The White Fang is a Faunus organization in Remnant. Founded following the Faunus Rights Revolution. They were a peaceful activist group, strived to improve the relationship between human and Faunus. They fought for civil rights and equality. But what they became was far from their original goals. Protest became conflict, negotiation became threats and they wanted superiority, not equality. Instead of improving their social status, they forced human to serve them.

It wasn't a sudden change, the truth was, it might be what many wanted. A lot of the White Fangs were ex-slaves or victim of discrimination. Some lost their family. Some were treated as animals. Tortured, scarred, insulted. Maybe what they wanted wasn't peace and rights, but vengeance.

It was what drove the little Agate to this path. As Faunus, her family wasn't welcomed by Mantle. They never belonged to anywhere. And after her mother's death. She had enough. At the time, the White Fang welcomed her, she felt like she was in a big family. She was motivated by their cause, their vision. She trained, she fought, she risked her life for them, for family. It was the best time of her life.

But that best time passed.

"What is the meaning of this, lieutenant?" Agate almost roared at the burly man.

"It means we are going to take the next cargo of dust of the SDC, what in this you haven't done a hundred time before?" The Vulture Faunus crossed his arms, stared at the young girl.

"Don't we have enough already? Why must we steal more from them?"

"First of all, the only one who steal here is that damned piece of sh*t Jacques Schnee. He steals the effort, no, the blood and sweat of our people and lives on it. We are only taking back what ours. And secondly, there is no such thing called 'enough'. We will take away everything to the last grain of dust to show the human their lesson if we have to."

"What about the people? There can't be enough dust for those in Vale if we continue doing this." She grabbed his shirt collar and pulled his face down. But it only made him look more menacing as his red eyes stared straight to hers.

"Listen, Agate. I don't give half of a f**k about that sh*tty city. Vale or Atlas, they are all the same. If they are human, they deserved it. If they are Faunus, they should know better and joined us instead."

She released the collar. Her whole body shook.

"No, this is wrong…"

The man slowly walked toward her, she stepped back until her back touched the wall.

"Wrong, Agate? Don't you remember how they treated your mother? How your family was pushed around like a dog? Don't you remember that day, when you and your mother were chased by them, and how they viol-"

"Enough!" She yelled. "Don't you dare talk about my mother!"

"Agate, don't you want to make her proud? To avenge her?" He put both of his hands on the girl and pulled her closer. Fear filled her eyes.

"No… leave me alone…"

Suddenly, the mood of the man changed. He put both of his hand on the air, shrugged.

"Alright, alright. Sorry, Agate, but you know how vital this mission is to our operation. Look on the bright side, will ya? With our action, life of the folks in the city looks much better now. Maybe one day you can find a man to bring into one of their fancy place. But now? We have to do our part." He pat her shoulder and returned to the crowd.

"Now, we have to discuss the routes. Dan, give me the map…"

Their voice faded. All she could hear was her mother voice… and Blake's.

'I have enough, Agate. I can't stay here any longer. Everything changed, it isn't the same anymore…'

"I should have listened to you Blake." A tear ran on her left cheek.

As terrify Glenn was in the stories, it was like many other city at night. Empty streets, painted with moonlight. Clear sky and tall buildings, a sight both beautiful and menacing. But it wasn't time for sightseeing.

Agate sneaked out of the camp. Lucky for her, they were preparing for the attack, only a few were guarding the place from Grimms.

She had enough. When they allied with that criminal, Roman Torchwick, she already had bad feelings. She was disgusted when she saw her brothers and sisters in Vale. And when even her camp, one located in Glenn, was ordered to help those in Vale and prepare for something big, she had enough. When that criminal came to her camp, he ordered her people around like they were his grunts. But what shocked her was that they complied. She couldn't take it anymore.

She reached the empty street and hid behind a ruined wall. She thought about her next move. Where should she go? She couldn't return, no. To Vale? Too far, too dangerous, Grimm everywhere. Then she remembered that Beacon often sent their students to Glenn for training. To be honest, when she was with the White Fang, they were a pain. But it changed, they could be her way out. She only needed to disguise herself as a refugee and ask them for help.

'This could work…" She looked around, made sure that no one was following her. She need to find a place to stay until someone from Beacon came. She made up her mind and started to move toward one of the high building. Being a Coyote Faunus had some perks, she had much better sense than other. And suddenly, she found a familiar scent.

A man dropped from the sky and pinned her down. It was her lieutenant.

"Tch-tch… Bad girl, bad girl. What are you doing out here, Agate? With all of this dust and supplies?" He picked her duffle bag up, checked the contents.

Three other Faunus walked out of the shadow, with batons and staffs in hand.

"Do you want to go camping somewhere. Little girl?" He kicked her to the sidewalk. "Want to go meet your friend Blake?"

She coughed and rose up, her body hurt.

"You know, when Adam lamented about Blake's 'vacation', I was worried about you too. Since the high leader once said…" He took out a sledge hammer.

Agate stood still, ready to fight. But out of nowhere, three other Faunus walked out of the shadow, with batons and staffs in hand. They hit her from behind, knocked her down in front of the lieutenant. Her head was still dizzy from the lieutenant's landing, she cursed under her breathe.

"You can't trust a human…" He took a moment to admire the hammer, felt it weight in his hand, then swung it hard at her abdomen. Her aura shattered, pain ran across her body.

"Or a half-blood." His boot stomped on her chest. "Looks like she is right after all."

He signaled the other to came closer. "Don't kill her if you can, make her suffer. This is what happens when you put too much trust in a half-blood, they leave you for their human friends and betray you when they find the first opportunity to do so."

He spread his wing and flew up, left the three to finish his work.

"So… Agate, nothing personal, alright?" They came closer, weapons. "But can't just leave the White Fang, at least not with that attitude…"

The beating started.

She started to bleed. She could feel her rib broke, her arms losing its strength. She could see her mother… their old house… the corn field…

'What do you want to be, Agate?' Her mother asked. Her gentle voice echoed in the young girl's mind.

'I want to be a huntsmen, like dad! I will beat the bad guys and the grimm, to protect our field!' She posed, tried to look like the huntsman statue in Beacon, where her father worked.

Her mother laughed. 'You will be one, Agate. I know that you will be a great person when you grow up.'

"I… sorry… ma…" She whispered. Breathing became harder. Light started to fade.

"Served her right… What was that?"

The beating stopped. Something were moving near them.

"Was that a Grimm?" One of them looked around. A loud 'bang' followed by a scream.

"AGHHHH! My leg!" A White Fang fell down. A bullet pierced through his shin.

"What the hell? Can't your aura stop it?"

But he didn't answer, instead, he hugged his leg, crying.

"He hasn't unlocked it yet. Have you?"

"Of course I di-" A hatchet hit the back of his head, knocked him down.

"What the-?!" The last Faunus was shaken. He darted his eyes around, tried to find the attacker. "Come out of there and fight me, you little sh*t!"

Suddenly, he saw an axe headed straight to his face.

The blade of the axe carved into his mask, nearly broke his aura.

But it was enough to put the Faunus down. The wounded Faunus looked at the attacker in terror and tried to crawl away. Before he could do so, the attacker grabbed his wounded leg and twist it. He cried and fainted due to the pain.

Agate looked up. She saw a tall man, dressed in some kind of coat. The pair of bright green eyes were the last thing she saw before passed out.
