Accidents

The calm of the ocean drive, high about the water on a cliff edge was suddenly disturbed by the sounds of a car, coming from a distance. The screeching of car wheels could be heard for miles, the fatal sounds of a crash fell upon the deaf ears of the ocean, and the car went plummeting over the edge of the cliffs, taking the driver, a man of 27 intoxicated with the beer that he held in his hand, and a lovely young woman who sat slumped in the passengers seat unaware of the world around her.

"You're mine now Sarah, no one can ever have you save me." Came an evil voice of the intoxicated driver breaking the silence of the wind rushing about them as the car slowly fell to its death, in the murky wake of the unforgiving ocean.

"Such a Pity."

Sarah awoke in a light room; the thing she was lying on was cold to the touch but provided odd comfort from the world around her.

The room was a shade of silver, sparkling and catching the morning sun, which threw light upon the young woman, and also upon a man who was sitting the corner observing the maiden who lay on the stab of marble.

"Where am I?" Whispered Sarah mostly to herself

"You are in my world Sarah; I saved you from the fate of death." Replied Jareth in an arrogant voice startling Sarah who peered into the corner, frozen in shock.

"Why? Why would you .. of all people save me." questioned Sarah in a wavering voice.

"Because you are the reason for my state of unrest," replied Jareth softly, slowly advancing "You.. you have turned my world upside down and left my labyrinth in shambles.." By now he was merely 4 feet away from her gazing upon her with a mask of cool indifference on his face. "I have only done what you have bid of me, what you have wanted..."

"I want nothing you can offer me Jareth, you of all people should know that by now." Hissed Sarah

"Nothing?" Replied Jareth with a haughty stare, "and what could you possible want?"

"Let me go" said Sarah simply "I don't wish to live in a lie that you have created."

"Sarah, I have warned you time and time again, do not try my patience." Growled Jareth in an exhausted voice.

"I don't care about your warnings or trying your patience, you will let me go." Demanded Sarah

"Oh will I now?" Replied Jareth in an amused voice.

"I don't wish to be a prisoner in your world, doing as you please and never how I feel. You asked me what I wanted and it's simple. I want to return to my world. Live life with my friends, and find my soul mate so I can grow old with him. I don't wish to be some pet that you keep just for the fun of tormenting." Snapped Sarah

"Is that how you really feel Sarah?" Whispered Jareth taken aback by her cruel comments.

"Yes, that is all that I want, and need."

"As you wish" replied Jareth in a drawn voice, "as you wish."

Sarah suddenly awoke in the car, just in time to feel the wind whip at it as the car fell into the ocean crashing at the sudden shock of the water.
