Chapter 2: A Mission
"Gandalf? Where in Bag End are they?" yelled Frodo.
"Relax Frodo-they'll get here soon enough." Gandalf replied. "Frodo,
remember that Aragorn lost his love and Legolas lost his sister." Gandalf,
despite himself, looked grim. Frodo began to pace,
"Gandalf this in an emergency, they should hur-" at that moment an angered
Aragorn came in.
"Good Evening, Gandalf." He said curtly. Gandalf looked at him
suspiciously.
"Where is Legolas?"
"He is on his way." Aragorn said, obviously trying to avoid the subject.
"Frodo, how are you?" he said, suddenly his regular self.
"Aragorn, what's wrong?" Gandalf said softly, hoping to extract information
from him.
"Legolas thinks he knows my loss, but he doesn't--- only I do!" The fire
crackled and the bacon Frodo was cooking for 2nd breakfast sizzled.
"Aragorn, right before Legolas volunteered himself for the Fellowship his
was in love with Elora, the princess of Mirkwood." Gandalf paused for a
moment, letting Aragron take this all in. "She also happens to he my
granddaughter, my daughter Leeana married the King of Mirkwood. Both my
wife and daughter are dead now--- orcs." Aragorn looked up, thoughouly
shocked.
"I-I ne-never knew." Right on time Legolas walked through the door left
open by Aragorn. "Legolas I never knew about Elora, I'm sorry."
"Who told you?" Legolas snapped, "Elora was my business - mine only!" Tears
rolled down his cheeks (A/N I like it when they cry. sigh) "How could you
Gandalf!?"
"Legolas, Aragorn? You both must move on from the past into the future - we
have a mission."
