Bella
Just then Bella's phone rang. Bella answered, "Edward I told you not to call me." Bella looked around and said, shh, and put the call on speaker phone. "You know you are not really going to tell the wolves about me feeding off of you. They would kill me and you don't want me to die."
"Ah, Edward, I didn't have to tell them, you just did it for me." Sam and Jacob stood and put a hand out for my phone. I handed it to Sam. He was more cool-headed and he was the current alpha.
"Listen, mind reader. You fed off of human blood in Forks, in violation of the treaty. If we see you and yours again we will kill. The treaty is void. I suggest you do not return here.
"You couldn't beat me or my family." Edward sneered. "She tasted delicious."
The phone was passed back to me. I thought about what I wanted to say. "I was having trouble figuring out how I was going to manage hanging out with the pack and not tell them. Thank you for making the situation easy for me. Goodbye. I hung up.
"Now that I can speak freely would you like the story of the inquisitive girl who figured out she was dating a vampire?"
Sam opened the book to a fresh page. I started with my first sight of them went through my birthday, and on to being abandoned in the woods and found by Sam. I talked about being trapped in catatonia. I even explained my cliff diving, hiking, motorcycle riding, and general adrenaline junkie behaviors that led to me finding Edward's meadow where I met the wolves as they took down Laurent.
I explained how the cliff dive led to Italy, where I confronted the three kings. I told them about all of it. Then I told them about coming home and finding out Edward was feeding on me, how it was discovered, and everything that had happened since.
I am happy to finish this at a later date for you. All my dad knows is that Edward and I broke up. He's quite happy about it. However, with so many of the pack, I want to ask a favor, not a favor for me, but a favor for Charlie. If I leave here with Jasper, Charlie won't be protected by Peter, Char, and Jasper anymore. Have a few trained wolves guard Charlie. He can't know that I will become a vampire, if I reveal that and it is found out, Charlie's choices, if they give him one would be death or the change. I don't want him to have to make that choice. I am destined for this world but he isn't. He's destined for weekends of fishing and weeks of watching sports on the flat screen. I'm asking you to take responsibility for guarding my father in my absence. Sam, will you take this responsibility for me?"
"As alpha of this pack, I swear to guard Charlie and include him in our guard patterns while you are gone. I will do everything I can to protect him."
"You should know that Victoria the redhead, she's after me. But I bet she'd take my father to hurt me." Bella said.
Jasper, Char, and Peter, do you have anyone you could send to Jacksonville Florida to keep watch on my mom in case Edward or Victoria go for her?
"I'll make some calls," Peter said.
"Garrett Maybe?" Char asked peter.
"Damon?" Char asked.
"For a babysitting job? Peter asked.
If he knows it's for the Major he'll do it.
"I'll make that call," Jasper said and walked out of my hearing distance. He was almost at my truck.
I watched him as he talked. He paced a little and hung up the phone. He walked back over to me and took my hand. "He will be in place in six hours. It's a difficult place to watch and depending on how long we keep him there I'm going to owe a hell of a favor someday."
"Thank you, Jasper."
He kissed my forehead and said, "Anything for you."
"Now that everyone is here would you like to sign the treaty, Sam?"
Yes, that is acceptable. Jasper pulled the papers from his back pocket and took them to the table. He read the agreement one more time and Signed his name at the bottom.
Peter read the agreement again and Signed his name below Jasper's.
Char read the agreement slowly and signed her name Below Peter's.
"Bella, this will pertain to you any time now. Do you feel comfortable signing it now?" Sam asked.
I went over to the table and read the agreement. Then Reread it. "Do you want me to have an escort when I come past the treaty line now?"
"No Bella, only after you are a vampire."
I signed my name Below Char's. Then I smiled. "My first act as part of the Whitlock coven. I'm proud to be with you. Jasper, Peter, and Char all circled me in a group hug.
"Do you need anything Bella?" Food, drink, anything before we go spar? I want you to come with us and watch." Jasper said.
"I'll go snag a couple of water bottles from Emily's refrigerator."
"Could I trouble you for use of a blanket or towel to sit on while I watch everyone, Sam?"
Sam grabbed a waterproof blanket for me and I picked up my bag.
I checked my jean pocket to make sure my ID and credit cards were in my pocket. I had everything.
Scooped up in Jasper's arms he carried me as you carry a woman across the threshold.
The wolves cheered. And changed one at a time. "Seth," Sam ordered, "Go join Billy at the fishing spot. We'll catch you up when we see you again. The rest of you go to the positions we discussed this morning."
Jarrod, Paul, Jacob, Quil, Embry, and Leah came.
Leah, are you a wolf?" I asked.
Leah laughed, "Yeah Bella. I'm a wolf."
"Oh," was all I could think to say.
We ran to the treaty line, me safe in Jasper's arms.
