This is just a general warning things will get dark and slightly violent this chapter

POV Izumi Sogeki

"Hey, how are you feeling after yesterday?" Melissa asked.

"After talking to Midnight, better," I said, holding onto her hand.

"Hey, how is it being taught by All Might?" a woman asked, shoving a microphone in my face.

"Is it true that there are two Quirkless students in the hero course?"

"How do you feel about two students being in the hero course without quirks while two people with quirks were denied?"

"What is it like going to a school and knowing that they are allowing those who are less than normal people to go to school with the elite?" a woman with blue skin asked.

A bunch of reporters and cameramen were blocking the entrance to the building and kept asking questions.

"We're just support students, but there are some hero students," Melissa said, pointing at some random kids.

"HEY!" one of them yelled, going after the students.

The two of us ran into the gate and saw Mr. Aizawa and Present Mic were standing there.

"Good distraction, now get to class," Mr. Aizawa growled.

"Yes sir," I said.

The two of us went to the 1-A room and sat down.

"Hey, do you know how the school found out about us?" Melissa whispered.

"No, they couldn't make an announcement without asking us and Nezu would make sure to let us know," I said.

"Honestly I think someone let it spill about you two to their parents and they told the media," Tokage said, looking over at us.

"Three guesses who that was," I muttered, looking at Ilda, Yaoyorozu, and Todoroki.

"Don't worry about it, the media can't do anything to you here," Tokage said. "After seeing them try to tear down Aunt Nemuri and fail you'll be fine."

"Thanks for the vote of confidence," Melissa said.

"Alright, today you have to do something that will affect the rest of your careers," Mr. Aizawa said, walking in. "You need to choose a class representative and vice representative. I don't care how, just do it before the end of homeroom," he sighed, falling to the ground with a thud.

"I say we vote!" Ilda said.

"But everyone will vote for themselves," Tokage said.

"Exactly, so if someone does receive more than one vote it means others have put their trust in them," he said.

"Sounds good to me," Yaoyorozu said.

Everyone took out paper and pencil. I thought about who I would want before writing down Melissa's name. Kendo was chosen to count the names and tally them on the board, which led to my current situation.

"What?" I asked, standing in front of everyone with my name on the board next to seven tallies.

"Well, I guess more people trust us than we thought," Melissa said, standing next to me with three tallies next to her name.

"Sogeki is your representative and Shield is your Vice," Mr. Aizawa said, getting up.

"Sir, is it wise to have the two of them be our representative and vice?" Ilda asked.

"Agreed, they aren't with us during morning classes," Yaoyorozu added.

"Most of you voted for them and I see no issue with it, speaking of you two are free to head out to your support classes," he said. "I'll send an email in a bit with your duties."

We grabbed our stuff and went to the lab. I took out my batons and set them on my table.

"Working on something different today Green?" Hatsume asked.

"Yeah, and Green?" I asked.

"I have issues getting names down, give it some time," she said, dismissively.

"So, what needs to be done with them?" Melissa asked.

"Just finishing touches before they can be added to the costume," I said. "I'll probably finish up the sonic grenade later today."

"Neat," Hatsume said.

I pulled out the discharger for the batons and started to work on their amperage so it was below the lethal degree but could be increased by Tony if necessary. Once it was done I set it to the side and looked at the time and knew I could finish my sonic grenade. I took it out and started to work on some of the finalizations which was primarily just the activation and the length of the sound. By the time the bell rang I was putting both of them away for my costume.

I asked Hatsume what she wanted and got her and my own meal as well as Melissa's. I went and sat down with them when someone came over to use.

"Hey, mind if we join you, representative?" Tokage asked.

"Um, Hatsume do you mind? These are students in the hero course," I said.

"Sure, just don't touch my stuff," she said, moving her goggles to be closer to her.

"We won't do that," Jirou said, walking around her and sitting next to Melissa while Tokage sat next to me.

"So, who did you vote for?" Tokage asked, looking at me.

"Melissa, I'm still trying to figure out who all voted for me," I said.

"I did," Melissa said.

"Same," Jirou said.

"You were so good at leading us during the battle trials so why wouldn't I?" Tokage asked.

"I'm not-"

REEE! REEE! REEE!

