Twinblade_Yugi: This is my first fic, I hope you like it! __________________________________________________________________________ Chapter 1: Yugi's First Race
Yugi drove his Mustang SVT Cobra R down the street. Looking at the street names, he turned left on 9th street, and found himself in what looked like a street racing spot. He drove slowly to the end and pulled over to the sidewalk where his friend Samantha was talking to some of the racers.
"Hey Samantha," Yugi said.
"Yugi, you made it," Samantha replied.
"Why did you want me to come here?" Yugi asked.
"To race, of course," Samantha answered. " So drive your car over to 10th street, and I'll be there in a second."
Yugi drove to where he was instructed. He drove towards where some people where waiting for someone. Yugi saw Samantha signal him to drive up in between a 1998 Camaro and a 2004 Volkswagon Golf GTI.
"This race is a two lap circuit race from here around 17th street and back," Samantha yelled over the growling engines. Yugi started his car up. He was beginning to have second thoughts about racing. "On your mark! Get set! GO!"
The cars darted forward. In first was the Camaro, second the Volkswagon, and Yugi in last. Yugi had no clue what to do, he'd never raced before. He shifted into 3rd gear, passing up the Volkswagon. Yugi flew into the turn in 4th gear going 125 m.p.h. The cars dashed through the finish line starting the final lap. Now in 5th gear, Yugi began to draft the Camaro. Both cars going 165 m.p.h. in sixth gear. They headed into the turn, the Camaro slowed down, but Yugi took the turn without slowing down. Somehow, he made it out alive. Coming into the last turn, Yugi drifted it at 180 m.p.h. He was heading towards the finish line, but the Camaro was closing the gap. Yugi passed the finish line .37 seconds ahead of the Camaro and 1.31 seconds ahead of the Volkswagon. Yugi was in shock, he'd won his first street race.
"Yugi, you won!" Samantha yelled as she ran toward him and his car.
"I c-can't belive it," Yugi said as the shock wore off.
"How'd you take those turns?" someone asked from the crowd.
"Where'd you learn to drive like that?" another spectator asked.
After many questions and comments later, Yugi was finally able to get out of his car and collect his winnings of 1,000 dollars. Soon after that, Yugi drove home.
