Chapter 200 Pies

Bobby squinted at the Angel in the moonlight.
"So any angels we can count on, Cas?' Bobby asked.
"Well you have Michael, he is our strongest Angel. Who else do you need?"
"Anyone we can get to be honest. There are demons in front of the gate so we have fight our way in and hold it while they are in there breaking the spell." Said Bobby.
"Dumar would like this fight. She has a group of henchmen in training. Raphael has been complaining about the lack of fighting."
"Okay, good start. Meet you tomorrow night with the best you have." Dean slapped Cas on the back and he disappeared. The hunters walked back in the direction of the hall.
"Where is the motel you booked for us?" Dean asked.
"Two blocks from the hall. I can take you there and look after the Impala."

They veered off in another direction.
"We need bags from the trunk to change clothes."
"I'll send someone to you with the bag. Just settle down and rest for a few. We are going to need it. Anything else we can do?"
"Purgatory, there must be some info on it somewhere" Sam asked.
"We've been looking. Nothing so far.
"Okay. We'll get a few hours asleep then meet you at the hall. Make sure the hunters are well rested, including yourself."
"Thanks Sam. Rest easy boys." Bobby handed them a key and pointed behind them.

The hotel was small but quiet. Their room was on the top floor so less disturbances to their rest. They took their boots off and had some cold water and a hug when there was a knock at the door. They had knives and guns out but it was a hunter with their bags. They took a shower each since the shower was very small, but had a great heat to it, then lay down for sleep in each other's arms.

Dean slipped out of bed later to use the bathroom and looked at the clock. He did a double take at the time, 10:30am. Wow, that was a good sleep. Back in bed Sam wrapped him back up in a hug and buried his nose in Dean's neck. He didn't fall back to sleep but lay enjoying Sam's warmth and thinking about what they were going to try to achieve that night. When Sam woke they spent time laying together and murmuring about the night to come.
"How are you feeling?" Sam asked.
"Weirdly okay."
"You're not nervous about going into a place that could look like anything?
"Exactly, it could look like anything. Worse than hell? Probably not."
"Hmm, makes you wonder. Could be just a black void."
"We'll deal with it together like we always do." Dean kissed Sam's hand he was holding.
"It's good to have support this time. All we have to do is remove the Enochian and get the hell out of the way."
"Sounds so easy."
"It always does." Sam chuckled. "Let's go see what Bobby's up to and get some food."
"Sounds good."

They dressed and moseyed over to the hall. It was very quiet with the hunters all sleeping. There was a white board up now with some notes added and a pile of books on the table. The heading on the board was Purgatory. The notes under were –
- It's like the backside of your worst nightmares. It's all blood and bone and darkness.
-Filled with the bodies and souls of all things hungry, sharp, and nasty.
-Its physical location is separate from both Heaven and Hell.
- Purgatory is a realm where the souls of supernatural creatures go after they die.

Dean stepped back. "Well nothing clear except there will be monsters."
"Lots, I'd say." Sam pointed to supernatural creatures go to die.
"Ah, well, not like hell then." Dean chuckled. "Let's go get food. There was a bakery towards the golf course, let's see if they are open."
When they stepped out of the hall Sam had to ask. "What's up with you? You're very relaxed before a hunt we don't know that much about." They walked towards the bakery.
"Yeah, since the cemetery I've been ultra-relaxed. Michaels influence, do you think?" Dean shrugged.
"Whatever it is its helping me to. I'm not even fussed I'm doing no research on this one."
"Maybe we need to hire people to do all the setup before." Dean laughed.
They walked along at peace until Dean saw the bakery. "Look Sam, pies!"

They were soon back at the hotel with a big pile of pies. They spent the next hour drinking coffee and eating pies, watching a game of baseball on TV. Bobby rang at 3pm and asked if he could come around. He arrived ten minutes later and asked for coffee to the guys surprise.
"I want to be on top of things from here on in. You boys are going to need support."
They sat around drinking coffee and watching the game and of course, ate more pies. Bobby realized after a time that Sam and Dean in particular were very calm and relaxed. He was looking at the clock every five seconds but Dean had his legs laying over Sam's.
"Hey, Dean?" Bobby tilted head as he spoke.
"Yeah?"
"Did you take something?"
"Just high on life, Bobby." Dean frowned. "No idea where that came from."
"You are both very relaxed with a hunt just over the hill. True to form Dean should be climbing the walls and Sam should have his head in a book."
Dean looked Bobby in the eye. "Not much we can do now."
"Holy shit, boy. Have you seen your eyes? Come over here." Bobby yanked Dean over to the window by his T shirt.

Sam joined them at the window where Bobby had Deans head in his hand.
"Your pupils are dilated like dinner plates. Have you taken something? Or hit your head? Is the light hurting your eyes?"
"That's a no to all those."
Sam looked over Bobby's shoulder. "They weren't like that before. I would have seen."
"It's okay. I didn't know that they were like it." Dean went to the bathroom. "Cool."
Bobby and Sam shook their heads at Dean thinking it was 'cool' when they were concerned.
"I look like an Xmen."
"Which one?" Sam joked.
"No idea." Laughed Dean. "Anyway, more pie?"
