Hands; My Hands!

In the shadows of the night

he comes with all his might

to take away your life

with out an ounce of spite.

I close my eye's

forcing these memories away

but they'll never fade.

I try to tare away

but they forever stay.

I tried to run away

but the darkness will always remain.

Your warm hands hold me together

keeping me sane

but I'm scared to let you love me

for fear of your life.

I don't want to make the same mistake twice.

Why do you stay with me

when you know what I could be.

I tell myself a thousand times

that I won't forgive my crimes.

So how is it that you can forgive me

with out even an inch of disgust?

Many lives I have destroyed

making life seem void.

Then you came with healing hands

restoring the pieces of my soul

that each ones death had stole.

Your smile was my strength

to keep on living.

Your trusting heart was my courage

to keep on fighting.

Your sweet and innocent talk

drove away the fears of my past

this is my reason for living...

you!