An alarm interrupted my sentence causing both Jirou and Hatsume to cover their ears.

"You help them evacuate," I said, looking at Melissa and Tokage. I stood up and started to go off to the side when I saw something outside. "It's just the media from this morning?" I asked. "Tony, start watching all of the cameras and hook me up to the PA system," I said, taking my phone out.

"You're good to go," Tony said.

"Everyone!" I said, my voice changing as it went through the PA system to keep me anonymous. "It's just the media from this morning. Look outside and see for yourself. Now calm down and walk out in an orderly fashion and help those who you ran over in your panic. You're supposed to be UA students, not children who panic," I said.

I watched as everyone calmed down and started to help those who were trampled up.

"Tony, I want you to look through every video from today and tell Nezu the moment you see anything out of the ordinary or who you might think did something because this is not normal. I want this to be your primary mission right now," I said. This was not random.

"On it," he said, his form vanishing.

"Sogeki, are you good?" Tokage asked, running over to me.

"Yeah, Yumi just wanted to make sure I was good," I said, holding my phone up.

"Alright, Shield and I got Jirou and, I think you called her Hatsume, out through another exit than the one everyone was pushing through," she said.

"We should go too," I said.

"We're supposed to meet in our classes. Hatsume is in the lab and calmed down," Melissa said, walking over to us.

"Alright, let's get to the classroom," I said, walking towards 1-A.

"Where have you three been?" Ilda asked, glaring at us while we walked in.

"We were making sure one of our other classmates from the support course who has issues with loud noises got to their classroom and Tokage was helping us keep people from overwhelming us and trampling us," I said. "Anyways, it's not your concern since you aren't the class president," I added. "Now can you sit down so I can make sure everyone's here like my job as president requires me to do," I said, remembering the email Mr. Aizawa sent me this morning about my duties.

"I- fine," he said, forcing himself to turn and sit.

I looked around and saw that everyone was here except Bakugou and Toga who Mr. Aizawa said would be taken to a special place and that I would get a message from Ms. Tsutsumi when she was confirmed safe as well as Bakugou when he got out of the nurses office.

"Alright, everyone's here. Now you can talk amongst yourselves but make sure to stay in your seats so in case more information comes in and we need to move from the room or a teacher needs to come check on us we are already in our seats," I said, going to the back and sitting in mine.

"Nice going class rep," Tokage said.

"Thanks," I said.

"Alright, sorry about that," Mr. Aizawa said, walking in. "We decided that instead of Modern Hero Art we should let you all let loose some pent up energy from what just happened. So, go put on your PE uniforms and meet Arrowette at Gym Beta for quirkless sparring."

"Sir, why should we learn to fight without quirks?" Ilda asked. "Would us not using our quirks put us at a disadvantage?"

"Maybe, but sometimes you are in a place where if you use your quirk you put others at harm and you need to be able to fight. Take me, my quirk, erasure, just puts me on even ground with enemies and it doesn't work on mutant quirks but I still fight them and take them down. Quirks aren't the end all be all, I thought that with two of your strongest classmates being quirkless you would understand this, now go!" he said, activating his quirk and having his hair rise.

We all stood up and quickly made our way to the locker room. Once we all changed we made our way to the gym which was a giant padded room with a bunch of octagons for matches.

"Alright, the rules are simple, no quirks, if you have a mutation like a tail or your arms," Yumi said, looking at two of our classmates with said mutations. "You are free to use them, just don't rely on them. This is for you to learn to fight if you can't use your quirk without putting others at risk, something that everyone needs to learn before doing anything else. This is just the first of many quirkless practice days. We will also have weight lifting days where you don't use quirks but those will be later. If you want to spar with someone you can ask them and either use a ring or just go off to the side. If someone says no that's it and drop it unless they come to you. If I say a match is over it's over and if you don't listen to me I will use force to stop you," she said, tossing a small marble up before catching it and beaming it into the wall behind us. "You're free to go until the end of the day."

Melissa and I teamed up and went against each other for awhile before switching and I was against Tokage who kept making lewd and inappropriate comments but since I had grown more confident they weren't working as she intended as I joined in.

"Wow, with how fierce you are in a fight it's almost like you're trying to punch my clothes off me," she quipped.

