Long lost words whisper slowly to me Still can't find what keeps me here

When all this time I've been so hollow inside

I know you're still there

Watching me wanting me

I can feel you pull me down

Fearing you loving you

I won't let you pull me down

She looked slowly around the deserted castle. Its walls were as dark and dreary as ever and water spots had begun to show in spots where the rain had leaked through. She wasn't sure why she had come back here. It had been four whole years since she had shared this castle with Tom Riddle or, as he preferred to be called, Lord Voldemort. A deep sighed escaped her lips. She had loved him so much. Memories of the promises he made to her entered her mind as though he was speaking them gently in her ear: "Forever, we'll be together forever. Our love will last and echo through the ages. The two of us always, just the two of us."

She looked around suddenly, the haunting sounds coming from a spot where her mind did not reach. She turned around suddenly, hearing the wind whisper through a crack in the door. She had heard the rumours; she knew what they were saying out there: he wasn't really gone. "He will be back," they predicted solemnly. "Before you know it, he'll be back. He hasn't really gone."

Were they right? Her eyes darted wildly over the walls, wondering how she could be so afraid of someone she loved so much. Fear crept into her soul as shadows danced on the empty walls. Shivers were sent up and down her spine as the endless promises continued. "It's always going to be us together, against the rest of the world. No one understands me like you do. No one loves me like you do. You're my life, my soul, my heart. Together, we can be great."

Hunting you I can smell you - alive

Your heart pounding in my head

Terrible headaches had plagued her since he had gone and she knew he was sending them. Far away he was, hiding, waiting for his right moment to strike. Weakness had conquered his soul but she still fought for him against her will. "It's the way it has to be," he explained to her. "Let me into your soul, your life, your head, and you will never again be lonely."

They were the magic words. He knew that one of the things she feared most in life was to be alone and he knew just how to manipulate her so that she would obey his every command. And she had, sometimes on sobbing knees, begging for mercy from the pain that wracked her mind. And she knew that he was biding his time.

Watching me wanting me

I can feel you pull me down

Saving me raping me watching me

Watching me...wanting me

I can feel you pull me down

Fearing you...loving you

I won't let you pull me down

She was almost too scared to move. Quietly, she crept to the doorway and took one last glance at the place that had been her home, her sanctuary, her life. Dark shadows kept crawling on the walls, sending cold chills into her mind. She blocked the voices creeping in from outside these walls and hoped that maybe, just maybe, she could block them for good.

The wind continued to whistle through the doorway, giving her signals to leave while she had the strength. Before, she could never do it. She tried so many times to leave the nightmare that had become her life, but once her name escaped his lips, she found all the strength she had gathered left her and she was once again at his mercy.

"Not anymore," she announced to the dark castle. Her voice echoed within its ailing walls and bounced off the pillars she had come to know so well. "I'm through with being haunted." She closed the door softly behind her as she stepped out into the soft night. Stars shone above her as she left the place that was once her home.
