*My First Fic! Yay! Hope ya'll like it.
The Magic Within
Chapter One: Sh-Sh-Shakin' *~* "Ginny, Sirius has died," Harry spoke softly to her as he looked into her chocolate eyes.
"No, you're joking - he hasn't died - has he?" the young redhead was shaking fiercely now, afraid that what Harry said was true.
"No, I'm not joking," he paused and began to sob, "He's really gone. We've lost him forever!" and with that Harry fell to the ground with his face in his hands. Ginny realized that he was telling the truth. Then everything went dark, and she felt herself being lifted by someone and carried away.
*~*~*~*~* "Ginny dearest, wake up," her mother said to her when she poked her head into the room, "It's time for breakfast. You've got to eat sometime," there was a pleading tone to her voice. Ginny hadn't eaten for a week since Sirius's death. To her, there was no point in living without someone to live for.
"I don't have to eat," she moaned and jerked up from bed, "I don't have to live in a world where they take away people you love!!!" she ran up to her mother and screamed, "Get out!" and slammed the door in her face. Ginny hated being this way to her mother, but she wanted to be alone; she felt like dying.
A terrified and sad mother went back downstairs at the Burrow and sat down to eat breakfast with her family. They all had heard their conversation, but no one questioned her. They knew the subject wasn't to be discussed yet. It took time to heal a wound of this magnitude, and to break open the cut as it was just beginning to heal was not a wise thing to do.
Breakfast and all the other meals that week had been silent and sorrowful. Nobody felt like being happy, because there was nothing to be happy about. So they all ate their meals quietly and didn't say anything about what had happened last week.
*~*
*Why did it have to happen this way?* Ginny questioned herself. Well, actually, she was questioning the Gods, because they were the ones that took Sirius away from her. *Gosh, I sound so selfish. It sounds like I'm the only one who lost someone special to me, but everybody lost him; not just me.* She continued to think about things of this sort, until she fell asleep.
Ginny Weasley had been sleeping all throughout the week, except when she would awake from a dream about his death, drenched in sweat, shaking from head to toe. Then she would go back to sleep, but would dream of Sirius, and how he used to love life so much, and love being around Harry, Hermione, Ron, and her. They would all laugh and talk for hours. She missed him so much, and wanted him back.
*I wonder what Sirius was like when he was my age..* Ginny pondered inside her head. *It would be so nice to see him again...wouldn't it be cool to go back in time and see him? Yeah, like that would ever happen!* and then she went back to sleep, and didn't wake up until midnight. But little did Ginny Weasley realize, she wasn't at home anymore.
*A/N: Ok, sorry for the short chapter, but it's kinda like an introductory into this story. Just a little peek into the next chapter: Time travel! Whee! Noelle does a lot of time travel in her fics, and I think it's just awesome, so I decided to do some in mine. Hope you like this chapter, and I promise to have a longer one next time. Byes! :)