"I mean, we already figured out that you're an exhibitsionist yesterday so would you really complain because personally I wouldn't," I quipped back.

"But what would your girlfriend think?"

"She'd probably look too," I said, throwing a punch at her and nailing her in the face, knocking her down. "Crap, are you alright?" I asked, kneeling down and checking on her.

"Help, I'm fading into darkness, too bad I never got to kiss a beautiful girl before I passed," she said in a dramatic voice.

"Ha ha," I said, smirking.

"In all seriousness, that hurt like a mother trucker," she said, rubbing her nose.

"Wanna go see Recovery Girl?" I asked.

"Nah, but I will take a break," she said.

"I'll join you. I need some water with how thirsty I am," I said, helping her up.

"Nice one," she said, smirking.

"Glad someone enjoys my messed up humor," I sighed.

After a couple of matches against most of the girls and a couple of the boys the day was over and I was walking home later than usual with Yumi.

"So, how did the media get in?" I asked.

"Someone used a quirk, can't tell you much more," she said.

"Well, I'll have Tony talk to Nezu and help with the investigation," I said.

We ate out before getting home and both of us went to bed immediately. In the morning we got up and around before she left early to get to UA. After a bit of time I left and met up with Mel a bit before getting to UA.

"So, are you excited for today?" Melissa asked.

"Eh, kinda, I just hope we don't have to deal with him," I sighed.

"Same, he keeps trying to contact me out of class and I'm tempted to see if I can't get it so he can't contact me," she sighed.

"Well, let's meet the other representatives of the hero course," I said, leading her to the rep room.

We walked in and there were two people already in there. One was a tall boy with brown hair over most of his body, the other was a girl with vines for hair.

"Greetings, you must be the other representatives," the boy said. "I am Jurota Shishida, the representative of 1-B," he said, bowing.

"I am Ibara Shiozaki, the vice to Shishida," the girl said, bowing.

"I'm Izumi Sogeki, the representative of 1-A," I said, bowing myself.

"I'm Melissa Shield, Izumi's vice," Mel said, bowing.

"Oh, I assume you two are close already then," Shishida said.

"Actually the two of us are dating," Melissa said.

"Well, this first meeting was just for us to meet so we should get going to our classes," Shishida explained.

"It was a pleasure to meet you," I said.

"You as well, may God's grace be with you," Shiozaki said.

"Um, yeah, nice to meet you too," Melissa said.

The two of us left and went to our room and when I went to my desk I noticed a note on it. I looked at it and smirked. I took my mechanic gloves out of my bag and grabbed it. I walked over to Yaoyorozu's desk while everyone looked at me.

"If you're going to try and poison me with a letter try to make it so it's not noticeable next time," I said, setting it on her desk as her eyes went wide and she backed away from the paper.

"How could you tell?" she asked.

"The scent, a little too sweet," I said, putting my gloves away and taking out a wipe and cleaning my desk.

"How did you know it was Yaoyorozu?" Tokage asked.

"Easy, she's the only one I know who can obtain the poison and the perfume she used to cover up the scent was too fancy for anyone else to use because of how expensive it is," I said. "Also, since she's the Yaoyorozu heiress she thinks she's higher than she really is and probably thinks that she is more worthy of being the rep and not me."

"You really thought hard about that," Melissa said.

"I mean, not really. My mind just calculated all of that without me really thinking about it," I admitted.

"Are you a genius or something?" Jirou asked.

"Well, I'ven't gotten tested yet. I guess I could be," I said.

"Alright everyone, we're going to be doing something special today," Mr. Aizawa said, walking in. "All of you get in your costumes and meet me outside. Sogeki, Shield, you two are staying with us for the whole day," he added, looking at us. "Now get going," he finished, hitting the button revealing our cases.

We all grabbed our cases and went to the locker rooms. Once we changed we went outside to find Mr. Aizawa, Yumi, and Ms. Tsutsumi next to a bus.

"Load up, we're going to an off campus location for rescue training," Yumi said, getting on the bus.

"Alright, I say we form an orderly line and-" Ilda started.

"You haven't been on a bus like this," I said. "Everyone just get on and don't fight," I said, going past him as he glared at me.

I went to the back and sat down with Melissa taking the seat next to me and Tokage and Jirou in front of us.

