It was Monday and Kagome was sitting in the break room, eating her lunch.
During this morning's meeting with her team, she learned that they were starting a new study to determinate the number of yokais and hanyos living in the country, in what environment they lived, what kind of work they did and if they had family. I have a good starting point for this study. Kagome thought, smiling.
She was still lost in her thoughts when Kikyo sat at the table.
"Hi Kagome. You still seem out of it. Still didn't find a solution for the situation with your boyfriend?" she asked.
"Hm? What? No actually I found the information I needed like 2 weeks ago." she answered.
"What's bothering you then?"
"Oh nothing. I'm just thinking about our meeting this morning. And just to let you know, since you helped me, we actually fixed our problem this weekend." Kagome said, blushing.
"Oh I see. Good for you then."
After work, Kagome went to the Wolf's lair. It was still early so there was only a few customers, sitting at a table on the other side of the bar. She sat at her usual spot at the bar counter and took off her coat. She was wearing a dark blue top without sleeves and a comfy pair of jeans.
While she was waiting to see Inuyasha, who was probably unpacking the last delivery in the back, Koga noticed her and came to ask if she wanted anything to drink.
"Oh hi Koga. Yes I'd like a rhum and coke please."
"I'll be right back, Kagome."
He returned a few minutes later with her drink. He leaned on the bar counter and winked.
"I didn't see you much lately. How have you been?" he asked, smiling seductively.
"Oh I'm good, thanks. You were probably not here when I stopped by the last few times."
"Nah... It's taxes time, I've got a lot of paperwork to do, you know? I don't need an accountant since I have my diploma to be one, so I do everything myself." he bragged.
Kagome took a sip of her drink. "Really? I didn't know that. Why are you not working in that field then?"
"I did for a while but it was too boring for me. I love challenges so I started my business and here I am!"
"That's great. It's a nice place."
"Yeah it is. Say, I heard some rumors. Are you and the mutt really dating?" Koga asked.
Kagome looked at him with a questioning look. "Well, yeah. And please don't call him like that."
"Aww that's a bummer. You're a beautiful and smart woman Kagome, you deserve the best." He leaned closer. "Careful, like I told you before, that pup might bite. He can have a hell of a temper. If you need someone more stable, you know where to find me." He grinned.
"Yeah you're right. He does bite." She winked at him.
Koga looked at her questioningly. Then he noticed the mark on Kagome's shoulder and frowned.
"No. He didn't..."
"Oh yes. I. Did." Inuyasha was leaning against a nearby wall, his arms crossed and a smug look on his face.
He joined Kagome in a few steps and caressed her bare shoulders with his hands.
"Admiring my love bite, Koga?" he said, grinning.
"Seriously. You made Kagome your mate." the yokai stated, bewildered.
"He didn't "make me" his mate. We were destined to be." Kagome rectified.
"Yeah so don't flirt with my mate." Inuyasha stated, a low growl in his voice.
"Oh. Territorial, aren't we, mutt?" the wolf yokai replied smugly.
"As a canine yourself, you should know you keep your hands off of someone's mate."
Both guys glared at each other, immobile. Their fangs were showing and Kagome could hear a rumble coming from them.
"Ok you two, stop it!" exclaimed the woman. "There's no need to fight, I'm Inuyasha's mate and nothing can change that. So Koga get over it. And you..."
She pointed at her boyfriend who suddenly felt nervous. "You don't need to be jealous! I'm not the kind to cheat on someone. I know how it feels like to be played."
She crossed her arms and looked down, feeling tears rising.
Inuyasha frowned, still glaring at his boss. Koga lifted his hands in front of him in a defensive posture and receded.
The hanyo crouched down to be at Kagome's hight. "I'm sorry. I trust you. I just couldn't stand how he looked at you..."
She lifted her gaze and Inuyasha hugged her. "I'm almost done with work. Wanna go eat somewhere?"
"Huh? I thought you were on the evening shift today." she said, surprised.
"Yeah but it changed." he answered. "So do we eat dinner together?"
"I'm tired today... Takeout at your place?" she suggested.
