I smiled softly at myself as I leaned my head on top of hers. Her blue streak of hair tickled my cheek as we swayed slowly together. Two memories of this moment danced together within my mind as my past and the present started to intertwine together.

I had Claire tight against me as my phone speakers sang softly to us over on my Vespa's seat. I couldn't handle dancing with her to the same song as before. One that she would never remember as I would, so I found another that touched me just as much as the original. Its emotions and lyrics give words to the feelings I have been aching to express for the months I have been in this timeline.
"I would never fall in love again until I found her"
I said, "I would never fall, unless it's you I fall into"
I was lost within the darkness, but then I found her
I found you
I promised her I wouldn't give up on us. That pained voice of hers echoed in my mind every time I thought I had ruined it all over again. I would remember how she loved me through everything else in our original time and how I owed it to her to love her just as much through this one. Even if it wasn't truly the Claire I loved originally.
She was still Claire nonetheless. The same smile. The same touch. The same her.
"I would never fall in love again until I found her." I sang softly against her hair as my eyes closed gently. The image of the Claire I once knew danced within my mind as I tightened my hold on her ever so slightly. "I said, I would never fall unless it's you I fall into." I felt her squeeze my hand gently while I felt like I was singing for two separate Claires at the same time. "I was lost within the darkness, but then I found her." I opened my eyes slowly as a broken smile spread across my face. "I found you."
I have her again. I found her. I found us. I have us. That's all I truly needed.
Claire adjusted ever so slightly so she could lay her head on my shoulder as I fought my best to not break down crying in her arms. I tried my best to savor the moment. I knew what was about to come. I knew the hells we were doomed to face together and the pain I would place upon her soon enough. The Darklands are soon to come, after all. Tobes would inevitably go through and knowing myself, I would follow. Only time will say if she would come too.

But for now, I can say I kept my promise to her. That the love of both my lives is with me once more. Not the exact same, but my Juliet nonetheless.
I was lost within the darkness, but then I found her.
I pulled back ever so slightly to look down at her face to see the same loving gaze she had given me once before. A sparkle in her deep chocolate eyes that were breathtaking as always in the moonlight.
I found you.
And I only wish I could sway with you here into oblivion. Just like this.
