A/N : This is my first CCD fic that I made and finished, though it is very short. So if you're reading this, please R & R, k? Oh, and just to let you know this is taken from Nokoru's POV, when he was in the Middle School Division, grade 9.
Desires...
"What is it that you desire most in this world?" If I ask you this what will you answer?
Some people might answer money. Plenty of money to last them seven generations. So that they could buy whatever and when ever their hearts desire.
Other's would answer knowledge. The greatest knowledge known to mankind. So those who are usually made fun of cause they get low grades, will be the ones that other people look up to for they always get new ideas and new inventions to help mankind.
Other people might ask for fame. So whenever they go somewhere, wherever they go, people will recognize them and will be glad that they knew them.
But I desire none of those. In fact I've already got them. Fame, Fortune and Knowledge. And yet I can never have the one thing I desire most.
The one and only I desire in this world is a family. A true family that will always be there for each other, be true to each other and will always willingly share each other's pain and happiness, also will always be able to understand each other when no one else could. Sure, I have a family. But what is a family if each member is too busy to spend time with each other.
Ever since I was in the Elementary Division, the only people that I have considered a true family and the ones that were always there for me were Akira Ijyuin and Suoh Takamura. Suoh, the guardian and martial artist, and Akira, the cook and the thief. He might not know it, but I've known Akira's secret identity as the 20 Mask Thief for quite a while now. In fact, when I first met him, I knew there was something strange about him, just like the first time I met Suoh.
But Suoh and Akira, they both have loved ones in their life and they have their own life to live. They cannot be there, be by my side forever. For Akira has Utako Ohkawa and Suoh has Nagisa Azuya. And sooner or later they are bound to leave me. And me? Until now I have never found the one. And I doubt I will. Despite the fact that I'm always surrounded by many ladies of all ages.
For I am Nokoru Imonoyama. I was destined to be alone since the day I was born.
