Everyone's finger was connected by a simple string.
Most of it was red while some of it was yellow, particularly the parts connecting Antauri and Sprx and Gibson and Nova respectively. None of them knew what the yellow meant until Gibson and Nova fell for one another. When a relationship formed, their share of the string became brighter. It was only something they could all see. They were all happy together and nothing could disrupt it.
They didn't know what the other string that was on their other finger ventured to, but it was green for Otto, Nova, and Gibson while it was red for Antauri and Sprx. All of them figured it was nothing to worry about.
That was until they came out of stasis. All five of them saw that the second string connected to Chiro's finger. Antauri's and Sprx's hearts sank while everyone was simply in shock. None of them knew if Chiro's look at them was his reaction to the string, or if it was his reaction to meeting them. He never commented on it and they weren't too sure if it was a good thing or a bad thing.
Once Chiro was shown around the Super Robot and given a place to rest, they allowed themselves to talk about it. Antauri freaked out, Sprx tried to calm him down, and everyone tried to figure things out. Gibson, Nova, and Otto now weren't too sure about what the green was going to be. Sprx held Antauri's hand as he looked at the others. He gave a reasonable explanation that whatever might happen between them and Chiro, it might be when he was an adult. Everyone hoped so, but Sprx didn't show how he was feeling about the whole thing.
None of them knew what to do.
