It has been 10 days since Inuyasha and Kagome had spoken with the professor who could answer their questions.

They were not able to spend much time together during that time because the hanyo had been asked to work extra shifts, two members of the staff being sick.

Today was his first day off in 2 weeks, so the couple planned to spend the weekend together. Kagome was at his place and they were preparing dinner, stealing kisses and touches whenever they were near each other.

"I really missed you." Inuyasha said after giving her a searing kiss.

They sat in the living room to eat while watching an episode of the show they were following.

Kagome did not really pay attention to the TV. She was a bit nervous because she had thought a lot about the possibility that she might be Inuyasha's mate and she wanted to discuss it with him.

When the show ended, the hanyo noticed that she was fidgeting with her hair and biting her lower lip, a habit she had when she was stressed or preoccupied.

"Is something wrong?" he asked.

Kagome sighed. "Not really... It's just... I've been thinking a lot about the discussion we had with the researcher..."

"I also thought a lot about it. And I really think that... you're my mate. It would explain a lot of things." said Inuyasha softly.

"I think so too. We're both drawn to each other since day one, and whenever we want to be slightly intimate, your yokai side reacts a lot."

"Yeah... and you smell so damn good to me. Especially when... you're aroused."

Kagome blushed. "Yeah... It's hard not to be when I'm around a sexy man like you."

Inuyasha smirked. "I knew you were there for my good looks." he joked. "But seriously, it's been harder and harder to keep my yokai side under control... Just kissing you earlier, I felt my youki rising. It just wants to unleash..."

"Yeah I noticed. You become tense when it happens." she answered softly.

Kagome caressed his face, looking into his golden eyes. He leaned into her touch and put his hand over hers.

"I thought about it and... I really want to be with you... I trust you, all of you." she said.

His eyes widened. "You... are you sure about that?"

"Yes... The more I think about it, the more it feels right, you know?"

He lowered his gaze. "I really don't want to hurt you... What if I lose control?"

"I know you won't." she answered softly.

"How can you be so sure? I'd be devastated if my yokai side did anything... bad."

She leaned towards him and put her forehead against his. "I can feel it."

Inuyasha closed his eyes and released a shaky breath. "And what about the fact that Inu yokais mate for life...?"

Kagome kissed him softly. "If that's what's meant to be... If I'm really destined to be your mate... I don't see a problem here."

"Kagome... You're really sure...? And what if after a few months or a few years, you're sick of me?"

"Look... I really want to be with you... I believe in soulmates and I... I've fallen in love with you. Hard."

Inuyasha captured her lips with his and kissed her fervently. He held her tight against him, surrounded by her warmth. She put her arms around his neck and angled her head to deepen the kiss.

A low growl rose from his chest. He was still scared of hurting her, but he felt that right now, he would be unable to stop even if he'd wanted to.

Kagome broke the kiss and got to his neck, kissing him, tasting his smooth skin.

Before she could realise what happened, he was standing up, holding her in his arms. She put her legs around his hips for more support, without stopping her ministrations on his neck. He moved towards what she guessed was the bedroom, but before, he pressed her back against the wall, pinning her body with his.

She could feel how much he desired her and it was driving her crazy. In a swift move, it was his turn to give open mouthed kiss to her neck, clavicles and cleavage. He wanted to taste her. All of her. The more his mouth was sliding against her skin, the more he smelled her arousal. And it smelled like fucking heaven.

Inuyasha helped her to get rid of her tank top and bra and started his own exploration. The skin on skin contact was electrifying.

Supporting his weight on one hand, he caressed her stomach, her ribs and then cupped her left breast. She let out a low moan that he swallowed in a heated kiss. He massaged each breast with his free hand, giving special attention to her nipples. She gasped and arched her back under his sweet torture.

He brought his attention back on her neck, grazing the soft skin with his fangs, which drew sighs from Kagome. He kissed and licked his way to her breasts, before kissing them open mouthed.

He slid his hands up along her legs and her hips. He tugged at the waistband of her pants, looking at her.

She nodded in agreement. She lifted her hips slightly to let him take off the clothing.

Inuyasha stopped moving, breathing heavily. With her pants off, her scent was way stronger and he had a hard time keeping his mind clear.

Seeing him struggling, Kagome sat up and kissed him softly while caressing his bare back. She then pulled him towards her as she let herself fall back on the mattress.

She peppered his face with sweet kisses while she massaged his ears with her hands, giving him time to calm down. It was the first time she touched his ears and she was amazed by how soft they were.

After a few minutes, he looked her in the eyes and smile, revealing elongated fangs. She noticed faint purple markings on his cheeks and traced them with her fingers. The white part of his eyes were now tinted with red. But Kagome wasn't scared. She trusted him.

With renewed confidence, Inuyasha rolled on his back, bringing Kagome in the motion so she was now laying on top of him. He kissed her passionately, massaging her butt with his hands.

Parting her legs so they rested on each side of his body, she rolled her hips, causing a delightful friction. Sitting up, she undid his jeans button and zipper, then moved a bit to let him kick off his pants. Kagome settled back in her previous position and rolled her hips again, making both of them gasp. He got up and Kagome smiled, still in a daze from what just happened. She couldn't help but glance at his back and butt, sighing. How can someone be so damn hot? she thought.

Inuyasha came back with a clean wet cloth and delicately wiped her wound. He noticed that it was already almost closed up, leaving only four pale dots where his fangs had pierced through her skin.

He caressed the mark lovingly with his thumb, thinking about the meaning of it. She was his. And for the first time in his life, he felt complete.

Slipping under the blankets, they cuddled, still naked, content in the warmth of the afterglow. Kagome ran her fingers lovingly through the hanyo's silvery white hair. Her eyes were shining and her smile was soft.

Inuyasha kissed her slowly, pouring all his feelings in his actions. She sighed and reciprocated. He softly slid his hands all over her body, goosebumps forming under his fingertips.

Seeing that her eyes were closing, he held her in his arms, her head resting on his chest. It didn't take long for her to fall asleep, lulled by the sound of her lover's beating heart.
