouble on the Horizon- Secrets and more Secrets
15 mins after council meeting-In Hokage's office:
Minato's secretary enters the room,"Hokage-sama, Fugaku-sama and Shikaku-sama wants to speak to you."
"Oh yes. Send them in."
"Ok Hokage-sama."
"Hokage-sama you wanted to discuss something with us?" Fugaku asked with his eternal stoic manner.
"Yes I have some very sensitive matters to discuss. I am waiting for Jiraiya Sensei. As soon as he arrives we will begin."-Minato replied with his usual calm demenor. But his icy blue eyes reflected the seriousness of this matter.
"Troublesome..."Shikaku muttered lazily...
"Hey there my favorite student you wanted to see this old man?"- A man with white hair wearing a pale green kimono with matching gloves, fishnet undergarments, a red jacket with yellow spots over pecs and red geta and forehead protector with kanji for oil written into it - asked from the window of Hokage office and enterd the office through window.
"Oh Jiraiya Sensei, I was just talking about you."
"Yes I know Minato you can't stop talking about me as how awesome I am, ha ha ha ha..."
"Sensei, you won't change. Won't you?"
"Nope. Never."
"Fine. Now that you have arrived. We can start this meeting. But first things first." Minato's expression changed. He took out a silencing seal from his pouch and a seal detection seal from his pouch. As soon as he activated the seal detection seal it gave a red signal to Minato. He searched under his desk and took out a listening seal. Minato destroyed it using a fire jutsu.
As soon as Minato destroyed the listening seal Shikaku's lazy demeanor was gone. He asked,"What was that seal? A listening seal?"
Everyone's face in the room hardened.
"Yes it was a listening seal. I don't know when it was planted or who planted it. But as I am going to discuss with you some SS class secret I did not want to take any risk. It seems I was right. We have mole inside Konoha." Jiraiya, Fugaku and Shikaku frowned after hearing about a mole inside Konoha who has ability to bug the Hokage's office. It is indeed not good. For Kami's sake who knows how many secrets are revealed to enemies.
Then Minato signalled all Anbu present in shadows of the corner of the room and ordered them to vacate the premise.
After all anbu left the room Minato started again,"Gentlemen, I am going to share some SS class secretc some of which is only known by me, late Lord 3rd Hokage and Jiraiya Sensei. Not only the fate of Konoha, probably the fate of entire world is related to these secrets. This is not only matter of national security but also matter of Global Security. First I want to ask you what you guyz know about the Kyubi attack?"
Fugaku answered,"According to official news from your office(To rest of Konoha, the cause of the attack was stated as natural disaster) to all Elite Jonins and Clan heads, due to childbirth the seal used to contain Kyubi in Kushina was destroyed and Kyubi got out of the seal and started a rampage before Lord 3rd sealed it in himeself and died. And now I think this is not the whole truth."
"Yes. You are correct this is not whole truth. There is more to it." Minato then took a deep breath, took out a file from his drawer, labeled as CONFIDENTIAL-SS CLASS. The file was sealed using a blood seal. In the middle of the file there was a circle. 4 chain or thread of seal were spread out from the circle to all 4 corners of the file. Minato cut his thumb using his kunai and put a drop of blood on the seal of the file. The seal started emitting red light then all threads first turned into red then all threads retracted to the circle unsealing the contents of the file.
"This file contains SS Clsss secret. Gentlemen, all of you surely know the consequences if you divulge any scret from this file or from this discussion outside."
Jiraiya, Fugaku and Shikaku nodded.
Before seeing the contents of this file I shall share some specifics of Kyubi's attack so that you can understand the magnitude of graveness of the contents of this file.
All of the high ranking leaf official nodded. Anxiety was evident on their faces.
"As you know the seal was weakened due to childbirth. That is correct but it was not weakened enough to let free the Kyubi. After giving birth to Naruto, seal on Kushina was weakened but I was there to repair the seal. But as soon as I started repairing the seal a man with orange swirled mask with one eyehole attacked us."
As soon as Minato told this atmosphere in the room got more tensed.
"What do you mean Minato? Are you saying that a man infiltrated the place which was secret known only to you and Lord 3rd and guarded by 6 elite anbu commandos and attacked you?"
