Monica was doing her best to learn all that she can about the D-EL8 virus and Librium, but no luck. This one had her stuck and she wasn't sure what she could do.

"Monica, someone is here to see you." A fellow coworker claimed.

"Thanks. I think I need a break." Monica said as she had to step away from what she was working on. When she got up and went to the door, she was surprised to see that it was Marcus standing before her. She was quite pleased to see it was him as she walked right over and hugged him. "Well, well. Little Marky is back in town."

"I go by Marcus now, Monica." He corrected, but was glad to see her again. "It's great to see you, Monica."

"What are you doing here?" Monica asked.

"I... I actually need to talk to you about something that's been bothering me. It's about my brother." Marcus claimed. That got Monica's full attention.

"Is something wrong?" Monica asked.

"I'm not really sure." Marcus said. "I got back in town and got to talking with Mom about Paul. It had me thinking that I can't seem to remember when Paul revealed his identity to me. Neither of us can, and that's not something you would just forget. It's been bothering me and I can't seem to remember no matter how hard I try. I was wondering, since you're closer to Paul than anyone, do you remember when Paul revealed his identity to you?"

"Yeah. It was..." Monica started, but she started to think it over herself. "Weird. I can't seem to remember myself." They can't remember because those kinds of memories don't exist.

...

Paul

Paul wasn't the only one bothered by images in his mind. Ever since his last intimate moment with Sabella, his mind has been plagued by images of him and Monica. For whatever reason, he can't get her out of his mind. As he just sat on the roof of a building, he tried to figure out what it was.

"I don't get it. Why am I thinking of Monica like this?" Paul questioned. "I'm getting the sense of deja vu, like I've seen it all before. This doesn't make sense. It's like I'm trying to remember something, but what did I forget?" This whole thing had Paul completely puzzled. He loves Sabella, but why is he thinking of Monica like that. It didn't help that he was getting a call from Sabella. "Yeah, Sabella?"

"I got news for you. I know where the D-EL8 virus is!" Sabella said. Paul couldn't believe it. She actually has it.

"Where is it? How did you find it?" Paul questioned.

"My brother alerted me earlier. He told me that the virus is being moved." Sabella said. "This might be your chance to ensure the virus is safe. Someone is going after it. Of course, my brother doesn't want you or the others interfering."

"Wait a minute. If he sees us, he'll know you told us. I don't want you to get in trouble with him." Paul claimed.

"Don't worry about me. Besides, I may have told him that you're usually out in the city, always looking for trouble to start." Sabella said. "Right now, you need to focus on making sure the virus is transported safely. Head for Hell's Kitchen."

"Fitting such a dangerous virus is in a place named that. Thanks, Sabella. I'll alert Blite and Venom and let them know what's going on." Paul said. This is their chance, but also Librium's chance. That virus must be secured at all times.

...

Hell's Kitchen

Thanks to Sabella, they finally have a location, Paul and his friends hurried over to where it was. When they got there, they saw Sable International guards standing in front of the building. Paul, Lindsay, and Thomas land down on a building.

"Do you think that's it?" Thomas joked.

"What are they waiting for?" Lindsay questioned.

"The virus must be inside. They must be waiting for the transport." Paul said. They didn't have to wait long for an armored car came and pulled up inside. "No sign of Librium." So far, no trouble. However, that didn't last very long. "Spoke to soon!" He said as his spider sense was alerting him of trouble.

"Look there!" Thomas said as he pointed down. They all looked and saw one of them with a metal briefcase walked out of the building. "That must have the virus in it."

"But where's the danger?" Lindsay questioned as she looked around. She soon spotted a Librium member with a rocket launcher on a different building. "There!" She said as she pointed to him. Also, just as one of the guards opened up the car, bullets started shooting out as Librium was the one in control of the armored car. They fired away with the man firing a rocket at them. It caused a severe explosion and damage was being dealt.

"This must have been Librium's plan, what they were waiting for! They were waiting for the virus to be moved!" Paul said as he finally saw it, but it was too late. "Let's move!" Paul and Thomas dived down while Lindsay hurried over to the one on the building. One member of Librium grabbed a hold of the case while both sides kept shooting each other.

