Yuna's Strange Birthday

I don't own them, just the idea of the whole birthday thingie. Btw, thank you Nekokaji for reviewing my other story. That means a lot…(sniff-sniff) Oh well, ON WITH THE STORY!!!!!

Yuna awoke to a silent airship. The Celsius was not as lively as it usually was: Barkeep was flopping his feet around, Shinra's constant typing and beeping, Brother's obnoxious whining and Buddy right there to shut him up. The sound of Rikku scampering around the ship was absent and Paine… she was always silent. She swung her legs off the side of the bed and stretched her arms as far as they would go. Yuna saw a note on Paine's bed and reciprocated her attention towards the small piece of paper. The note said…

Yuna,

We've gone on a mission without you. We all figured you were tired and needed a day off so we decided to let you rest here. Get some well deserved rest and see you soon!

"I guess I could use the rest…" she said aloud. "But I can't believe they went on a mission without me! OH POOPIE!"

Without another word, she shuffled her way to the bridge to set an auto-pilot mode to Besaid to visit Wakka, Lulu, and little Vidina.

"Come on Paine!" Rikku yelled. "Do it for Yunie!"

"Errr…" Paine sweatdropped. She obviously did not want to dress as an animal, that would be humiliating for her. "Paine! You jus' gotta! Shinra's a chicobo, Buddy's a chocobo, Brother's a tonnberry, Barkeep's a well, Hypello, and I'm a moogle. So you Dr. P, are one of these!" Rikku bellowed while shoving three costumes in Paine's face.

"I refuse to make a complete buffoon out of me." Paine spoke in a monotonous voice, as she always does.

"Shinra, MAKE HER DO IT!" The bouncy al bhed girl raved.

The boy-genius turned in his yellow, fuzzy costume and said his famous line, "I'm just a kid…"

"Come on Paine, it's for Yunie!" Rikku pleaded.

"…oh, all right…"

"Woo-hoo! Here, use this one!" Rikku said handing her a costume out of the pile.
