Chapter 2

Blood and Gossip

As they walked through the doors, they noticed something sort of odd, the only person there was a strange old man wearing sunglasses in an old dusty hat and jacket.

"Wow, I know its Sunday but this truly is empty," Zell said as he pulled out Selphie's chair for her.

"Wow, he actually pulled out my char," Selphie thought, "it's a miracle."

When he came back with their drinks, she looked into his eyes. She could see compassion, but their was something else in his glare she couldn't quite place. She'd never seen it before.

Her new power to conjure people's feelings was still to weak to register this feeling that Zell was having. Could this feeling be that powerful?

"Selph, look, you're a great woman and we've been together for three months now and."

All of the sudden Squall and Quistis walked in, both soaked in blood, Squall gashed from head to toe.

Squall could not talk only convulse rigidly.

"H-He and I were having a argument when this huge orb, like a big ball of light burst through the window and surrounded us, when it disappeared, I was fine except I was soaked with his blood and he had gashes all over him and couldn't speak, so I figured I'd better come find you guys to see if you knew anything about it."

"No, we don't, but we'd better go see Headmaster Cid and find out exactly what is going on." Selphie said.

"Yeah, we should, I can't believe he got blood all over my new white sundress!"

"What, its not like the two of you don't get action until it comes to the bedroom that is."

"Damnit. Selphie had no business gallivanting our problems across campus to all her little gossip-queen friends," Zell thought.

"Damnit. Zell had no business telling all his muscle headed guy friends I was no good in bed (when its really his problem, since he'd rather have his dick hooked up to a fucking videogame) now I bet everyone thinks I lug out in bed."
