Disclaimer: As you all know I do not own Phantom. My work doesn't even do
it justice. I am just trying hard to be a half way decent poet.
To my reviewers of Masterpiece: Thank you very much.
PhantomAngel22: Thank you for your kind words and I'm glad you enjoyed it.
OGK: Thank you for your honesty. I'm glad the last verse was at least
enjoyable.
Feya: Thank you for your kind and enthusiastic words. I don't think it's
good enough to
be in a book but thank you for the compliment.
Susette: Thank you for your honesty and your suggestions. I can't help but
think that I'll never live up to your expectations but I'm willing to give
it a shot. Thank you also for your patience with me and for helping me to
see the truth.
Sharonarnotdon: Thank you for always being there for me. I know I can
always count on you for a kind word and the occasional thanks. Both mean
the world to me since I've been so busy with work. Sometimes it feels as
if I'm being forgotten and you seem to be one of the few who take the time
to remember me. Thank you again my friend.
I'll Remember
I'll remember
the way you were
when we first met
and how my friendship
helped to open your heart.
I'll remember
the pain that brought us together
to show us that we are never
truly alone as long as there is
someone else who understands.
I'll remember
the deception and lies we told
thinking only to protect the other
from the harsh reality hidden
behind out finely crafted lies.
I'll remember
the sound of your amazing voice
and all the power it held to sound
as soft as distant church bells or
as harsh as thunder in an instant.
I'll remember
how you taught me to believe
in myself and my voice
giving me wings to soar high
above the world into the arms of angels.
I'll remember
your magnificent voice and eyes
both like mirrors of emotion
calm when lifted in sweet song
but tortured when reminiscing.
But most of all
I'll remember
that life is a delicate balance
of light and dark for neither can survive
without the other and both are necessary.
So there you have it. Please tell me what you think and feel free to offer
any and all suggestions. It might not seem like it but I really do listen
and take everything into consideration, I'm just a little slow at times. I
promise next months will be better. I have already been working on it for
a couple of days and I am continuing to study as well as read the poems of
the masters in hopes of learning something. Thank you for your time and I
hope I didn't waste it.