"I got it! Let's move!" He said as he climbed back in the armored car and it drove off with a few other cars driving with it. Thomas and Paul dived down and tried to help the guards up, not that they wanted it.

"You okay?" Paul asked as he helped one up.

"Get off! We got this!" He claimed as they refused their help.

"Sure you do." Paul sarcastically said.

"Spider, they got the virus!" Thomas said.

"Blite, stay here and try to get things under control! Venom and I are going after the virus!" Paul said as he and Venom took off with Lindsay kicking one Librium member right in the head.

"Sure! Leave me to clean this place!" Lindsay complained. Paul and Thomas took to the air and swung after the car in hopes of getting the virus back.

"How did they know where the real location was, or that it was being moved?" Thomas questioned.

"Maybe Blite was right earlier. They could have someone on the inside, or it could be the work of whoever hacked Christoph in the first place!" Paul said. "Either way, we've got to stop them!" They kept swinging after the armored car as it tore through the city streets. Of course, Librium wasn't going to go down without a fight. A couple of them stuck out of the cars following and tried shooting machine guns at them.

"You think they learn guns don't really work on us!" Thomas said as they avoided the bullets. "I got the cars! Get back the virus!"

"I'm on it!" Paul claimed as he swung as hard as he could and made his way over the cars with him landing down on the armored one. As for Thomas, he landed down on one of the cars following and tried to fight off the Librium members. However, before Paul could do much of anything, the back of the car opened up and a few Librium members climbed out.

"Time to get off the ride, Spider-Man!" One claimed.

"Great. I was beginning to think this was too easy." Paul complained. The Librium members went at him and tried to fight him off. At the same time, Sable International was taking matters into their own hands. They had their own a vehicle that had weapons on it and they chased after them. "Yay! Sabastian is here!" Paul complained as he webbed on one of the goons and threw him off the vehicle.

"This is Sable International! Pull over at once!" Sabastain demanded over a speaker.

"They never stop just because you tell them!" Thomas said as he hit another Librium member and tried to get the car to pull over.

"Spider-Man! You and your friends are interfering! Stand down and leave at once!" Sabastian demanded.

"Can't do that!" Paul said as he kept fighting. Not like he was going to leave either way. Sabastian decided to take matters into his own hands. Not caring for the public safety, he turned on the weapons and just started attacking as he fire missiles at them. the missiles flew by and hit around the area, but there were bystanders around and they were all terrified, getting caught in the crossfire. The streets were becoming madness with innocent bystanders nearly getting caught in this mess. "Missiles?! Are you kidding me?!" He complained as he smashed the heads of two members together and webbed them down to the car. "Venom, take over! I'm going to try and stop Sabastian!" He called as he jumped back.

"You're leaving me in the line of fire?!" Thomas said. This whole thing was getting out of hand. Paul swung over and landed down next to Sabastian while he was driving.

"Sabastian, stop! You're going to kill someone!" Paul demanded.

"You and your friends were suppose to stay away! My men and I will handle this!" Sabastian claimed as he kept on attacking.

"This is a public street! Someone is going to get hurt!" Paul said as he tried to talk him down, but it wasn't working. Sabastian just kept attacking without caring about the damage he's doing. "I said stop!" He tried reaching for the controls, but Sabastian hit him back. He even pulled out one of his guns and tried shooting him, but Paul ducked away and avoided his attacks. The streets were chaos there, but Sabastian didn't care. He aimed right for the car and was planning to stop it there. "I said...STOP!" Paul shouted as he jumped back in and grabbed the steering and caused it to turn quickly. However, Sabastian still fired another missile. It greatly missed Librium, but it did hit near Thomas and caused some damage to the area. As the battle vehicle finally pulled over, Paul didn't like what he saw. "Venom!" Paul jumped off and hurried off to make sure his friend was okay.

"Damn..." Thomas groaned as he tried to pull himself together.

"Venom, are you okay?!" Paul said as he helped him up.

"I think so... Barely..." Thomas groaned. Paul looked around and saw the Librium members that were driving were dead, but the armored car was gone. As Paul tried to help his friend, Sabastian and his men marched right over.

"Where is the virus?" Sabastian questioned as he didn't seem pleased.

"Gone. Librium has it now." Paul said.