The wolves stayed in human form but were just a little slower than the vampires. Jasper, Peter and Char adjust their gait so the wolves could keep up. Soon we were at a little clearing. Jasper sat me down on my feet and said, "I don't know what all we're going to get to today but I won't be in any danger. I need you to trust what I tell you and stay on your blanket. Do not try to interfere. I can't have you hurting yourself. We no longer have Carlisle to fix your injuries. I'd have to take you to the hospital. You know how hospital visits go."
"I understand. I trust you."
The wolves identifying a sparring circle by the simplicity of making a circle around the vampires. I spread my blanket on the other side of the circle. Taking off my bag I decided that I'd go through it and see what Peter declared important enough to carry around all the time. First I opened the envelope that held my ID packet. It was packed in the front pocket. "Elisabeth Dalton" was the name on the ID. I had a driver's license, Credit card, social security card. passport, and a small stack of folded papers. I had a birth certificate. High school diploma, and proof of some classes taken at a community college in Wyoming. If I ever had to run maybe I could go there, no that wouldn't be safe. The last page was a resume. Complete with references. Jasper had gone above and beyond for me. The thought of using them made me want to cry but the thought of how thorough he'd been made me want to kiss him.
I put the ID in their necessary slots but I kept the emergency number in my pocket. I'd have to memorize that number today. That little slip of paper would be awfully easy to lose. That was possibly the most important part of the plan.
Once everything was put where it would belong I opened the flap of the book bag and dug in. There was a brush, a hair dryer, hair dye, some glasses, and a skirt set. It looks like the skirt is black and the top is patterned. Matching flats. He's given me a complete kit, minus a haircut on how to change myself into someone else. I put everything back in the case, making sure that the top and skirt were folded well. I also got out the lotions, shampoos, conditioners, and the makeup that is included.
The lotions, shampoos, and conditioners are a vanilla and musk scent. I liked it. If I had to do other than what I'm doing I might have picked this particular scent for myself. I looked at the makeup. He got me a full set that has eye shadow, liner, mascara, blush, and lipstick. For two separate looks. I put everything back in carefully. Peter had chosen well. Finally, I looked at the emergency cellular phone. He had gotten a good brand. It must have cost him quite a bit. I wouldn't activate it till I needed it.
"Jasper," I shouted. Interrupting their training session. Instantly Jasper was in front of me. "If you need to teach me anything you can do it now. Alice's visions are blocked whenever the pack is around. We can plan, decide where I should go if I have to, anything we need while Jake and Sam are around and Alice can't see it. We can set my final destination or anything we want and as long as the wolves were close she can't see. However, Edward can hear. If they hear what we discuss and what my new name is Edward would know. Never mind. For a moment there I thought we could plan in case we get separated. Never mind me I don't think it'll work.
It's a smart thought darlin', it'll just take some work to manipulate the idea into something it will be successful. I'm gonna go back to training the wolves now. Don't worry. I am in no danger.

I moved like liquid lightning dealing with those wolves. I took on Jacob, Sam, and Jarrod.
I announced it as I 'killed' each of them and he knew that the wolves were impressed. The fight lasted less than two minutes.
Embry, Paul, and Quil didn't last a minute and a half.
"Now all of you come at me and Peter and you'll see the real definition of a battle-hardened warrior."
Leah tried to move first and go straight for my neck, She 'died' quickly when I got my arms around her. Quil, Embry, and Jacob all moved for me at once while Sam Jarrod, and Paul all went for Peter. We stood back to back. Jacob got close to getting peter but I kicked him and made him yelp, calling Peter's attention to Jacob.
In three minutes they were all 'dead' again and panting.
"Three of you should be able to get me down. That is going to be the goal of our training the three of you should be able to take down a hardened warrior. If you can't you aren't ready to go after Victoria. She was the fighter of that group. Also, if you go up against the Cullens. It's Rose you need to worry about. She's the fighter there. Carlisle and Esme can't do much. Emmett fights like a newborn. Edward can read your mind so your movements need to be so smooth as to be instinctual. This is going to be a lot of work and a lot of long hard training. I'd like Seth to join his sister next time for training if that's acceptable. He can move fast and Leah's even faster but you all need skills."
"Do you want to keep going or all you all wiped out? One bark for keep going, two for giving in,"
Each wolf barked once.
"Why don't you all change back into your shorts and we'll have a little talk about newborns. I'm having you change because I want you to be able to ask me questions."
They all barked once and with the exception of Leah, they all changed.
"Ah, guys I didn't want to see that, get your shorts on."
Leah went into the trees to change and came back out when she was dressed.
I went over and sat down beside Bella. She reached immediately for my hand.
