My fingers long to caress her flesh
So warm, so beautiful.
As I reach out to clutch
That golden mirage,
Blinding white light fills my head,
And my eyes become sightless.
The pain! the pain! -
Gorgeosity and agony mingling
To torment me
As air eludes my frantic lungs.
Blackness smothers me
And I release a final ominous cry
As I die.
But suddenly, sweet life returns to my warped body -
A whoosh! of grace from the gods above.
I search for the enchantress
Who drove me to such madness,
But she is gone,
A will o' wisp in the wind.
They say I have been redeemed,
Yet I feel more cursed and dead
Than ever.
So warm, so beautiful.
As I reach out to clutch
That golden mirage,
Blinding white light fills my head,
And my eyes become sightless.
The pain! the pain! -
Gorgeosity and agony mingling
To torment me
As air eludes my frantic lungs.
Blackness smothers me
And I release a final ominous cry
As I die.
But suddenly, sweet life returns to my warped body -
A whoosh! of grace from the gods above.
I search for the enchantress
Who drove me to such madness,
But she is gone,
A will o' wisp in the wind.
They say I have been redeemed,
Yet I feel more cursed and dead
Than ever.
