Metroid meet Halo

First of all, allow me to begin by saying this is my first ever story on Fanfiction.net!
Okay, this may sound bold but in this story I will be attempting to combine the worlds of Halo and Metroid. Please, do not fret if certain aspects of Metroid or Halo are left out, and if new parts are added in. That said, lets get on with the combining!
I am Samus Aran, a bounty hunter for the UNSC. I had been assigned the job of eliminating species who may join the Covenant. My main concern was the Space Pirates. The Pirates were a spread out race, so they weren't a huge concern by themselves, but if they were organized into the Covanent, our chances for winning the war would be impossible.
In the begining I was chosen from a select group of Military Officers to do what I have described above. I was specially trained and outfitted to accomplish my goals. A top secret "Power Suit" had been discovered on an ancient planet, and it was decided that I would be the first to use it. Oh and in case you are wondering, we attempted to duplicate the weaponary and power suit technology, but our attempts resulted in the deaths of each of the "Testers".
Through my travels, I have encountered every thing from Space Pirates, to giant flying aliens, to parasites. Trust me, defeating these with a one woman army was not an easy task.
At first I was able to operate stealthily, and the Covenant knew nothign of my actions. Soon, however, word spread to their elders and they were all over me. I barely made it back to Earth in one piece.
At the UNSC headquaters, I had my first encounter with a man who was simply called "The Master Chief". It was decided that we, two of the UNSC's best soldiers, would join forces in an effort to defeat the Covenant once and for all.
