Saturday was here, it was the day of their second reception. They were excited, ready to share their love with their extended friend and family group. There would be around 200 people there so while it would be fun it was also a bit overwhelming. The kids were excited to see all their Aunts and Uncles again and can't forget Grandpa Hank, who they would be staying with tonight so Kim and Adam could stay late and party long into the night. The room was booked till midnight so they had plenty of time to party with their friends.
The family spent the morning having breakfast and going to the park. It was a beautiful day outside and unseasonably warm so the kids were excited to be able to run around the park for awhile. They had a picnic lunch in that same park soaking up as much sun as they could. After lunch they headed home to allow the kids to have naps before getting ready for the night ahead. Kim and Adam spent the time while kids napped to pack overnight bags for the kids. They decided the kids would spend the night with Hank and Kim and Adam would return home after the reception.
When the kids woke up from their naps Kim bathed both the girls and Adam bathed Jackson. Once the kids were dried off Kim did Emma's hair for the night while Adam helped Jackson make his hair look just like Adams. It was adorable. The boys got dressed while Kim got Emma and Lily ready. Kim took the longest to get ready. Erin has popped over to helped with hair and makeup before heading out to the reception location to make sure it was all perfect. When Kim came down the stairs she heard gasps from Adam. "You look stunning darling!" He twirled her around to get the full look before they headed over to the reception location.
They had a private room set up for the family with some appetizers and drinks to keep them comfortable till all the guest had arrived. When they arrived they were ushered to the room to ensure no one saw them before it was time. The family took photos together while they snacked and relaxed on the comfortable couches. "Are you ready to head out there?" Adam asked as he got up and straightened his outfit. He wanted to look crisp and perfect. "Yeah I think I am. I've enjoyed our time together but it's time to burst the bubble. Let's go." Kim smoothed out her dress and double checked her look in the mirror before grabbing the kids hands to start the journey to the ballroom. Adam carried Lily till right outside the room where Kevin was waiting to take the kids inside to their seats.
They listened to the video of their wedding play for the group. They smiled wide as they heard their cue to enter. The doors opened wide for the couple walked into the room. The bats of Adams team mates hung above them as they crossed by. Once they passed the last two team mates the room erupted into cheers and wolf whistles. Kim and Adam moved right to the center of the dance floor for their first official dance. They had practiced several times to make sure it looked flawless. As they finished their first dance Adam dipped Kim for some added flare before bringing her back into his embrace and kissing her lips. They headed to their table for dinner which was delicious. They didn't skimp on the food that was for sure.
The dinner was not finished yet when they noticed Kevin heading to the microphone. "Good evening folks. For those who don't know I'm Kevin, I'm Adams best friend and business manager. I'm here tonight to say a few words about the happy couple. First don't they look so sweet together it makes your teeth hurt?" The crowd laughed and so did the couple. "Right? It's crazy how much they love each other but I couldn't be more happy that Adam found someone who not only accepts him as he is but also challenges him and helps him strive to be better. When they first met something in him changed right away but he didn't say a word about it. He was very tight lipped but the heaviness in his shoulders eased and there was a lightness about him I hadn't seen before. When I finally met Kim I got it right away, I could see the happiness between them right away. But the day that really stuck out for me was when Adam called me to ask about creating a room for his son Jackson. I knew right then and there that this was going to last. That they could and would make it through everything. And they have. So please join me in wishing the happy couple nothing but love and happiness for the rest of their lives. To Adam and Kim." The grouped cheered before Kevin walked back to the table to receive hugs from the couple.
