Okay, this is a story that is based on an actual event that happened to me, just last Wednesday night ( Feb. 04). This is a first time actual event story for me, so I don't know how good it's going to turn out.

DISCLAIMER: I don't own Stargate, or any of the characters that go along with it. I only own the plot.

*~Just The Little Things~*

It was Game Night Wednesday at the SGC, and as usual, SG-1 found themselves playing Hang Man. Sam was up, and she decided to pull a funny prank on Jack.

The board read: "_ _ _ _ / _ _ / _ / _ _ _ _ _ _ _ / _ _ _"

Jack knew it was about him.

"Oh, Carter. . . let me guess the letters why don't you?"

"That's not fair, Jack! Let the rest of us have a go!" Daniel whined.

"I believe it is the rules of the game to let others guess the letters, O'Neill," Teal'c put in his two cents.

"Fine. But the first word is Jack," he said matter-of-factly.

Sam stuck out her tongue at Jack and filled in the blanks.

"S!" Daniel called out.

"Yup!" Sam smiled and put the letters in.

Eventually the board was filled in and it read "Jack is a strange man."

"Ha Ha, Carter. Very funny. Give me the chalk," he snatched it away from her open hand, and put his own puzzle on the board.

Sam looked confused at it, but she immediately realized what it said.

"You can't use that, sir! You KNOW I HATE being called that," she looked at him with her best evil-eye.

Jack stuck out his own tongue in retaliation.

It took Daniel and Teal'c forever to finish the puzzle, but when they were done, the board read "Sam is an egghead."

Sam was looking away, but when the last letter was up, she looked at Jack with such a pained and hurt expression on her face, that he knew he had screwed up.

"Let me do another one," Jack said to Daniel as he stood up to take his turn.

"Okay," Daniel replied, but Jack was already putting another puzzle on the board.

This time, it took less time to solve, especially since Jack helped along the process by filling in letters himself.

The end result was "Sam is smarter then Jack."

It was incorrect grammar, she knew, but that didn't matter to her.

He had actually cared that he had her feelings, and had took time to correct his mistake.

Jack looked up from the podium that they stood in front, and caught her gaze. She smiled at him with love, and he turned sheepishly away before he did something foolish.

Sam looked out the window that led into the Embarkation Room and smiled.

I know it's short, but that's exactly how it happened to me yesterday. I couldn't add anything to it, or take anything away. I changed it to fit the Stargate theme, but it still works out. I hope you enjoyed it. NOW you can all go AWWW! : )
