"Twin Smiles"
In the mountains there lives a small family, a mother and her 17 year- old twins. She named them Miki and Yuu. They were both loved so much. Their mother loved taking pictures of her children. Throughout the house there were pictures of them. Now you see Miki and Yuu are special, because Miki couldn't see and Yuu couldn't talk. Both born of the same disease that would be for one child, but instead they shared it. Miki had grayish-blue eyes, beautiful brown hair; her appearance was pale and plain. Much like his sister's; Yuu's hair was brown, but his eyes were gray his complication was bright and with a lot of energy. Although he couldn't speak he'd comfort her, indeed they had a strong bond.
Since their mother loved them she decided they'd be home-schooled. She wanted them to stay with her forever. If she died she would order her children to kill themselves, they would. At times when they had the chance, the two would leave the house and walk as far they could just to find a road, but never did. They would turn back and try again another time. They would holds hands in order to help each other. Yuu would give Miki his eyes and help her walk. Miki would be his voice to tell. But they never showed and expression that they wanted something. They were very calm and unactive.
Every time their mother would take out the camera they were to smile, never though did they smile, in their seventeen years of living did they smile. That's all their mother wanted. She wanted them to smile. She wanted to she the twins smile before she died. It was getting closer and closer to her death. But she didn't have to worry because she would see them smile in the next life. They were emotionless dolls.
One day she set up the camera in order to take a picture of them. With her weak arms she sat the camera on the typhoid. She was already 50 years old and her children were 23. She signaled her children to sit at the table. Miki held a cup of tea with a spoon and stirred it with no expression on her face. Yuu guided her to the table. Miki sat the cup on the table and the spoon on a napkin beside it. Yuu stood on her left close beside her. Their mother was prepared to take the picture. Miki looked down at the cup of tea with no expression, and Yuu looked towards the camera with the same expression as Miki, none.
Their mother suddenly collapsed on the ground and died. The twins stayed as they were waiting for their mother's orders to kill themselves, she never gave them.
Slowly.Miki and Yuu gave a slight smile.their faces cracked.
.the camera flashed.