Erin walked up next. "Good evening! For those who don't know me I'm Erin. The maid of honor and Kim's best friend. When we met years ago Kim was sweet and pie eyed. She believed the best in everyone, it was endearing especially to someone who was so jaded. We soon bonded over being the only women in a tight knit group of cops. The more we worked together the more I saw how tough and determined you were and are. The risks you took to prove yourself impressed me more than I can say. But what impressed me most was how amazing you were as a single mom. You never ceased to amaze me and the team with how strong you were. You raised an amazing little boy alone till Adam came along. The day we met him we all knew he was the one for you. We have never seen you smile so wide and we have never seen you so happy. It was like the missing puzzle piece had been found. And we couldn't be happier for the brother we gained in Adam. Adam, we want to thank you for making Kim this happy and for accepting Jackson with no questions asked and for taking in Emma as well. You truly are an amazing father and companion to Kim. We couldn't have asked for more. So let's raise a toast to the happy couple. We love you both and your whole family." Erin toasted as the crowd cheered.
As dinner was finished Kim took the microphone to make a toast of her own. "Good evening! I hope you all are enjoying the evening so far. I wanted to start be thanking you all for coming out to celebrate with Adam, myself and our three beautiful children. But I also wanted to take a moment to remember all the ones we have lost along the way. As a first responder I have seen more than my fair share of loss and as we honor those people I would to make a special shout out to a person who inspired me, who guided me and made me the cop I am today. For those who don't know who I'm referring to, it's my mentor, my partner and father figure Alvin Olinsky. In front of you all you will find a shot glass with AL's favorite Bordeaux. So please raise that glass to remember those we have lost. Al I hope I made you proud of me. Not only the cop I've become but also the mother I've become. I miss you everyday. Love ya O!" Kim finished and let the tears flow.
Adam was quick to be by her side to bring comfort to her in this sad moment. "Darling! I'm here for you. You know that. And you know he would be proud of you." Adam hugged her tight. When they pulled apart Kim noticed her whole team to offer their support. "Kim I know he's beyond proud of the cop you have become. And I know he's up there giving you shit for naming Jackson after him." Voight laughed as he hugged her. "Thank you for that!" Kim hugged her team before returning to her table for a drink. "I'm going to head to the restroom to clean up my make up. I will be back." Kim kissed Adam as she and Erin headed towards the bathroom.
"Are you Okay?" Erin asked as they entered the bathroom. "I think so. But I needed to say something to him today, you know? I wouldn't be here without him." Kim cried some more as Erin hugged her. "Hey I know he's proud of you because we all are. Now he wouldn't want this so let's get you cleaned up and back out there." Erin wiped Kim's face and helped to fix the make up. They headed back looking refreshed as they heard some great dance music on. They headed right to the dance floor dancing along the way. Adam saw the girls heading towards the dance floor and walked to meet them. "I think my wife owes me a dance." Adam whispered as he wrapped around her. "I think that can be arranged." Kim turned in his arms kissing him as they started to dance together.
During dance breaks they walked around to thank guests for coming and to just mingle with their friends and family. Some people they hadn't seen in a long time so they were able to catch up. Especially Kim's dance friends, some she hadn't seen since she danced ballet. Those girls spent most of the night on the dance floor which Kim joined it big time. "Should we cut the cake now?" Adam asked. "Hell ya!" Kim laughed as they started to walk towards to the amazing cake. They very sweetly cut the cake and fed each other small bites for the camera. They decided long ago that they wouldn't smash the cake since it could get on her dress and ruin the photos.
Dancing continued as the cake was served. Kim was getting thirsty again and slightly hungry so she sat to eat her piece of cake. Adam sat next to her after saying bye to the kids who had just left with Hank. "Are you having fun?" Adam asked as they had a moment to connect. "Yeah it's been a good time. How about you?" Kim asked before stealing a small kiss. "It's a good time for sure." Adam answered as they heard a new voice on the microphone. "Hey everyone. We as Kim's dance friends wanted to share some of Kim's finer moments with you all since we know most of you have never seen this side of her. So with out further ado here we go!" Becca walked off away as a video started to play.