"That's exactly what I am saying Fugaku. First he killed all of the Anbu Comandoes without being detected. Then He took Naruto hostage. As soon as I tried to rescue Naruto he threw him in the air attaching paper bombs to the blanket wrapping him. I had to Hiraishin to a safe house of mine while throwing the blanlet in the void I pass through during Hiraishin. Then as soon as I returned I saw Kushina was abducted. I placed a Hiraishin seal on Kushina as precaution. I teleported to her but I was too late. The mad man had already extracted Nine tails from Kushina."
Minato took a moment before starting again,"After that If I describe briefly, after sending Kushina to the same safehouse of Naruto, I went to the Hokage momument to stop Kyubi's Tailed Beast Bomb attack. As soon as I teleported the bomb away that mysterious mad man reappeared behind me using some kind of space-time teleportation Ninjutsu. He tried the jutsu on me probably trying to teleport me away and capture me and stop me. I used my Hiraishin to teleport myself to a safer location outside village and he was teleported with me."
"And that's when I noticed it."
Minato paused again thinking about his next words.
Shikaku asked,"What you noticed?"
"I noticed that one eyed masked man's only eye upclose. It was a Sharingan. And then he told me he is controlling Kyuubi with his eye and I can't stop him and he will kill me."
As soon as he dropped this information it was like a thunderstrike that hit Shikaku and Fugaku. This information has huge implications. Firstly if this was true the Uchiha name will be tarnished in Hidden Leaf Village. They would be isolated and seen as mosters. Secondly who was this mysterious man? If he is currently a leaf citizen and part of Uchiha clan then they would be held responsible not only for harboring a traitor but it may also lead to war between leaf and Uchiha clan and that will certainly lead to the destruction of both Uchiha and Konoha. And last but not least who was this mysterious masked Uchiha? Controlling a tailed beast was only in legends only done by an Uchiha Ancestor, Madara Uchiha against first Hokage Hashirama Senju in the fight of Valley of the End. Although how he controlled the most powerful tailed beast is not known.
The more terrifying thing is who was this person? Madara Uchiha himself? Or someone else who has attained the level of his power? In both cases it was terrifying and an extreme danger to the existence of Leaf.
Minato gave some time to sink in the information he had revealed. Then he continued, "After that I fought the man, used my Rasengan to hit him and used a contract seal on him to break his controll on nine tails. He retreated before I could kill or capture the man with a warning or rather, I say threat."
"What threat?", Fugaku asked with a worried expression and tone.
"He said he will come back again, destroy Konoha and rule this entire world."
"Too much bad news in one day. Too much troublesome."-Shikaku said with his eternal lazy demeanor but anxiety was evident on his face.
During this discussion first time Jiraiya spoke," In last 25 days I have been contacting with my spies through out the elemental nations. I got nothing about the mysterious masked man, literally nothing. And that worries me more."
"Yes Sensei. And there is more. Read this file. When I hit that man with my Rasengan he was heavily injured and some white like substances fell from his body. Apparently, his right hand was made up with this white like substance. I sent our forensic ninja team to the spot later to collect the sample and run some analysis on it. Results are unexpected."
Then Minato gave the file to Jiraiya. After reading the contents of the file only one reaction came from Jiraiya-"What the fuck?"
Shikaku took the file and reacted in his usual way,"What a drag..." But when Fugaku read that file he was shocked.
Shikaku said,"It certainly makes this case more complicated and dangerous. There are too many unknown variables in this case. Who was that man? How can he control nine tails? Is he Madara Uchiha? If yes then how can he be alive now? If not, then who is this mysterious man? What is his end goal? What part does nine tails have in his plans? whatever those are how can he have first hokage cells and why some parts of his body is made of first Hokage cell? Last time we checked Madara Uchiha had no first hokage cells in his body and first hokage did not have Sharingan. Too much troublesome."
"This case is certainly complicated and a storm is brewing on the horizon. And if this information or even a hint of it gets out in public, the standing of our clan will get worsened in the village even more than the time of the betrayal of Madara Uchiha. People will see us with suspicion, contempt, and fear. They will think we are traitors."
"Yes Fugaku. I agree with you completely. As you have obviously observed that a certain faction led by Danzo is trying to do that exactly. I also know that Danzo stopped Uchiha clan to participate in the frontline to stop Kyuubi's attack. I am certain as Anbu have made me aware that suspicion against Uchiha clan is being planted in public by some people. Anbu is trying to find the perpetrators but I am sure it is Danzo and his faction."
