Castle Loft

Alexis was getting dinner ready for her family, she was getting very excited. About seeing her dad, her sister, younger brothers. Plus her stepmom Jessica. She had a really good relationship with her stepmom. She had grown close to her, after what Kate did to her dad. Not just her, but she very disappointed with the whole team and Montgomery. They had all hurt her dad, she remembered the day that Kate showed up at the door. Asking her to see if her dad was there. But she told her, why should she care, she basically told him, that she wanted nothing to do with him. Kate was trying to, get her to see her point of view.
The door opened up, the young twin boys came running into the loft. Alexis got down on her knees, she holds out her arms. Both of them, wrap their arms tight around her neck. Hugged both of them, kiss the side's of their head's. "Sissy, we missed you." They tell her. She had tears in her eyes. "I missed you, so much Tommy and Robbie." Her sister Carrie walked in next, she was looking around the loft. Head to believe what, had happened to her. Her parents were in the wrong, for hurting her. The way they did, how she had came out normal again. But she was, very happy that her new sister made it out alive.
"It's my favorite older sister. Hello Alexis?! Did you miss us?" She was running, up to her giving her a really big hug.
Alexis had always wanted more siblings; but her dad couldn't find a good woman to marry. She thought that, Kate was the one. When she had stayed, with them for a few weeks. Everything look perfect, thinking they could all be a happy family. She had hope, that they could be a real family one day. Unfortunately, that dream was destroyed in a instant. Kate had decided to leave and not tell anyone good bye or thank you. She just does, what she always does runaway. She thought, that she was the reason Kate left. But then her dad; would always come back from the precinct. Not like his old self. That worried her a lot, he look like somebody had kicked his puppy.
Jessica and her dad had walked in the door, she was holding some stuff in her hands. She puts her brothers down, walks over to her step mom and her dad. She hugged him first; he kisses the side of her head. She gives her a big hug, she was very happy for her dad. He had actually, find a woman who was going to love him. She was worried at first, about her dad dating again. But Jessica was a real deal for her. She always made sure, that he took care of himself. She had always, put her dad happiness first, she thought that was a good sign. Her dad was getting better and two twin boys was born. She had never seen, her dad so happy in his whole life.
Back at Beckett Apartment

Kate was drinking some vodka and tequila, she couldn't help herself. Every since Castle had left her, she hadn't been the same, since he had left three years ago. She kept trying, get her head back in the game. Her temper had, gotten worst over time. Had taken her anger and frustration out on her team members and her friend. Captain was getting tried, of telling her to get her shit together. She was going to lose her spot as lead detective. She was holding, both side's of her head. She couldn't stop crying, she had made some terrible decisions and mistakes. There was no way, to take back all the pain and harm she had done. Demming had resigned; from the 12th precinct. That was all of her fault too.
She felt so lost, ever since Castle had left her, she wasn't her usual self anymore. Take another long slip of vodka, getting more lost in memories. Running a hard through her hair. It takes a lot, to drive a man away. She had deep feelings, for him. But she couldn't, get a hold of him to apologize. Should have gone by his loft earlier. Maybe, he would have stayed. But would, that really have changed a thing. Possibly would have, she knew that she, her boys, her captain and the whole precinct. They had driven him away, everyone thought that's, what she had wanted from day one. But now, she wasn't the only one with regrets. She was pretty, sure that Montgomery, was having regrets and guilt over what he had done to his friend.
Sure everyone was responsible, with their choices, but she had paid a big price for pulling a jealous high school girl. Who wasn't going, to get her way. Screwed things up, so bad that everyone, who had her back, was paying the price. They no longer got police donations, they lost a major manufacturer and a really good friend. Mayor was really mad, at the whole precinct. For how his friend was treated by everyone. Including her, when the real truth had came out. Everyone had felt guilty, Captain had tried calling Rick to apologize to him. But he wouldn't accept any phone calls or text of any kind. She had heard a rumor, that he was returning with a new book.
But no one, had anything idea, what the new book was about. The only clue, their was about his new book. It's very different from all of his other stories. She really wants to talk to him, apologize to him. But she was worried, that he wasn't going to talk to her. Really needed to talk to him. What do you say, to a man who was a partner and a really good friend. Walking into the bathroom, she looked at herself in the mirror. Her hair was a mess, sticking up everywhere. Her skin was pale, she look almost sick.