"So, do you think we're going where I think we are?" Tokage asked.

"We definitely are, my thing is why are they having so many teachers with us?" I asked.

"What do you mean?" Jirou asked.

"Well, we have Mr. Aizawa and Ms. Tsutsumi as well as Yumi and the teacher of where we are going, that's four, surely they didn't need both Yumi and Mr. Aizawa here," I said.

"All Might is also scheduled to meet you there," Tony said.

"I'm probably just worrying about nothing," I sighed.

"It's fine, you normally do that on anything you build," Melissa said.

"Alright, we're here," Mr. Aizawa said as the bus stopped moving.

We all unloaded and stood in front of a huge glass dome.

"Let's go in," Yumi said.

"Welcome to the Unforeseen Simulation Joint, or the USJ as I call it," Thirteen said.

"Thirteen the rescue hero! You're my favorite!" Uraraka gushed.

"Thank you, now before we start there's one thing I wanted to tell you, or two, or-"

"Several," Tokage and Yumi said at once.

"Yes, first off my quirk is Blackhole, I use it to suck up debris during emergencies, however my quirk could easily be used to kill, same could be said for many of your quirks and gear," they said, looking at Melissa and I. "I'm not telling you this to scare you but to make you realize you have to be able to control them. That is all I wanted to say."

"Alright then, now onto the plan," Mr. Aizawa said.

"Something's wrong, I'm connected to the USJ but it's not connected to the main campus!" Tony said.

"What's that?" Kaminari asked.

I looked in the middle and saw a bunch of people walking through a purple mist. Then a man with hands on his body and a large beaked thing that looked like a black hulk.

"Fake villains?" Kirishima asked.

"No," Mr. Aizawa said, putting his goggles on.

"Thirteen, Kaina, get the students out of here," Yumi said, grabbing her bow and an arrow.

"Be careful," I said, looking at her. "That big guy is dangerous, more dangerous than anything I've seen," I added.

"Don't worry, we're pros for a reason," Yumi said.

I watched as her and Mr. Aizawa jumped down into the thick of it.

"Alright, let's get going," Thirteen said, leading us to the exit where a purple mist was appearing.

"Greetings. We are the League of Villains. Forgive our audacity, but today, we've come here to U.A. High School, this bastion of heroism, to end the life of All Might, the Symbol of Peace," a voice said as the mist formed a roughly human shape. "He does not seem to be here, my job however does not change," he said, the mist spreading across us.

"Watch out!" I yelled, shoving Ilda and Yaoyorozu out of the mist as I felt myself start to fall.

I looked down and saw water. I grabbed my grappling hook and shot it at the ship before it started to pull me in. I landed on the ship and looked around.

"Sogeki?" Tokage asked, climbing over the edge of the ship.

"Hey, did you see anyone else?" I asked.

"Yeah, I saw Shield with us right before I landed in the water," she said.

"A little help!" Mel called out.

I ran over to see her holding onto the side barely. Tokage and I worked together to lift her up.

"Where are we?" Tokage asked.

"The flood zone, which works out for us," I said, pulling out my escrima sticks.

"You're joking right?" Melissa asked.

"Nope."

"Sticks?" Tokage asked.

"More than that," I said, sparking them up.

"I can contact the school through your lab!"

"Alright Tony, do it!" I said, not caring if Tokage heard.

"It's going to take some time for the message to get through. I know you don't want to use Tony's aesthetic but if you want to even hope to bring that thing down you'll need it," Tony said.

"Alright, do it."

"Alright, calling Veronica."

"Who are you talking to?" Tokage asked.

"Um, an AI that I own that is connected to UA's systems and is calling for help," I said. "After I shock all the guys in the water Melissa and I will swing over to the land, can you fly by separating yourself?" I asked.

"Yeah, wait, an AI?" Tokage asked.

"I'll explain later," I sighed. "Get ready."

I took some of the string I had and wrapped it around the stick and activated the electricity before dropping it into the water. After a moment I pulled it up and looked down to see a bunch of people floating to the top but still breathing. I took out my grappling hook and shot it at the ceiling with Melissa's and the two of us swung across the water to the land and landed next to Tokage.

"Oh my god," Tokage said, looking up.