"Yes Minato and you should be aware of Danzo. He is dangerous. Filled with darkness and fanaticism. And I have found some info that he has not disbanded root entirely. Root is still there and carrying out illeagal operations throughout elemental nations. But I have little to no proof. That sneaky little bastard and his root dogs know well to cover their tracks."-Jiraiya said with forwn on his face.
"Don't worry Sensei. Anbu are onto him. Eventually I WILL deal with him. I need some concrete proof. But untill then I have nothing against him to take actions. So, this is why untill that day comes, I have some backup plans to erase public suspicion on Uchiha."
"What plans do you have Lord 4th?"-Fugaku asked intently. Uchiha clan was one of the founding member clans of Konoha. And as clan leader he cannot let that 'One Eyed Devil' tarnish the pride of Uchiha Clan.
"I plan to recruite more non-uchiha to Leaf Police force. And in turn I plan to recruite more Uchiha clan members in our regular Ninja Forces. So that public will be more in direct touch with Uchiha clan members outside police force. And we know sometimes to maintain Law and Order police force must take strong actions which are not always easy or according to public approval. So, in this way ny recruting more non-Uchiha in Police Force not all decision or action taken by Police Force will reflect on the clan. In addition to that it is my request to the Uchiha clan to send their children to other parks used by other clans and civilians more to integrate future uchiha generations more with Konoha. Maybe by in this way the rift created by our predecssors between Konoha and the Uchiha clan maybe diminished us."
Fugaku smiled (probably first in million years LMAO) and said, "Lord 4th you have really thought this through. Haven't you?"
Minato smiled and said,"Well this is our responsibility to correct the mistakes made by our predecessors. And these are only first few steps."
"And Fugaku, I have another proposal for you."
"What is that?" Fugaku asked Minato.
"As you know Fugaku, before Kyuubi attack, Lord 3rd was my Chief Advisor, Jiraiya Sensei was my Spymaster as before and Shikaku was my Chief Military Strategist. After Lord 3rd's heroic death the position of Chief Advisor is blank and I have no interest to give that position to Danzo or any old hag from the council." Minato smirked,"So Fugaku, I want you to take the position and enter the central government of Leaf. And don't think I am offering this to you to appease the Uchiha Clan. I am offering you this postition because I think you deserve this."
" So, Jonin and Uchiha Clan Head Fugaku Uchiha, do you accept this position and swear on your clan name to serve Konoha in the best of your abiities?"
Fugaku was moved by this proposition. It was unheard of in the history of Konoha after Uchiha Madara where a Uchiha was offered a position and a important one in the Central Government. He could understand that Minato was eager to do anything to solve the problems between Konoha and Uchiha Clan and bridge the gap between Uchiha Clan and rest of the village. But he did not expect Minato to go this far just after Kyuubi attack when there were reasonable reasons to have suspicion on the Uchiha Clan to have a hand in the suddent attack of the Nine tails.
Fugaku thought for a moment. Then he replied,"Lord 4th I am flattered by your offer. And I swear on my clan name I will serve Konoha to the best of my abilities."
"Then it's settled. Welcome to the Central Government." Minato said happily.
Meanwhile Jiraiya was smiling and praising his student in his mind, 'You sly bastard... You have not only stopped anymore animosity from Uchiha clan to leaf in future but also you are oiling enough the stoic bastard before detonating another bomb. Bravo. Let's see how that goes.
After the end the congratulatory part from Shikaku and Jiraiya Minato started again.
"Gentlemen, I am going to reveal another SS Class secret involving the Kyuubi attack and my family. As you know it should not be revealed outside without my permission. Or else it will be treated and treason."
"As you gentlemen know, Lord 3rd used the Death Reaper seal to seal the Kyuubi in himself and God of Death took his as well as Kyuubi's soul to his belly. But this is not entirely true. He did not have enough chakra to seal the entirety of Kyuubi as it is made of nothing but huge amount of condensed and potent Chakra. So, he sealed Yin half of it in himself. And yang half of it in a just born child as it can't be sealed in a grown man who have fully developed chakra coils. The child is no one but..." Minato paused for a moment, thought something, and continued,"... my first-born child, my son, Naruto."
As soon as he revealed this there was pin drop silence in the room. Several seconds later, Fugaku spoke up, "Lord Hokage, how can you do this to your own child?". Fugaku sounded agitated. He continued,"Have you thought how it will affect life of your child? If this gets out, he won't have a normal childhood. He will be unable to make friends. People will make him outcast. People will give respect as Hokage's son but they will still glare at him with hatred and fear."
