A/N: YIPPEE Skippy for me. I think I'm going to do an Inuyasha one shot. Umm please don't kill me. I'd rather like to have the chance to do that myself.

His body lies in a broken heap on the ground, life's blood pooling around him. Not far lay another. Black, wavy hair was caked with blood and mud. The others body was strewn in a crude position. Numerous others lay dieing and wounded. Amidst it all stood a girl.

A ragged, sailors-like school girl uniform hung limply from her. Streaks of mud lined her legs and face. A bow was held out in front of her, in trembling hands. Gone. They were all gone.they're bodies broken. Was it not enough for just them to break? NO. Her heart had already broken but now.her spirit too. Higurashi Kagome looked out, hoping to see someone, anyone get up and make their way towards her. Finish her, save her, what difference did it make.

Kikyou was not far off either, what remained was ashes with an arrow stuck throw them. She had done it. Done the unthinkable. Maybe that's why he was gone; he couldn't stand to live without his love. "But Naraku is dead too." Nagged the little voice inside her head. The last part of her filled with actual life.

She walked on to the silver-haired inu-hanyou and lightly touched his face. She looked down at the blood. It had formed a crude heart shape. Yes. It hurt. Even in death he showed his love for Kikyou. The woman who would always be her better.

Kouga lay, dismembered; Naraku had indefinitely wanted the shards, even in his last moments, knowing he would die. How could he do this.ruin them all, ruin they're lives, her life? She thought to turn leave it all behind but knew she couldn't. Slowly she looked to the destroyed village, hoping to find someone there. It was futile. All were gone or dead. A sob finally found its way from her mouth. She fell to the ground. A scream rose up from her throat then out of her mouth. She became silent. Her last minute, her last moment, her last seconds.

Breathing was hard, now, even before she would die. A lone survivor of this war, but for how long? Not long at all. She reached Inuyasha's side, looking down at his slashed face, she cracked a wry smile. Untransformed wielding Tetsusaiga would be easy...the rusted blade was light. She stood up, knees shaking horribly and brought the sword up, allowing the moon to romantically glint off of it. Who knows what others would think. It would not matter. No going back from this point, no coming back after.

There was an inaudible gasp as the blade came downward, through her chest, into her heart. Kagome's hands stayed wrapped around the blades hilt. That same small smile remained. Her long ebony locks flew behind her, mingling with the ivory ones of the hanyous. Her small body hit the ground. Her lips opened as though to say something, but instead came a last breath and a trickle of blood.

What is broken can sometimes be repaired.
