A/N: This just came to me while looking at a thread over at FAPark about slashy canon quotes. Remember that note Harry gave to Ron in second year that said "Let's do it tonight"? Well, taken out of context, it's very amusing ^_^
Warnings: For you who didn't read the summary, this is SLASH as in TWO BOYS ARE IN LOVE, and that is ROMANTIC love. Je répète: THIS STORY CONTAINS HINTS ABOUT WHAT TWO BOYS WILL DO WHEN THE LIGHTS GO OUT. THEY WILL NOT BE SLEEPING. NOT SEPARATELY, AT LEAST.
Let's do it tonight
Ron looked down at the note Harry had just given him.
Let's do it tonight, it said, just like the one he'd gotten in their second year. However, he had a feeling Harry wasn't talking about going into the forest to check where the spiders were headed-- not that he was sorry about that.
Do what? he wrote and gave the note back with a quick glance at Hermione. She was absorbed in taking notes about... whatever it was they were studying now, and since Binns never saw what they were doing anyway, it was safe.
Harry gave the note back.
You know, it.
No, I don't know. Enlighten me, boy wonder, he wrote and rolled his eyes. Harry could never just get straight to the point.
You know... it.
Ron stared. It almost seemed as if Harry wanted to... He settled for replying eloquently before drawing any conclusions.
Huh?
Damn it, Ron, I'm talking about sex!
Ron spluttered as he read it, and Binns actually looked concerned.
"Is there a problem, Mr. Wallace?" he asked.
"No, no, not at all," Ron, whose face was beet-red, answered airily.
I just read that wrong, you can't possibly mean that.
Why not?
Well, we're both blokes, we're mates for Merlin's sake! And on closer thought, where did you even get the notion that I'd want to do that with you?
I've seen the way you look at me, Ron. Ron glanced sideways at Harry, who was acting the ever-attentive student, looking at Binns with an angelic expression. Ron looked back at the parchment again, blushing furiously. Had he really been that obvious? Then again, Harry didn't seem to mind terribly...
What do you mean?
Oh, come on, Wallace! Don't play me for a fool.
Ron studied his fingernails. It seemed he would have to admit it, then.
Sorry. You're right. There, that was the closest to an apology Harry'd get.
So, will we do it? Blimey, he certainly seemed to forgive him fast! Ron hesitated; his quill was poised to write his reply, but he didn't know what it would be yet. After a few minutes, Harry grabbed the note and wrote:
We don't have to do it. I wouldn't've suggested it if I knew it'd make you this uncomfortable, we can just still be friends if you like.
That made Ron decide.
Let's, then.
It had been a very interesting history lesson for once.
