When Inuyasha and Kagome arrived at Miroku's place, they were greeted by their friends. Sango and Kagome hugged while Inuyasha and Miroku fist bumped.
The boys were in the kitchen, sipping a beer while Miroku was cooking his homemade ramens that were almost making Inuyasha drool (almost). The girls sat in the living room with a bottle of wine and 2 glasses.
Sango poured some wine to her friend and herself. She took a sip while looking intently at Kagome.
"What?" questioned Kagome.
"Nothing... Unless there's something?" she asked, lifting one eyebrow.
"I don't know what you're talking about." She put her glass down on the side table and crossed her arms.
"Don't act all innocent, Kagome. I know you. I know that look and that smile. What happened between you and him?" asked Sango in a hushed tone.
Kagome blushed thinking about earlier.
"I knew it! Is he good?" She asked, winking at her friend.
"Sango! That did not happen!"
"No? Then why are you blushing, hm?"
Kagome picked up her glass of wine and took a sip, trying to look unaffected.
"We only made out." she answered.
Sango leaned toward her friend.
"Oh I want details!"
"The only thing I'll tell you is that I kissed him first. And he did not mind at all." she told her, smiling softly.
"Bold move. I hope it wasn't just a one time thing."
"Yeah me too. I definately want to explore further..."
"Explore what, Kagome?" a masculine voice asked behind them.
She turned around to find Inuyasha standing behind the couch, grinning at her. Her face turned a brighter shade of red and Sango snorted.
"Ah hum we... We were talking about a trip I did before and I want to go back to explore further!"
"Oh really?" Inuyasha answered with a crooked smile. "And where is that?"
"Hum... It's in-"
"The dinner is served!" called Miroku.
Kagome was relieved to have been interrupted before she sank further in her attempted lie.
The girls got up and went to the kitchen (without forgetting to bring their wine). Inuyasha let them go first and as he was following Kagome, he murmured: "Don't forget I have enhanced senses. I can hear pretty well..." He chuckled when he saw her tense.
They all sat around the rectangular table, Sango et Miroku on one side, Inuyasha and Kagome on the other.
The black haired girl was unable to look at the hanyo. He, on the other hand, was side-eying her, a smile on his lips while he was eating his favorite meal.
"Guys? We just wanted to tell you that me and Miroku are officially together!" declared Sango, beaming.
"About damn time!" reacted the hanyo.
"I knew it would happen soon enough." said Kagome. "Congrats you two! I'm happy for you!"
The couple thanked them, smiling.
"Well Sango, I have to say, in the 6 years I've known this guy, it's the first time I see him in an official relationship." said the hanyo. "I don't know what you did to him, but you must be really good at it."
Sango blushed and Miroku chuckled.
"I'd say, Inuyasha, that she has everything I love about a woman and even more. Why would I want to let go such a goddess?" He turned towards Sango and winked at her before kissing her softly.
"Awww you two are really cute together!" added Kagome.
She suddenly glared at Miroku. "But you, if you ever hurt my friend or cheat on her, be sure I'll chase you down and kick your ass."
The latter waved his hands in front of him, shaking his head. "Don't worry! When I make a promise, I hold it. And besides, I'd never want to hurt anyone, especially Sango..."
"I hope so. You've been warned." Kagome pointed at her eyes with two fingers than at his eyes, mouthing I'm watching you. Inuyasha snorted.
Later that evening, the group was animatedly playing the Settlers of Catan board game. It was Miroku's turn.
"So I need sheeps. And I can give wood in exchange."
Sango and Inuyasha both answered at the same time. "Me!!"
"Come on Miroku! I really want your wood! And I need it more than Sango!"
"Oh Inuyasha, I didn't know you desired it that way..." answered the black haired guy, laughing.
Both girls snorted.
"Yeah, I'm not sure I want my boyfriend to share his wood anyway."
"Keh. You all know that's not what I meant." answered the hanyo, rolling his eyes.
The guys exchanged resources cards and Miroku upgraded a settlement into a town.
It was Kagome's turn. She rolled the dices and everyone collected their resources.
"I place a road here... and here." she said.
"No! Ah dammit Kagome you blocked my path!" exclaimed Inuyasha.
"Yup and I also get back the longest road bonus card that you have stolen from me earlier."
"What? No." The hanyo counted the number of blocks composing his main road and did the same for Kagome's.
"Shit." He gave her the card reluctantly and she sticked her tongue out at him.
"And you know what's even better? That gives me now 10 points. I won!"
"Thank you Miroku for having us tonight. It's been a long time since I had this much fun!" said Kagome, hugging him and then Sango.
"Hey the pleasure was mine! We should do that again soon."
After saying goodbye to their friends, Inuyasha drove Kagome back to her place. He stopped the engine and looked at her. He leaned toward her and, sliding a hand in her hair, kissed her. It was a long, slow kiss, taking his time to taste her and explore her mouth. She responded to his kiss, her hand resting on his forearm.
The hanyo reluctantly pulled away.
"I've been wanting to do this all night." he whispered.
