who?

Kikyo,

first, true, and strong.

your heart was warm;

your love was good;

your touch was bliss:

but-

Kagome,

last, kind, and pure.

your mind is clear;

your voice, soothing;

your spirit is whole;

yet-

Kikyo,

I gave you my heart,

to you, to keep.

and received thine,

I thought for all of time.

and still-

Kagome,

you awoke me with a start,

even though I was then asleep.

in my waking I saw,

beauty with out a flaw.

nevertheless-

Kikyo,

even though you were dead,

from my thoughts you wouldn't flee.

now that again you live,

my soul for yours I'd give.

however-

Kagome,

you've gotten into my head,

happy with you I'd be.

to your heart you're true,

for you, there's nothing I wouldn't do.

nonetheless-

Kikyo,

you wish my life to end,

and it should be yours.

you, this I owe,

and this you do know.

despite this,

Kagome,

my soul and life you defend,

against all challengers.

brave heroine,

strong your heart within.

if only-

Kikyo,

your trust in me,

was totally shattered.

it is your right,

I'd give without a fight,

but then-

Kagome,

hoping not to hurt thee,

I strove to stop, and faltered.

your love is eternal,

creating peace internal.

even so-

there's Kikyo.

Well, its not very happy, but I think that its fairly honest, what do you think?  This was an exploration into his feelings, and trying to determine who really would take the cake between the two loves of his life. Who are really one and the same, as they have the same soul, and Kikyo stole part of kagome's soul so as to live again anyway… hmm…  Hints as to how to make it better while keeping Inuyahsa (who, I really really hope you figured out was talking) in character?  Thanks for listening, reading, and pondering… hope no one has to go through what he does and good luck to all.
