Telling Her the Truth
"Thanks for dropping me off, Tails-chan!"
"N-no problem," Tails stammered as Amy went in her house. Tails got back in his plane and headed for his workshop. 'Amy's always chasing after Sonic, so she's never noticed how much I like her...' he thought. He sat down in his bed, thinking. "Toda's the say before Valentines Day... maybe then I can tell her." He made up his mind and quickly got on the train departing to Station Square.
*Next Day*
Amy woke up early hoping to get a valentine from 'her' Sonic. She noticed a box of chocolates on her dresser. There was a letter along with it too. She grabbed it. "It might be from Sonic!" she said happily and rushed out the door.

"Hey Tails. Where are you going?" Amy asked.
"Uh... uh... to... Sonic's..."
"I'm heading there too. Can you believe he gave me a valentine? He must really love me!"
"Ur... um... yeah..." Tails responded.
"C'mon, let's go!" Amy said, pulling Tails off to Sonic's house. As soon as they got there, and when Sonic opened the door, Amy pulled Sonic into a tight hug. "Ooooo, Sonikku! I knew you loved me!" Sonic looked like he was about to burst. "Amy... I... can't breathe..."
"Oh," she said, letting go of Sonic. "I knew you loved me!!!"
"Uh, what do you mean?" Sonic asked.
"Silly, the valentine you gave me!"
"Uh, Dewa mata*," Tails said, trying to leave.
"No, Tails, STAY! I bet you'd wanna see Sonic propose to me.
"OK..." Tails said obediently.
"I didn't send you anything, Ames."
"That valentine with the chocolates?"
Sonic started at laugh. "Who would waste chocolates on you?" He ran off, laughing.
Amy stared, shocked. Tails looked at her, sad for her.
"Hontou-ni gomennasai,*** Tails..."
"Goshinpai-naku**," Tails replied.
"But I dragged you all the way out here... and it turns out that it wasn't even him who sent that..."
"It was me..."
Amy looked up at Tails, tears in her eyes. She opened the letter. 'I love you' it said. 'I love you too, Tails," Amy said, hugging him.