"Me too..." She blushed. "I don't want you to go... I would ask you to stay tonight but... I'm not sure I'm ready to do..."
"Hey." he said softly. "Don't worry about that. I would love to spend more time with you and I'm not expecting anything. And you don't need to justify yourself."
Inuyasha caressed her cheek with his thumb and kissed her softly.
Kagome sighed in relief. "Thank you... Then, would you like to stay tonight?"
He smiled at her. "Yes."
Thirty minutes later, they were cuddling on her couch, trying to decide which movie to watch. Inuyasha's arm was around her shoulders, his hand caressing her upper arm while her head was pressed against the crook of his shoulder. Her hand was loosely gripping his t-shirt, just over his heart. They were covered with a fleece blanket and the hanyo was browsing through Netflix's movie suggestions.
They made their choice and watched the movie, surrounded by each other's warmth.
After it ended, it was really late so they got ready to go to bed.
"Do you have an extra pillow so I can set up the couch to sleep on it?" asked the hanyo.
"Well... If you'd like to, I have more than enough place in my bed..."
"I can't say no to this offer" he answered, one of his crooked smile on his lips.
Kagome got ready for the night in her bathroom. She was wearing black shorts and a pink tank top for pyjamas. She went to her bedroom. Inuyasha was sitting on her bed, looking at something on his phone.
When he heard her footsteps, he put his phone aside and looked at her.
"Kagome? I normally sleep only in my underwear... Is it ok with you?"
She smiled at him. "I don't mind."
He took his t-shirt off and she couldn't stop herself from staring. Oh. my. god. I knew people with yokai blood are often fit but damn...she thought.
When he kicked his jeans off, her mouth went dry. His body was... She didn't have the right words to describe what she saw. His muscles were very well defined but not too bulky, flexing under his skin with every movement he made. His chest and back were mostly hairless, except a little trail going down from under his navel. His thighs were muscular and his butt was hugged tightly in his black boxer briefs. She didn't dare to look at his front side though.
"Like what you see?" asked Inuyasha, chuckling.
Kagome's face turned beet red, having been caught ogling him. "I-I'm sorry I didn't mean to stare!" She answered, hiding her face in her hands.
The hanyo stood in front of her and gently took her hands away from her face, keeping them in his.
"I don't mind. It's actually very flattering. But if it makes you uncomfortable I can put my clothes back on."
"N-no it's ok. I was just not expecting that you would look like a damn greek god."
Inuyasha laughed. "Father's genes I guess."
He let go of her hands and got in the bed. He tapped the spot beside him. "Come here, you."
Kagome chuckled and slipped under the blankets. The hanyo scooted closer and she immediately claimed his lips. She was kissing him passionately, and the way he responded to her kiss was making her dizzy.
Inuyasha slid his arms around her and pulled her against him. The contact of his bare skin was driving her crazy. She snaked her arms around his neck without letting go of his mouth. Her heart was beating furiously. She didn't want to get too intimate tonight but she honnestly didn't know how long she would resist him.
Kagome kissed her way down from his jaw to his shoulder, tasting his soft skin. Her hand wandered on his chest and stomach, following the forms of his muscles. She noticed that he was breathing faster, and a low growl was reverberating in his throat. She felt somewhat powerful that she could make him react that way.
Inuyasha pushed her back gently. "My turn." He gave her a taste of her own medicine and when he reached a sweet spot, just at the jonction of her neck and shoulder, she couldn't hold a moan. He grazed his fangs lightly on her skin, eliciting other sweet sounds from her. That's when the smell of her arousal hit him. He suddenly couldn't think of anything else, wanting to tear up her clothes to feel her bare skin against him and...
This was new. He'd been intimate before with other women but never a smell made his body and mind react that much. The years of self control of his yokai side paid off, because he wasn't sure he would be able to resist giving in to his instincts otherwise. His youki was rising dangerously.
Inuyasha pulled back a bit, and noting Kagome's questioning look, he told her, his voice raspy "I just need a minute. I don't know what's happening but you smell so damn good, it's driving my yokai side crazy."
She blushed at what he said, and even more when she noticed how flustered he was. His eyes were closed and he was breathing heavily, his jaws tightened.
She slowly started caressing his hair and face in a calming motion. She felt him relax under her ministrations.
When he felt he had full control on himself again, he opened his eyes and kissed her softly.
"I'm sorry Kagome... This has never happened before. I'm not sure why but damn, my yokai side was reacting a lot. I hope I didn't scare you..." the hanyo apologized.
She looked at him in the eyes, smiling.
"You didn't do anything that could have scared me."
"I'm glad. I... I think, if you want that we continue on that path, we should take things slow until I figure out what the hell is happening to me. I don't want to lose control or hurt you..."
"I understand. And... yes I'd like to. It feels good when you're with me..." She smiled warmly.
Inuyasha smiled too and kissed her slowly, his hands cradling her head. It was a sweet, warm and heartfelt kiss.
Soon after, they settled in the bed for the night, the hanyo holding her close. "Good night beautiful." he said, kissing her shoulder gently. She sighed softly. "Good night handsome."