They watched stop photos appear and disappear from the screen mixed with videos of Kim on stage at the Chicago Ballet. Adam pulled Kim onto his lap and held her tight as the video played. Kim tensed as she saw a video in a bar start. "Kim what's wrong?" Adam whispered. "Not my finest moment." Kim laughed just as the video showed her jumping on to the bar. "Come on bitches! I can't dance alone." Younger Kim yelled in the video as she and several friends started to dance on the bar top. The entire room erupted into laughs seeing Kim drunk and pretending like she was in Coyote Ugly. Adam was laughing so hard Kim turned around and smack his chest. "Really Adam?!" Kim scolded. "What it's funny and adorable!" Adam kissed the side of her head as they watched the video end.
"Well I guess this means more dancing then." Kim got up and headed back to the floor to dance with her girls. Adam walked over to her team to check in. "Guys having fun?" He asked. "Definitely and I think it's a good thing Voight wasn't here to see that video. He may have benched her." Dawson laughed. Never seeing his partner like that. "Well that was a first for me too. I never knew about that. But I enjoyed it that's for sure." They all laughed. "Well maybe she can recreate that for us tonight." Kenny laughed. "Yeah not happening. Drunk Kim is never happening again. She's worked too hard to get her and to stay sober. One of the many things I love about her." Adam watched Kim as she danced with her friends.
"Who knew Kim had moves like that." Adam heard the fire guys say. Mouse piped in quick. "We did. We used to go clubbing all the time. I remember we all went to this EDM club and the music was so loud and Kim danced so hard that she started having contractions. We rushed her to Med and after an hour it stopped. Apparently all the movement and vibrations caused it. We never went back after that. We still went clubbing just not that one." Mouse mused. "Well that's another story I never heard about Kim. We should hang out more. I love hearing this stories about her life before Jackson and before me." Adam laughed. They all agreed to hang more often and tell funny stories about Kim, even thought she would be annoyed about it.
Around 11 the guests started to file out, tired from the long night but Kim was still going strong. Most of the dancers were still there so they kept the dance music rocking. Lots of line dancing songs that only they knew how to dance to and some club music mixed in. It was a really good time for all. And those not dancing got a show. But the show was just beginning. Kim and the Chicago Bulls dancers took the floor dressed with Ruzek jerseys on for a special dance just for Adam. They had Adam come closer so he could get the full show as the music started, 'the way you make me feel' by Michael Jackson.
The girls danced while Adam watched them, enjoying the sight of his wife twerking and dancing around shaking her body. He couldn't believe she had the time to make this happen with everything else she had going on. It was a huge turn on as always watching her dance but this was a whole new level. He was glad the dance didn't involve him because he really couldn't dance well and because a lap dance would be uncomfortable in front of the large crowd still left. The high kicks, splits and other moves reminding him how flexible she was and showed them all a level of strength they didn't know she had. "Well not in a public place, not happening. Plus I'm glad you enjoyed your surprise." Kim winked as they got into the car to head home. "Enjoyed May be an understatement. But we can go with that." Adam drove fast to get home and bury himself inside her. As soon as they made it inside he pushed her up against the wall kissing her hard as he dropped his pants and lifted her dress to thrust inside her hard and without warning. "Oh god! Adam!" Kim moaned out as he thrusted hard and fast into her. He needed this bad, he was close to a climax before he entered her. He needed her to hurry up. Kim pushed his jacket off his shoulders before moving to his tie. As the tie fell to the floor Kim started to unbutton his shirt, tossing it to the floor. She worked his belt next throwing it across the room. The pants followed before she knelt down to remove his shoes, socks and pants. Leaving him in only his boxers. She knew how much he liked to unwrap his presents so she stayed still while he knelt down to remove her shoes first. He looked at the bottoms one more time, reminding himself it was real. He stood before her again and turned her so he could slowly lower the zipper. He kissed her spine as the zipper got lower, feeling her shiver at his touch. The dress fell to the floor in a heaping pile. Adam helped her to step out if the dress before looking up to see the outfit Kim was wearing under her dress. It was not the same one from their wedding night. But he loved it just the same.