"Newborn Vampires are vampires that are straight from the transformation all the way to the year mark. During this time new vampires are dealing with becoming accustomed to their new strength, senses, and brain. It is a wild time for a vampire because they are always thirsty. Newborn vampires can go from ready to fight, to happy, to ready to fight again in about three seconds. They are unpredictable to raise and you need to know a lot about vampires to be able to raise a new one. You need to know even more to be able to train it to be productive during the newborn year. It's not an easy thing to do, to change a vampire and raise them to be productive members of society. It is against our laws to make armies of newborns because it puts you at greater risk of exposure. Still, there are some that do it. There are others that break the law by not taking responsibility for their creation and letting them run around on its own. For whatever reason, you might run into it and I want to make sure you know how to handle it."
"How do you train a newborn?" Jacob asked.
"You wouldn't be able to most likely, because our bite is poison to you. Newborn venom is even more intense. More fast working. More painful. I will train Bella by keeping her surrounded by people she trusts in as calm an environment as possible. I will teach her slowly how to fight while I also teach her about the laws, and everything else. We call new vampires newborns because they very much are. They need touch and speech like babies. They have to relearn everything from dressing themselves to who they are sometimes. I do know someone who woke up with no memory of her human life. For the most part, we remember little things when we wake up. I intend to get Bella a journal so she can remember what she's forgotten. I will read it to her while she's changing so she's more likely to retain her memories. Most newborns don't have someone there for them while they burn. I was dropped with two other changing people in a shed. No one checked on us until the screaming coming from the shed stopped then we were fed by pushing humans in with us before we even knew what we were. That's how Peter, Char, and I were changed. We were starved till we fought then the ones who survived would glut themselves on blood. Now I see that it was all built to manipulate people, then I just thought that was how it was."
"What if a newborn bites an adult vampire?" Sam asked.
I just pulled my shirt off over my head and so did Peter. "It stings like a bitch. But you get used to it. Most of these were while I was with Maria. They're almost all bites from newborns either trying to fight and kill me or stop me from killing them. Almost every one of them died." And Jasper looked at Peter. Peter grinned.
"Now never come at a newborn head-on. They are stronger than you, likely faster than you, they will get their arms around you and you will lose. Come from the side or the back. Use feints or any cheap tricks you have, take them apart one extremity at a time. Go for an arm or even a hand and keep moving. Don't stop. Keep moving."
"Don't turn your back on your enemy." Make sure you are aware of your surroundings. Don't let them get behind you. They'll crush you in an instant.
"Try to work at least in groups of two or three. This way you can surprise the newborn from the left while another wolf is on the right. When you take the head throw it away from the body until it is time to burn. Make sure you burn the entire body. You already know that part. Dispose of the ashes. If you remember the body isn't dead till it is ash. Watch it till the fires burn down.
I would recommend that you get rid of any ashes and don't collect them as proof or anything. Just having the ashes of a vampire might be enough to cause more phasing in your village.
"Pardon me, could you repeat that," Jacob said.
"Just having vampire ash in your village may be enough to cause your young men to change. If you ever need the pack call me and the Whitlocks will come back and spend time with any new wolf wanting to change. I think you have more than enough wolves right now."
"Do you understand in theory how newborn Vampires work? I think from what I've seen that your current methods, the tips I've given, should work well on newborns. Now, Sam and Jacob, I'm going to imitate how untrained or barely trained newborns act I want the two of you to stop me. A mouth on a hand or neck is sufficient to say you got it."
"Embry and Quil you're with Charlotte. Paul and Jarrod, you've got Peter. We'll try this once and see how it goes."
"Remember gang newborn maneuvers only. Nothing fancy."
"Ready and Go,"
The wolves kept trying to get to the side of me but I kept turning. Finally, they started to get it. One would get my attention while the other crept to the side. Then they'd switch up back and forth. Neither of them could get my head. I could have flat-out jumped on them and torn their head off but I wanted to give them some time to get their act together.
We went at it time and time again until the wolves were laying down between attempts. "That's enough for the day," I called and they crept off into the trees to phase this time, I suppose so Bella didn't yell at them again.
All the guys came back out looking beat down. Leah looked charged up.
"You'll mostly all be in school tomorrow, so do you want to meet at eleven thirty in the woods behind Bella's house?"
"Yeah, I'll send four over. We'll rotate which four come. We've got to keep watch on Charlie and the reservation if the Cullens and the red-headed bitch are out."
"If you want my help with the redhead we'll need to find a way to communicate. Bella will text you my number. You're free to give it to all your wolves. If they find a trail and want help call and I'll meet up and help em. It might be wise to drill some with us cooperating just in case it becomes necessary."
"You aren't even winded?" Jacob asked panting
"We don't get tired, we may get thirsty but I don't think even a newborn would go after you for your blood. They might bite you because they're angry though so be careful. Our teeth are weapons and I'm gonna start using them next time. You guys practice when you can."
