Winter
Disclaimer: You know. Don't own.
Winter is a time of snow,
A time of death and life.
Kenshin trudged through the snow, his feet making the same trip as before.
Winter is a time of reminiscence,
At least it is for me.
His eyes were glazed over, it was as if he was seeing nothing but his memories.
I would give away my future,
And give away the stars.
His feet guided the way through, while his mind went over past grievances.
I would stand and cry forever,
To just forget the past.
He couldn't understand, why couldn't he have stopped? Why didn't he smell the scent of white plums?
But you are always there,
Right behind my back.
His mind flashed various possibilities as to what he could have done to have her still living.
Blending with the snow,
Until you fade to black.
In one millisecond, Kenshin turned around, his sword aiming at the trees. Only to find, that Tomoe was standing there next to the snow, holding an iris.
I would give away my future,
And give away the moon.
Sighing, he sheathed his sword, this was normal, Tomoe was always there, right behind him, but he never could reach her.
I would stand still forever,
To stop your death too soon.
Kenshin continued walking, his eyes glazed over once again. Kenshin knew, knew that he would go insane soon.
And your blood it bleeds with flowers,
From the season spring.
Slowly, as if in a trance, Kenshin picked up a flower, it was torn in half, and it was red, blood red. Just like Tomoe's blood.
And during Fall,
You stand there, looking right at me.
Kenshin just couldn't forget about her, or rather, Battousaii couldn't forget about her, after all, she was his sheath, preventing him from going insane. Yet, it was funny, the same women that helped him, was now killing him.
I would give away the future,
I would give away the night.
The moon was clear, and was shining down upon him, it was as if Tomoe was there comforting him, just like she always did.
I would give anything,
Not to be here tonight.
His feet stopped, he had arrived, it was Tomoe's grave. Sighing to himself, he wondered if Kaoru would panic, but no, Kaoru could never take the place of Tomoe.never. Tomoe died for him, she died trying to save him, with Kaoru, it was always that he would have to save her.But there was nothing wrong with being friends, after all he would never love again.