"That's even better."
Inuyasha kissed her softly before going back to his tasks.
"Finally home." sighed Inuyasha, dropping on the couch.
Kagome chuckled. "It's the first time I see you this happy to sit down."
"Keh. I can feel tired too, you know."
"Of course but with the amount of stamina you have, I'm a bit surprised, that's all." she stated, sitting down beside him.
The hanyo looked at her, his face serious.
"It's the new moon tonight."
Kagome looked at him, puzzled.
"I'm a hanyo, remember? You know what happens to us once in a while."
His girlfriend frowned, than her eyebrows shot up in understanding.
"It's the period when you lose your yokai abilities!"
"Yep."
"So for you, it's on the nights of the new moon..." she said softly.
"Yeah and I fucking hate it. I'm so vulnerable and worthless on those nights. At least in this era, I don't have enemies who want to kill me."
Kagome moved so she was now kneeling on the couch, facing her boyfriend. She leaned in and kissed him slowly. The hanyo kissed her back, enveloping her with his arms.
When they broke the kiss, Kagome put her forehead against his, stroking his face.
"You're not worthless when you're human. It's just a different side of you."
Inuyasha closed his eyes, sighing.
"Still. I hate to feel so weak."
Kagome peppered his face with butterfly kisses, finally making him smile. He tightened his hold around her waist and gave her a taste of her own medicine, focussing on her neck and collar bones.
"Ok ok stop!" she shouted, laughing.
He gave her one of his crooked smile that she liked so much. "You'll have to beg for mercy."
He continued to tickle her with kisses and sniffs. She tried to wiggle out of his hold, to no avail.
"Mercy! Mercy please you magnificent creature!" she shrieked.
Inuyasha snorted. "Magnificent creature huh? First time I hear that one."
He finally freed her from his hold. She tried to tame her hair before settling against her boyfriend, his arm around her shoulders and her head against his chest.
"Can I stay with you tonight? I want to be there for you."
"Only a very few people have seen me in my human form... But with you it's alright. You'll have to bare with the fact that I will lose those dog ears you like so much." he joked, trying to hide his nervousness.
"Awww I think I can survive 10 hours without them. But seriously, I'm curious to see what you look like."
"Meh. I'm ordinary looking, really." he answered.
"Let me judge that myself. Anyway you'll always be handsome to me. Dog ears or not."
The hanyo chuckled. "All right. Let's eat before our dinner becomes completely cold."
A few hours later, Inuyasha was looking at his phone anxiously. The sun was to set in less than 10 minutes and he couldn't help but to feel uneasy when he was about to become human. He hated the sensation of his strength being drained from him.
Kagome made him lay his head on her lap and started massaging his ears and combing his hair with her fingers in a attempt to help him relax.
Suddenly, he closed his eyes and she felt a strange force escaping from him. His dog ears disappeared from between her fingers and his hair became as black as hers. When he opened his eyes, black orbs were looking at her instead of the usual gold ones.
"Woah..." she said, impressed by the phenomenon.
"Is that a good woah or a bad woah?" Inuyasha asked with a small smile.
She noticed that his fangs had disappeared as well as his claws.
"A good one. I was just taken aback by your transformation in itself. You're still very cute, you know." she answered, winking at him.
The hanyo blushed. Damn uncontrollable human emotions! he thought, feeling the warmth rising to his face.
"In fact..." Kagome continued. "I'm very curious to know if you're as good of a kisser without those fangs of yours."
Inuyasha rose from his position on her lapand sat in a way that he was facing her. Putting a hand under her chin, he lifted her face and kissed her slowly, savoring her taste. Kagome whimpered when he deepened the kiss and slid his hand in the hair at her nape.
Snaking her arms around his neck, she drew him towards her. Their kiss soon became heated and Kagome found herself laying on her side between the couch backrest and her boyfriend's body. She put one leg over his, in an attempt to get closer to him. She slid her hands under his shirt, caressing his skin, and traced the curve of his throat with her tongue.
