Sun Through the Windows

Disclaimer: Don't own, don't need to. I can slash it either way, right?
Author's Notes: Wrote this quickly and without any point. Mostly because Duck-K pointed out that the fandom had no real Senna/April slash yet. *sweatdrops* It's short. It's different. I have no idea what I'm going.
...
YAY! Go slash writers of EW! Our fandom lives! Keep it up! *cheers* Obviously, it has come to my attention that the fandom is much larger than we originally thought, because people are posting! And there is joy. Oh yes.

April had always hated Senna.
It wasn't something that happened gradually, though there were always the foundations of something dark and foreboding that underlined their relationship as sisters. The actual moment of realization came quite suddenly, though. It was when she was fourteen, and Senna almost fifteen, and they were down at the lake on one of those days that seems almost entirely too good to be true. It was those kind of days that April thrived on.
Senna, of course, hated them.
What do you think of him? the blonde girl had asked off-handedly, her gray eyes watching April thoughtfully. Her blonde hair was glinting in the sun like a golden band of light, but there were shadows over the pale skin of her neck. Senna never got much sun. She was perched on a log under a beach tree, skinny arms wrapped around even skinnier legs.
Think of who? April had asked, surprised. She started gazing across the beach, the vibrant sand against the blue of the water, but inadvertently, her green eyes came back to the odd whiteness of her sister's skin. There was no sun soaking into that icy canvas. She could have reached out and touched her shoulder, but didn't because she knew how freezing cold it would be.
He's fairly handsome. A good kisser, Senna said casually.
Who?
Him.
She pointed, but neither one of them were looking at the man.
April stared at her half-sister, struck by the tiny smirk on her elfin face and the coldness of her eyes. And through her mind were the films and stages of her life, the times she tried to talk to her sister about hair tips, the stuffed animal she gave her so that Senna would sleep better at night, the mornings they both sat at the table and said nothing, but the light drifting through the windows lit up their hair exactly like the sun was doing today, and-
I think I could have him as a boyfriend, Senna whispered emotionlessly.
And April knew, without a doubt, beyond a fact, that she hated Senna Wales more than anything in the universe.

As I said: pointless. Not sure whether Senna or April is older. So I was deliberately vague.
Y'know, with all the new EW slash fics...? o.o I think we may actually have a bigger fandom than anyone realized. Dude.
... too many new, good writers. Cannot cope. *hides*