I looked and felt sick to my stomach. Mr. Aizawa was beaten and bloodied on the ground with the hulking beast holding him down. I looked for Yumi and saw her bow snapped in half not too far from a pool of blood.

"I can distract that thing with my quirk until the teachers get here," Tokage said.

"No, that thing is their plan to kill All Might, don't act rash," I said.

"I can distract it and stop it from killing Mr. Aizawa as well as any of our classmates, heroes always have to make the decision that puts them at risk don't they?" she asked. "I just don't want to die until I do something," she added, shoving her mouth onto mine and started kissing me. "Now, I feel like I can die since I kissed a cute girl," she said, splitting her body and rushing down the hill and to the beast.

I watched frozen as the beast started swiping at her flying body parts. I then watched in horror as she quickly connected her head to her torso and the beast knocked her to the side and into the wall.

"NO!" I yelled as the sound of glass breaking filled the air.

"NOW!" Tony said. "I'll help control, you just focus on fighting, the teachers are on their way!"

I jumped down and while I was in the air I felt a large piece of metal wrap around me and I heard mechanical whirling as it covered my arms and legs and a piece went over my head.

"The Mark XLVIII is ready," a female voice said.

"This is the Hulkbuster, if it can take the Hulk down it'll take this thing down!" Tony said.

I ran up and could feel the weight and power in the suit as I approached the beast. I threw a punch at it and hit it, sending it back.

"What the fuck?" a voice called out. "Why is there a dumb Iron-Man copy-cat? Doesn't matter, Nomu was made to take down All Might, he's the Anti-Symbol of Peace."

"I will still take it down!" I yelled, still in a boxing match with the thing.

"This is strange, I'm trying to read what his quirk is or who it is, but I'm coming up with several people," Tony said as images of people went across the HUD. "Oh my, it has several quirks and is made of several people."

"Then it's not really a person?" I asked, blocking a blow that messed up the arm.

"Sending you a new arm," the female voice said.

"I'm getting no brain activity from it. It's like someone tried to play god only instead of creating something just combined a bunch of people and decided to call it done," Tony said disgusted.

"If it's not a person then I don't have to hold back as much," I said, charging with more ferocity than before.

I sent it flying towards the man with hands who barely jumped out of the way.

"Nomu, what are you doing? Destroy that thing now!" he yelled.

The beast charged at me but I knocked its legs out from under it and used the new arm the suit was given which was similar to a jack hammer but had a flat head and just started to pound its head in. After a couple of moments I stepped back and the creature stayed down.

"Nomu, get up!" the hand man yelled.

"It's unconscious, using too much energy trying to heal what you did," Tony said.

"Shigaraki, we should leave," the mist man said, appearing next to him. "The Nomu is defeated and the heroes have been informed of our arrival," he added, opening a portal.

"Fine, but this isn't over," he said, glaring at me as Tony charged an arc blast.

The two of them went through the portal and the armor fell to its knees before falling backwards and my vision went to darkness.

"IZUMI!" I heard two voices yell before I fell unconscious.

POV Melissa Shield

"IZUMI!" I yelled, charging at the armor.

"I'm opening it, she's alright just unconscious from exhaustion," Tony said in my ear.

"Izumi, there you are," I said, pulling her into a hug.

"I-is she alright?" a voice asked.

I turned ready to fight but calmed down after seeing it was Jirou.

"Y-yeah, just unconscious," I said, trying to not tear up.

"How did she use an Iron-Man armor?" Jirou asked.

"Honestly it's a long story and I can't tell you at the moment," I tried to explain.

"Hey, if you want to cry it's alright," she said, wrapping an arm around me.

With that the flood gates opened. I sat there for lord knows how long.

"Melissa, are you alright?" All Might asked. I looked up to see him walking towards us before looking at the creature that Izumi took down. "What happened?"

"We were attacked, and that thing," I said, looking at the creature. "Was made to kill you, but Izumi took it down and saved us," I added, looking at the girl I loved in my arms. "We were attacked and almost killed because you were supposed to teach this class, and you showed up late," I growled. "If it wasn't for Izumi I would be dead and it would be your fault. Th-then there's T-Tokage," I stuttered.

"What do you mean?" Jirou asked, concern filling her voice.

