Kazooie sighed.She and Banjo were heading back to Witchyworld.To find a
missing Jinjo,Banjo had said.Once they got in,the bear and bird warped to
the back of the tent.Then they split up.
"Kazooie,you check the lava world over there and the wild west world.I'll check the space world over there.Meet back here in about half an hour."
Kazooie nodded and sighed,then headed for the haunted world.Something about this place made her real edgy.She headed for the Caves of Horrors.And guess what she found.A white Jinjo,trapped in one of the cages.
"Help!" the Jinjo called.
"Typical."
But then the Jinjo said something else that Kazooie never heard them say before.
"Look out!"
Kazooie,shocked,turned and found some of those rats that worked here behind her,but before she could launch into a self defense attack,one of the grabbed her.Next thing she knew,she was in a cage.Gobi's old cage to be exact.Witchyworld had most certainly changed since the last time she and Banjo had been here.There were a lot more cages.One cage contained,much to Kazooie's surprise,one of Terry's chicks.It was evident that the baby remembered her too.
"Hey,I remember you.You're the one who hatched me,and your bear friend carried me back to daddy.Where are they,by the way?"
"Banjo's busying looking for a Jinjo,which happens to be right here."
She eyed the white Jinjo wearily as it continued trying to get someone's attention.
"Daddy's probably at the nest,wondering where you are....How'd you get here anyway?"
"I took the train.I wanted to prove to dad I could fend for myself.Once I got to Witchyworld and wandered for a while,I got captured.Too bad I didn't have some distance between me and those ugly rats.I could havr flown for it,as I'm not a big as I was when you hatch me....."
Then,much to everyone's surprise,the door creaked open and in walked Banjo.He looked shocked to see the uproar his presence caused,then he saw Kazooie.
"What are you doing in there?"
"Got caught when I found the Jinjo and have been stuck here,waiting for you to rescue me."
"Why don't you just use a grenade egg?"
"Oh that's easy.'Cause they took all the eggs I had with me so I couldn't!"
Banjo backed away.He didn't really like it when Kazooie yelled.
"Don't worry.I'll get some grenade eggs for you."
Banjo had barely left when he found the eggs.
"That was easy..."
But,on the way back to the Cave of Horrors,he ran into those rats.
"Thinking about freeing our exibits like last time? I don't think so! Get him!"
They all advanced,but Banjo whacked them with his backpack.He wasted no time going back....
BOOM!
With a loud bang and the thud of metal,Kazooie sprang up.She smiled,then fired grenade eggs all over the place,every cage busted open,including the white Jinjo and Terry's bigest chick.The Jinjo cheered and flew towards home,leaving a jiggy behind.Terry's chick headed for the train station,which was nearby.The train was there.
"Where do you want to go?" Old King Coal asked as Banjo and Kazooie hopped inside the cab.
"Terrydactland."
With a blow of the whistle and a jerking motion,the train took off.A little while later,they were back in Terrydactland.Terry's chick flew back to the nest,where Terry was worried.Once he heard the story,he grounded the chick and rewarded Banjo and Kazzoie for finding her.Kazooie smiled.She couldn't wait for the next adventure.