"Supposed superheroes!" Sabastian complained as he shoved Paul. "You think you protect the city, but all you did was make things worse!"

"Hey! I was trying to keep you from killing people, you rotten bastard!" Paul shouted. "Look at the damage you've done!" He shoved back, but Sabastian kicked him back and aimed his guns right at him.

"I should have just shoot you when I had the chance. Now, I'll correct that mistake!" Sabastian claimed.

"Hold it!" Thomas said as he got in the way. "The mission comes first for you, right? Instead of shouting and threating to kill us, we need to use the time to get the virus before Librium does something with it." Sabastian hated to admit it, but Thomas did have a point.

"My men and I will handle it. This is your last warning. Stay out of the way or I will kill you!" Sabastian threatened before he and his men walked out there. They could see now how ruthless Sabastian is and is really going to stop at nothing for his tasks.

"I can't believe that guy!" Paul claimed. "He didn't care one bit about the people in the way, and now these members of Librium are dead and can't tell us anything! He's a real cold-hearted bastard!"

"Easy. That's your girlfriend's brother." Thomas pointed out. "Sabella did warn us, but I guess we didn't see how bad it really was."

"All that matters now is that we got to get the virus back, otherwise we're looking at one hell of a pandemic." Paul claimed. New York could be in real danger now. A virus is threating to be released and Sable International will destroy everything, no care for anyone. The only ones who might be able to do anything are Paul and his friends, but how?

...

Paul

Paul had a look at the damage that was done around the city. The police had everything handled, but some people were still hurt from that. It was awful. This is what Paul was trying to avoid, but now it's all out there. If that virus gets out, it will be a whole lot worse. While Paul was taking a look at things, he was alerted from a call by Monica.

"Hey, Monica." Paul answered.

"Hey. I heard about what happened. I've heard of road rage, but things between Librium and Sable International took it to a whole other level." Paul said.

"I know. This is what I was afraid of. Librium has the virus now, so we need to do something before it's too late." Paul said. "However, I suspect you're already aware of all this. Is there something else?"

"It's...really just a favor, but it seems like you have enough to worry about." Monica said.

"I think I need something else to keep my mind off things." Paul said. "If Librium wanted to release the virus, they would have done it by now. The virus can be airborne. They must have something planned for it, so all we can do is wait until we get something. What's this favor you need?"

"Can you go down to Central Park when you have the chance and dig something out?" Monica said like it was a little difficult for her.

"Dig what out?" Paul questioned.

"That's the weird thing... I don't really know." Monica said. That did sound weird. What was Paul suppose to dig out?

...

Central Park

Later that night, Paul had a look around Central Park. Monica told him where to go and he searched around for it. He even had a metal detector with him and was searching. He didn't know why or what he was even looking for, but this was what Monica needed.

"I can't believe I'm doing this. I don't even know if what I'm looking for is made out of metal." Paul complained, but he put it all aside and just looked around for whatever it was he was suppose to find. He was at it for some time and was about to call it a night. "This is stupid. I don't even know what I'm..." He was ready to just give up, but the metal detector was picking up something. Thinking it could be it, Paul started digging around in the ground. He kept on digging until he could see something in the ground and was able to pull it out for it to be a box. "What is this?" He opened it up and dug around to see what it was. Inside were a bunch of photos, photos of him and Monica, and more. They looked like they were from times they were together, but he doesn't remember any of it. "What is all this? Me and Monica?" Paul didn't understand anything until one photo caught his eye. It was one where it looked like they were married, him in a fancy suit and her in a beautiful white dress.

"Paul!" Suddenly, a sharp amount of pain, voices in his head, pounded and echoes in Paul's mind. Images flashed around of him and Monica from when they were together. They broke up, but they were together again. They got married. Monica was pregnant, but ended up loosing the child. Even from when dimensions were collapsing and how reality was rewritten in exchange they had to give up their marriage. It was like a massive explosion happened in Paul's head with the truth of his life coming back to him.

"I remember..." Paul said. Paul's true memories have returned to him, his memories of how his life was before Mephros changed everything. That included how he and Monica were together, and how in love they were. Now that his memories have returned, Paul faces another problem. He loves Sabella, but his love for Monica is returning. Now he has to choose between them. A choice must be made.