"Well I guess you decided to change it up tonight again. I love it!" Adam kissed Kim softly. "Well I couldn't use the same one now could I?" Kim asked as she kissed him back. "I guess not. So let's finish unwrapping my present." Adam whispered as he kissed down her body. He slowly removed the sexy bra that had been hidden under her dress. Once it was on the floor Adam ran his hands down Kim's flanks slowly pushing down her underwear. Once bare he gasped as her pure beauty that never ceased to amaze him. He lifted her gently to lay her on their bed. Once she settled in the middle of the bed Adam removed his boxers before coming to lay over her.

"Hell ya let's go" Adam was quick to help her out if their bed and guided her to the bathroom. He turned the water on while Kim removed her make up.
Adam was wrapped around her while she worked to clean her face. Kim didn't mind she didn't want to be away from his body either. "The water is warm now." Adam whispered into her eyes, his eyes still focus in the mirror watching her. "Well let's get clean then." Kim whispered back. They headed into the shower under the warm water. As Kim washed her hair Adam was caressing her body, massaging her body but most importantly turning her on. Adam slowly ran his hand down to her hips, holding them tight while he thrusted inside her again. Kim leaned forward bracing her hands in the wall of the shower.

"Not really at some point we all had a conversation about friends with benefits relationships and how you should always bring three boxes of condoms and food for in between rounds. It became a joke with that core group. So no I don't discuss our sex life with them, not really at least." Kim explained as she ate some food.
"Well I did hear a funny story tonight about you. Apparently you went into labor in an EDM club. Apparently the dancing, vibrations and loud music was too much for your body." Adam laughed at Kim's reaction. "I only went to support Mouse! It was before he left for Afghanistan." Kim tried to explain but laughed as well since it was kind of funny. "Oh it's funny! I was just surprised. I had no idea. It was fun learning new stories about you." Adam spoke in between bites of his food. "Yeah I could have lived without the bar footage being shown though. It's the perfect example of why I shouldn't be allowed to drink. I'm lucky I didn't get hurt that night or worse fired." Kim explained as she watched Adams face change to shock at her words. "Is that possible? To be fired I mean?" He asked as he placed his food down and grabbed her hand. "Well I had a morality clause just like you do. So yes it would have been possible then." Kim shrugged not really bothered by it anymore. "That's probably around the time I knew I needed to leave. You saw how horrible I looked in that video. That wasn't my real body. It was too thin and bony. I'm happier like this." Kim stated knowing she was right.
"Well I didn't notice that in the video. All I saw was your face, smiling, laughing. I saw the moves but not the body issues. I kind of agree though, your body now is amazing. Obviously I can't keep my hands to myself and with how quick I get turned on by you has to tell you how amazing you look." Adam says touching her body. "I agree with you completely. This is much more natural. Change of topic. Who do we need to thank for the food?" Kim asked, done with the previous topic. "Um I don't know. I only saw the message in a group chat. I didn't open it to see who sent just saw there was food." Adam admitted laughing. "Lovely! Let me see my phone." Kim asked for Adam to hand it over.
"Well that makes sense. Jay and Erin left the food. They are big on eating between rounds to keep up their strength and stamina. I will send them a thank you right now." Kim laughed as she sent the message. "Alright let me clean this all up so we can get back to it." Adam kissed her as he cleaned up and left the room. After Kim sent the message she put her phone away and waited for Adam to return. When he returned he got back into the bed and curled up with Kim holding her tight. They spent the next hour continuing to make love to each other before getting some sleep. They needed to get the kids sometime before noon and that was only a few hours away.
As they drifted to sleep, blissfully exhausted, they couldn't help but smile at the life they were now living. They were married, 3 amazing kids, 2 jobs they loved and homes in different states. They definitely had it all right now and they wouldn't change it for anything.