"And not to say that this is a huge burden on a child. This is not a easy or normal task to keep the nine tails at bay and being its jailor. He may even resent you in future for that."
Fugaku's reaction was unexpected to Shikaku as Fugaku was known for his stoic manner and cold attitude. But it was all according to Minato and Jiraiya's plan. And who knows maybe Fugaku was really a fluffy teddy bear in the heart? LMAO... Just kidding... But maybe, who knows?
"Yes Fugaku, I know that I have gave my son a huge burden. And I know maybe he will resent me for that in future. But I believe in my child and I think this is the only way. If Madara Uchiha or powerful similar to him is out there then we need Kyuubi's power. And it is not unheard of controlling and bijuu's power completely. Kumogakure's 8tails Jinchuriki has perfect control on 8tails power. So I jope my son will be able to do that. We need this power; else I have a feeling that we won't be able to stand against the upcoming threats."
"Moreover, I am the Hokage of this village. How can I want someone else to sacrifice his child when as a father I am not ready to sacrifice my own? And safety of every villager is my responsibility and all of them are my family. So as a Hokage I can't tell someone to sacrifice his child. So, my own son Naruto is the only choice. Besides, Naruto is half Uzumaki. So, he has enough highly potent chakra to keep the kyubi in check. Who has better chance to protect everyone else other than Naruto?"
Fugaku could not disagree with Minato's argument. It was reality. Afterall if you want to defeat Madara Uchiha or someone powerful as him, then you have to be powerful as Hashirama Senju if not more. And there was no living shinobi who can be comapred to these two living legends. Even Minato was nowhere near the level of Hashirama Senju or Madara Uchiha. And Uzumakis are always the best candidates to be a jinchuriki. And he knows that well.
"So, in the meantime, what should we do about this threat? We have too little information about that man." Shikaku asked worriedly. He could understand the gravity of the situation fully well. This threat can't be overlooked.
"Jiraiya sensei is already gathering inntelligence on this man and his plan. I want you and Fugaku to investigate every document in Konoha Library, Archives and books and documents of Uchiha private library. Fugaku if it's possible take Shikaku to your clan's private library to find any info linking to Madara or this mysterious man. I know clan library is out of bounds for outsiders. No problem but we need to investigate everything to unearth any clue linking to Madara Uchiha, this mysterious man and their plan."
"I understand lord 4th. But not only it's against clan law but it will also raise suspicion if I admit Shikaku in our clan library. I don't want to take any chance if there is a traitor hidden within our clan. So, I will investigate our library on my own while Shikaku can investigate Konoha Archives and Shinobi Library. No one will suspect anything in that way."
"That works for me. But it's too much work. Troublesome...", Shikaku answered lazily.
Minato, Jiraiya and Fugaku got sweatdropped(anime style) when trying to smile on Shikaku's lazy behavior even in this tense situation.
"Ok Gentlemen, I think we can end this meeting for now. I think I should head home and spend some time with Kushina and Naruto."
"Yes. You should head home. You are spending way too much time in office." Jiraiya spoke.
"Yes Sensei. I have a gut feeling Kushina is furious because of it so I should head home or else I shall end up in couch tonight. It is pretty late already."-Minato chuckled and checked his table clock which was showing 8PM. The meeting with Jiraiya, Fugaku and Shikaku took almost 2 hours.
"So gentelmen you are dismissed. And Sensei please wait a bit for me." Everyone nodded. While Shikaku and Fugaku exited the room, Jiraiya stayed.
Jiraiya spoke up,"Sarutobi Sensei had really good eyes. You are not only superior fighter and known as Yellow Flash but you are also very shrewd politician. Your plan to mend Konoha's relation with Uchiha clan seems to be working. I am proud of you."
Minato answered tiredly, "Thank you Sensei for the praise but I really hope this works out. We need stronger and united Konohagakure in the face of upcoming unknown powerful enemies."
"Don't worry brat. Everything will be alright Let's head back home. My godson is waiting for me." Jiraiya said with his usual full-face smile.

biginferno:- Naruto will be paired. But he will only have one wife. But that does not mean he can't flirt with multiple girls when he is single. But he will go in relation with only one girl and he will marry her. Who will it be? That's a surprise.
