An Angel In The Eyes Of A Child
I see this man,
He has green hair,
Eyes that are different colors,
At first he looked like any other man,
Just a guy trying to live his life,
Then everything changed,
Guns started firing every which way,
People running everywhere,
As I begin to run,
I looked back one last time,
I saw a little girl,
She was crying for her mama,
I dunno why she didn't run,
I guess she was to scared,
I thought she was gonna die,
Those men pointed their guns at her,
Yelled at her,
Scared her even more,
I hid behind a trashcan,
Praying they wouldn't see me,
I watched them scare this poor little girl,
Then out of nowhere another shot fired,
The shot knocked the gun right out of the man's hand,
"Who is that?" all the men yelled,
I looked and saw,
The man with green hair,
They pointed their guns at him,
He just smiled,
A fight broke out,
He clearly knew what he was doing,
He was winning until,
The leader of the group grabbed the girl,
He said if he didn't stop he would kill her,
The green haired man just looked at him,
His smile was gone,
He looked at the little girl,
She stared at him with tears in her eyes,
He looked at her and dropped his gun,
The man let go of the girl and ran,
The police arrived and caught the rest of the men,
The girl was still crying,
Her mother ran to her and hugged her tight,
The girl suddenly stopped crying,
And looked at the green haired man,
She smiled and said, "Mommy he saved me, is he my angel?"
"Well I dunno, maybe," her mother replied and looked at the green
haired man,
I continued to watch them,
The green haired man replied,
"Sorry but I'm no angel."
"Then what are you?" the little girl asked,
"I'm just a cowboy," he said and walked away,
"A cowboy, he's one of those bounty hunters," her mother said with
disgust,
"No mommy he's an angel," the little girl said,
"How can anyone think those low life cowboys are angels?" another man
asked,
"Well," I said as I stood up,
"I guess even a cowboy can do something as pure as angel in the eyes of a
child."
