Disclaimer: I don't own Grand Theft Auto III. If I owned Grand Theft Auto III and any of it's characters, I wouldn't be be posting my stuff for others to Read & Review. It'd be Grand Theft Auto 5.

Anyways, this is the first chapter of my first fanfic, so I'm expecting a lot of bad reviews ;)

Don't hold back, now. Hit me with everything you got! I can't go anywhere if I don't know where I'm going, can I?

Chapter 1

Johnny Talbot slammed on the brake pedal as he yanked the wheel to the left, causing his Mafia Sentinel to make a sharp, 90 degrees turn onto the Callahan bridge to Portland Island. As the car did so, he caught a glimpse of the 2 Yakuza Stingers swerving around traffic in order to speed toward him. Behind the car, he heard the familiar sirens of the LCPD squad cars.

'I'm totally screwed.' Johnny thought to himself.

Without wasting time, Johnny shoved his foot into the accelerator pedal and the tweaked Mafia Sentinel shot off onto the Callahan bridge. His head dropped down as gun fire tore through his car's back window. Tightening his grip on the steering wheel, Johnny's foot pushed the accelerator further to the floor. The car's speed increased with every second, but slowed occasionally from his weaving in and out of traffic on both sides of the bridge.

Johnny noticed that the Yakuza cars were slowly disappearing out of his rear-view mirror and being replaced by the LCPD. There were three standard squad cars, and an armored S.W.A.T. van behind him, catching up. After coming off of the bridge, Johnny took the first right, which was the street that marked the beginning of Chinatown. He cursed to himself silently as he realized that turning here would be a big mistake.

The Mafia, whom Johnny was working for, was at war with the Triads, the gang that owned Chinatown, for quite awhile now without any sight as to when it would end. If the Triads saw a car belonging to the Mafia driving down their street, they would surely shoot at it in an effort to kill it's driver.

The Mafia Sentinel only made it one block down the street before a green bottle that was stuffed with a flaming rag went crashing into the front windshield, shattering it. Johnny could see nothing but the burning flames on the hood of his car that licked at his hands as he struggled to keep the car under control. The car came to a violent stop as it suddenly crashed into a wall near an alley.

Disoriented and bleeding from the top of his forehead, Johnny opened the car door and started to run to escape not only the oncoming explosion, but the LCPD officers, the Yakuza, and the Triad thugs that were all approaching. After realizing he left his boss's package, he ran back to the car and dug under the seat of the passenger side seat and soon he came back up with a box wrapped in light brown paper tied together with white string. The content of the package was completely unknown to him, but it must have been important if his boss sent him, a simple hoodlum until a week ago when he was recruited into the Gortelli family by Luigi Gortelli himself.

Johnny took off running toward the end of the block when he was out of the car once again. The package was secured under his left arm while a .45 caliber pistol was held in his right hand. When Johnny was near the end of the block, he was surprised by four Triad thugs equipped with baseball bats and pistols that rounded the corner because they heard the explosion. Without stalling, Johnny threw up his right arm at the thugs. All four Triads either jumped to the side to avoid the oncoming onslaught of bullets that would be fired from Johnny's gun. To their surprise, however, a gun was not fired. All they heard were footsteps running past them as they lay on the ground, surprised.
