Black Rose
Ch. 1
Slowly making her way threw the compartments, the red headed girl ignored everyone, in colluding the lady at the trolley. Tears swelled up in the emerald eyes of the young girl as she entered the last compartment, only to see another girl sitting in it. Taking a seat across from her Lily Evans stared at her, tears poring down her soft rosy cheeks.
The other girl just stared at Lily, her dark brown locks of curls falling around her face. Her gray ice eyes shimmered with on coming tears as she slowly stood and made her way to sit next to Lily. Lily grunted and sobbed uncontrollably, gripping the other girl in to a tight hug.
Elizabeth Cortez held her arms around Lily, embracing her in a tight squeeze. Elizabeth took in a deep breath and started to dry heave. Tears pored down from her face and landed on Lily's shoulder. Pulling away Lily stared in to her best friends misty shimmering eyes.
"I.. I. I'm sorry." Lily coaxed out, her voice sounded in a hoarse whisper.
Elizabeth looked at her friend, a confused and lost look upon her face. "Wha. what are.are you talking about?" Elizabeth questioned, her hands resting upon Lily's shoulders.
"If only I hadn't suggested on going to the diner, maybe they would still be here." Lily answered, her eye contact breaking away from her friends. "Its all my fault, and now they are all gone!" Lily exclaimed, more tears streaming down her face like a rainy day.
"Please. Lily, don't say that! Its not true and you know it! We couldn't of helped anything! We just." Elizabeth exclaimed, and then slowed down to a pause, her sight turning to the window which was closed so the rain didn't enter the train.
"We just what Liz?" Lily asked, a questioning look upon her face. She slowly whipped away her old tears, only to be replaced with new ones.
"We just got lucky, ok! You know as well as me that if we where with them, we would be dead also!" Elizabeth shouted in anger, not being able to control her rage.