Inuyasha suddenly felt overwhelmed. "K-Kagome... Stop please..."
She looked at her boyfriend, confused and worried. "Did I do something wrong?... If it's the case I'm so sorry!"
"No you didn't do anything wrong it's just... hum... I never had this kind of physical contacts while in this form. I... I know I initiated it but it's overwhelming..." he explained. "Why the hell are humans so sensitive!"
"If it's too much for you, don't worry. It's alright, you don't have to do anything you're not comfortable doing, ok?" she answered in a reassuring tone.
"No I want to... It's just, everything is going so fast and I don't have control on my emotions, at least not like I usually do. Can we... Can we take things slower tonight?..."
Kagome caressed his face, looking into his eyes. "Of course. I'll just follow your lead. And if you feel like just kissing or cuddling, it's ok."
"Thanks... I'm not sure how far I'm willing to go. Everything feels so different."
Inuyasha kissed her softly, both hands holding her face like it was the most precious thing. She sighed and put her arm around his waist.
They stayed like that for an hour, cuddling on the couch, kissing and talking.
"I'm starting to get cramps. The couch is a little too small for me." the hanyo said between two kisses.
Kagome chuckled. "Yeah me too. And you're so hot, I'm overheating right now."
Inuyasha smirked. "I know I'm hot but I didn't know I had this much effect on you."
His girlfriend gave him a light slap on the shoulder. "Don't be so smug, you know what I meant."
The hanyo laughed and got off the couch, followed by Kagome.
"Did you want to go back to your place since you work tomorrow morning or you wanted to stay?"
"I don't want to leave you..." she answered.
"You know, I almost always spent those nights alone. So don't feel obligated to stay for me."
"I want to stay."
They watched a movie before getting ready to go to bed. Inuyasha lent one of his t-shirts to Kagome so she could use it as a pyjama.
"Damn! Why are you so sexy wearing my shirt?" he asked, grabbing her hand to make her turn on herself.
She laughed. "I don't know. Why are YOU so sexy shirtless?"
They climbed under the blankets, Inuyasha spooning her. He parted her hair and kissed her nape, making her shiver.

He slid his hand under the shirt she was wearing and caressed her stomach, her ribs, her thighs.
"Hmmmm I like that." Kagome whispered.
The hanyo stoked her side and paused under her breast. "Can I?"
"Yes..."
He cupped her mound and rubbed her peak with his fingers, making her draw a breath.
He leaned on his elbow and took care of her other breast, while teasing a sweet spot in the crook of her neck with his tongue.
She whined when his hand travelled down and stroke her over her panties. She involuntarily rubbed her backside on his groin, making him hiss. She felt his desire but didn't want to rush things.
He kissed her mark, sliding his fingers under the fabric. She couldn't hold a sinful moan when he found her small bundle of nerves.
For once I don't have to be careful with my claws. he thought, teasing her with his fingers.
"I'd like to try something." Inuyasha told her. He helped her to take off her underwear and did the same with his boxers. He positioned himself and slowly slid inside her.
He held his breath, overwhelmed by the sensations. He was definitely more sensitive while human.
After a few minutes, the hanyo put his arm around her waist and started to moved his hips lazily. It didn't take long for him to be on the edge and Kagome was feeling him tremble against her back.
"Fuck I can't hold much longer." he hissed.
"It's ok, you can let go."
Even if he wanted too, he wouldn't have been able to resist the waves of pleasure crashing on him as he resumed his movements. He cried out when the dam broke, momentarily blinded by the intensity of his pleasure.
Kagome, hearing him come undone, felt her own bliss taking possession of her senses. They were left both panting.
Inuyasha was holding her tightly, her back pressed against his chest and stomach. He kissed her neck lightly before letting her enough space to turn over.
She was now facing him, smiling.
"That was... damn I don't think I ever came so hard..." the hanyo said breathlessly.
Kagome chuckled. "See, there's also good sides of being an oversensitive human."

She kissed him lovingly, caressing his back. She looked him in the eyes and softly traced the outline of his human ear.
"I love you Inuyasha... All sides of you."
