I cannot believe the words that Lady Kayura had spoken to Master Talpa when we were called to hear her report in our master's Throne Room. What she said...it cannot be true. How is it possible for Anubis, the former Warlord of Cruelty, to...to become the new Ancient One? It has to be a lie; yes that's it, she lied to Master Talpa just so she could spite us. Damn her to Hell and back...

Anubis...would never betray us like that. We...we are a family of brothers, Anubis would never just get up and walk away from us as if we were insignificant. Besides, Anubis had been placed securely in the dungeons...how was he able to escape?

Why did Master Talpa believe her? He is more aware of the politics and plots that go on in this castle, more so than any of us; so why couldn't he see that she was lying to him? Why does he believe her words? Is Master Talpa gullible enough to believe that his right hand man would become his greatest threat?

After hearing Lady Kayura's report, I, in a fit of anger and rage, went into my private chamber and shattered many of the objects that decorate my room. These objects would be considered by the mortals to be "priceless," but as of right now, I don't care. Objects are meaningless; they can always be discarded and/or replaced by something more beautiful or something more valuable. People, however...cannot be replaced as easily as objects can. A person's life…has more valuable and more worth before the eight million deities than any amount of gold. Besides...no amount of gold will ever equal the worth of Cale, Sekhmet, and Anubis.

But still...I have to know. I have to see for myself if Kayura is truly lying or not. It looks like I will have to make my way to the Mortal Realm if I am to learn the truth. I will never be sure until I see Anubis wearing the robes of the Ancient One. I will never be sure of that bitch's testimony until I see him carrying that monk's damnable staff. I will never believe one word Kayura says...until I see the proof with my own eye.
