Lily 's POV.

Seeing our children grow is a blessing and seeing them grow up surrounded by people who love and support them is a double blessing.

These years have not been easy for any of us, but we have managed to have the peace of mind of raising Harry, Hermione and Laura away from the influences that would try to manipulate them in our home country.

We managed to avoid the seekers who sent both the light side and the dark side after us and managed to settle in Canada, more specifically in a place called Kelowna. It was a rather large community but there was no wizarding district, the only one was located in between Toronto and Mississauga with some tunnels made by goblins. It really is a beautiful district, it combines muggle technology with magic, the wizards in Canada had more tolerance for the muggles or no mag as they called them.

These 7 years went by in the blink of an eye. Harry and Hermione have been inseparable and to prepare them James, Sirius and I hired the best private tutors to teach them magic and the Grangers hired the best non-magical tutors money can buy.

Both became prodigies in their studies and although they spent a lot of time alone, their social skills were not affected. Harry decided to take hockey classes and joined the team where he found non-magical friends who helped him feel normal without the stigma of being famous in the wizarding world, on the other hand, Hermione decided to go ice skating which helped her get out of her shell without neglecting his love of books.

Over time, several families considered neutral in the British magical world moved to different countries seeking refuge from the constant disputes between the dark and light Greengrasses moved to Spain with the Davises, the Lovegoods moved to New Jersey near the Longbottoms, and the Zabinis moved to their native Italy. We have kept in touch, visiting on birthdays or on vacation, the children have formed a strong friendship.

The news that has reached us after the departure of our friends has left us in doubt. Dumbledore has apparently decided to keep a low profile and after the first few years stopped his search, and Voldemort's followers feel safe in their positions of power around the Ministry of Magic, enforcing increasingly oppressive laws against those born to fathers non-magical and against everything non-magical.

Mom! Guess what? Antoine is having a party at his house and we are invited— said the not so little Harry. Everyday I thank the gods that we survived and he was a normal child.

What about Hermione and your sister? Are they invited too?- I asked, ruffling his hair.

Of course! He knows that if Hermione or Laura are not invited I won't come —- he said.

Ok baby, let me talk to the Grangers and your dads, but I am pretty sure that we will go to the party— I said smiling. It didn't take me long to locate the Grangers, they lived two houses down from ours, the neighborhood was an upper class one because we could afford it but the kids were raised to be humble.

The Grangers continued to expand their dental clinics and travel a lot on business so when they can't see Hermione, we take care of her, after all she will be our daughter-in-law in the future. At first it was not easy, finding the balance between both families had difficulties, however we were able to overcome these by talking and fulfilling our promise that our family would do everything possible to keep the children safe from the magical world and from those who were looking for us.

Hello? Is anyone home?- I said entering the house after ringing the bell.

Aunt Lily! Hi! What is going on?- Said Mia.

Where are your parents? — I said.

Right here Lily dear, care to join us for a cup of tea in the library? My feet are killing me— said Helen heavily walking towards the library. She was glowing, the arrival of the twins in a couple of months had her tired but the happiness emanating from her was contagious.

What do we owe the pleasure of your visit? Is everything alright?- Hugo said, his mustache twitching as he talked.

Nothing is wrong, Hermione along with my kids was invited to Antoine's birthday and I was wondering if she wanted to stay the weekend so you could rest, also we have to discuss schools as a family—- my voice taking a worried tone towards the end of my statement.

Yes, she can go and yes, just name the place and the time and we can discuss the topic— said Helen— and thank you for taking care of my baby and giving us some rest.

Yes, Auntie I will go! I can wear my new dress to the party! It will be an awesome sleepover— Mia said.

Now that our children are close to turning 11 years old and being eligible to start their magical education in one of the schools around the world, it is up to us to talk with them and make the decision of which school to choose.

I was worried they chose to go to Hogwarts but I also knew that they could face any challenge together.
