::after the success of the Easter fic, I've returned with.....::
"Dinotopia Mother's Day"
Mother's Day, a joyous time of letting your mom sleep while you do the dishes for once. Families shower their beloved matriarchs with so many gifts and flowers until she develops allergies!
For the most part, mum's day goes off without a hitch; unless you're Jewelspike, Kie, Leafy, or Toki. Let's intrude on their little adventure for a while....

"Oh! The last dandelion green of the season! Yum!" Leafy dove to pick it, but Jewelspike, using the height difference to an advantage, ate it first.
"Hey! I was going to give that to mom!" Leafy called, irritated.
"Finders keepers." Jewel snorted over her shoulder.
"Meanie!" Leafy pouted until Toki walked by and hit her snout with a Troodon-shaped plushie. "Hey! What was that for?"
The Troodon just shrugged. "You were getting uptight over a leaf."
"Um, look at my name!"
"So?"
If Iguanodons could growl, Leafy would have. Kie was sitting by, laughing. He had to put down the sculpture, which he had bought from someone with thumbs, to save it. Accidentally snorting like a trombone, Kie brought the other three back to their quest: to try and get to their mothers!
Toki went to take his place at the head of the line, swinging the plushie back and forth. Suddenly, it went limp in his claw and the stuffing drained and great rending noise was heard from Jewel's tail. Toki plopped down and started crying.
"Smooth move, Spikey!" Leafy snapped.
"Leaf muncher! That was quite rude! It's okay, Toki." Kie retorted. She tried nuzzling the smaller dinosaur, but almost knocked him over.
"Not it's not! That was hand-made!" Toki wailed after righting himself.
"Maybe we can give you mother one of Kie's turtles." Leafy glared at the Parasaurolophus.
"Only if we give her one of your ducks!" The Parasaurolophus shot an evil look back at the Iguanodon. He hissed, "Don't ever muck with my turtles!"
The big, green herbivore plodded over and stared at the crested hadrosaur.
"Whoever blinks first loses!" Leafy declared.
"How about who ever laughs first." Kie suggested.
"Both."
"Okay.....," He blinked a few times. "NOW!"
Meanwhile, during the staring contest Jewelspike plodded over to the Troodon.
"Hey, I'm sorry about the stuffed dinosaur." She appologized. Toki stopped blubbering and got up.
"It's no problem, really. Mom'll just have to settle with flowers again this year."
A tall man with a receeding hairline and clutching a Bix plushie walked by in the background, very confused at his fan-base's actions.
"Should we break up the fight?" Jewelspike asked.
"Naw. If we do, we'll have a very murderous Leafy." Toki shook his head.
The Stegosaurus shuddered, "That would be bad."
"Yeah." Toki pulled in a few mice for him and few leaves for Jewelspike. The two happily munched as Kie tried to keep from laughing. However, by the blowing of the dust, it was Leafy that fell first. Defeated, she sauntered away.
"Sore loser!" Kie called.
"She'll be back. Just wait until she finds another dandelion." Toki said.
