Just Like Home
I finally remembered,
The place I once called home,
I ran up the driveway,
As I had done so many years ago,
But as I reach the end,
Where my house used to be,
I can only stare,
It's to late it's all gone,
My house is gone,
Rubble is all that remains of my old life,
I sit there and think about my old life,
I use a stick,
I try to redraw my house,
I stay awhile longer,
Then I return to the place,
That I now call home,
It's an old ship called Bebop,
It's nothing like my old home,
But as I sit and think,
I begin to realize,
This is just as good as my old home,
It may not have the same things,
That my old house did,
But there is one thing that's the same,
It's a place I can return to,
The only place I can go,
My friends are here,
I love them even though I don't show it,
I do love them,
I have someone to love,
Just like home.