"She decided to try to distract it until you and the teachers got here so it didn't kill Mr. Aizawa but was swatted into a wall by it and her floating pieces fell. This is all your fault!" I screamed at him. "If it wasn't for you teaching us this would've never happened! You aren't helping us by being here, only hurting us!"

"Melissa, I don't know why you believe her or why you think I'm some sort of monster for only thinking of your safety and the dangers of this job, but don't blame all of this on me. I am the Symbol of Peace, there were issues in Mustafu that I needed to help with," he said.

"No more than before you were here and the heroes could handle it then and they can handle it now! You are what's wrong with hero society! Being a hero shouldn't be about placements or anything, it should be about saving those who are in need and stepping in if needed. You weren't needed out there today you were needed here but you weren't and people died, I almost died, Izumi almost died. Don't say that because you're the number one hero you need to be the one to save everyone, you don't! There are other heroes who can handle it, heck, the number two and number seven heroes both operate in Mustafu and they could handle daily villains just as much and easily as you can so next time don't be the glory hog and think about where you are truly needed and not just where you think you are needed," I yelled, glaring at him. "Now how about instead of standing there like a buffoon you go help my classmates, your students, who were scattered around here and probably like Izumi, Tokage, and I were attacked by villains!"

I watched as his face went from sadness, to anger, to confusion, to fear, back to anger.

"Melissa, I don't care what I have to do, I will make you see the truth," he said, turning around.

"Thank you for distracting him long enough for us to get our back up Nomu," the crackly voice of the hand man said.

I turned and looked in fear as a tall, thinner, female-looking Nomu stood next to him. It put its hand out and All Might was pulled towards it.

"A telekinesis quirk? It'll take more than that to take me down!" All Might yelled, punching it.

I watched in fear as the woman Nomu didn't move at all.

"It has more than just a couple of telekinesis quirks," hand man said.

"Jirou, take Izumi and get out of here," I said, pulling her out of the pilot cavity.

"You're joking right?" Jirou asked.

"I can't stand by if I can help," I said. "Please."

"Alright, let's go green," she said, lifting Izumi up and heading towards the entrance.

"Tony?" I asked, hopping in the cavity.

"I got you," he said, closing it and pulling up a hud. "I'm going to scan it and see if I can tell what all quirks it has," he said.

"I got you!" I said, jumping next to All Might and punching her with the jack hammer arm and sending her back a bit.

"Melissa? What are you doing? Get out of here, it's too dangerous," he said, going after her.

"Oh, oh no," Tony said.

"What?" I asked, charging after them.

"I'm guessing that the body they used as the base of this one was that of Inko Midoriya. I'm guessing she has telekinetic and psychic based quirks since that is what her body would be more adapted to," Tony said.

"Mid-oh," I said, realizing what he meant. "Doesn't matter, this isn't her. This is just a mindless creature," I said, punching her back while All Might punched her front.

The two of us kept punching the Nomu and I noticed the other two villains fighting some of the teachers. After what felt like forever we knocked her down one last time and she didn't get up.

"It's over, she's unconscious," Tony said.

All Might pulled his arm back and aimed it at her head.

"Stop!" I said, going between them. "She's unconscious, you don't have to kill her," I said.

"Melissa, this thing is too dangerous to be kept alive. This is the hard decision heroes have to make, if you can't make it then change your path," he said.

"She was Izumi's mother, are you really going to kill her mother?" I asked. "What am I saying? You already tried to kill her dream many times, why wouldn't you kill what remains of her mother?"

"How can you tell that?" he asked.

"Look at what I'm in, this is Tony Stark's Hulkbuster armor. I scanned its DNA and quirk factors and matched it to her files," I said.

"All Might, I think it's time you go. The ring leader ran away and the press will eat this up. I'd rather get ahead of it so go back to the main campus and start preparing a staff meeting," Nezu said, walking over to us.

"Yes sir," he said, straining his voice as he left.

"Miss Shield, I believe it is safe for you to get out and have Tony send it back to orbit," Nezu said, looking at me after All Might left.

The cavity opened and I leaped out. I watched as it folded up and shot out of the hole it came through with the extra part arsenal. I looked around and felt my vision darken.

Huh, I guess I used up too much energy too.
