After a quick walk down the Las Vegas Strip, Rey and Ben arrive outside one of the many wedding chapels in the city. This one flashes the name "Naboo Nuptials" in bright neon letters. Ben and Rey look at each other with giddy glee as they push open the doors to enter the chapel. They speak with the attendant in charge of the chapel and put their name on the list to wait for their turn. Ben pays for a veil and a small bouquet of flowers. Rey's eyes light up when he shows her the bouquet.
"Sunflowers! My favorite!" she exclaims with glee.
Ben chuckles, feeling his chest warm as he presses a kiss to Rey's temple. Rey melts into his arms and hugs him close.
"What are the odds they happened to have my favorite flower?" she asks as she rests her head against his chest.
"This is meant to be," he replies, running his fingers through her soft hair.
Rey rolls her head to look up at Ben. A loving smile spreads across her lips. Her heart skips a beat when he smiles back at her and leans down to kiss her deeply.
"The chapel's ready for you," the attendant calls out suddenly.
Ben kisses Rey once more before sliding his hand into her own. He squeezes her hand gently and looks deeply into her eyes. She squeezes back as she places her other hand on his chest. Her smile lights up her whole body and makes Ben smile and blush.
"Are you ready?" he asks softly.
"I've been ready since the day we met," she replies, leaning into his body to enjoy his warmth.
With a bright smile, Ben lifts Rey up into the air and spins her around gently. Then he sets her down and kisses her deeply. They turn towards the door to the chapel and walk in holding hands. They see a minister standing at the altar and walk towards her. She smiles at the couple and begins the ceremony.
"Welcome to you Ben and Rey. Tonight we celebrate your joining together in an unbreakable bond of love. Please face each other," the minister states.
Rey and Ben turn to face each other. Ben holds his hands out to Rey and she takes them without hesitation. She smiles as she feels his thumb stroke the back of her hands lovingly.
"Before we get to the vows, would you like to say a few words to each other?" the minister asks.
"Yes, I would like to," Rey replies.
"I would as well," Ben adds.
The minister nods and takes one step back, giving the couple a little privacy in their words. Rey and Ben look at each other, feeling their love for one another sparkle around them. She smiles and takes a small step closer to her Ben.
"I was alone for so long, trying to figure out who I am in this life. I had no home, no one to call my own. I didn't find my home until you came into my life. Ben, you are the love of my life and my love for you only continues to grow every day. I love you with all my heart," Rey proclaims.
She steps closer and presses a soft kiss to his cheek before he captures her lips with his own. They breathe in unison through the kiss. Ben opens his eyes to speak, blinking back some tears.
"Rey, I never knew I could be happy until I met you. I didn't think I deserved any happiness in my life. You make me feel safe and loved more than anyone else. You are the person I am meant to spend the rest of my life with. I love you more than the stars, the earth, the sky," he professes with a kiss.
A sniffle brings their attention back to the minister. She shakes her head and apologizes for tearing up. They watch as she clears her throat before speaking.
"I have worked here a very long time and have seen many weddings. But never have I heard such passionate, intimate words of truth spoken. Are you ready for your vows?" the minister says at last.
Rey and Ben nod. The minister asks them to repeat after her. Their eyes don't leave each other as they repeat words of love, promise, and forever to one another. Before the minister finishes telling Ben he can kiss his bride, he is already crashing his lips against Rey's. This moment is everything, exactly what they wanted. A quiet, intimate wedding for just the two of them. Completing their full bond to each other on their terms. When the newlyweds pull back to look at one another, they smile and chuckle softly knowing their lives have changed forever. They kiss again as the chapel organist plays in celebration.
