The only character I own is Kitsune. The others are not mine.
"Let's stop here tonight," Kagome said to Inuyasha. She was tired, hungry and wanted to visit the hot springs nearby. He didn't answer her at first. He felt like they were being watched. "Yeah. Fine. Go get some firewood and take that runt with you," he growled. Shippou bristled at being called a runt, but Kagome dragged him away. "Come on. Let's go," she said.
Kitsune dismissed the presence of the human girl. To her humans meant very little. But the scent of the other made her nostrils twitch. It had been a long time since she had seen or smelled one of her own kind. Not since her dam (mother) had left the den and not returned. Her eyes caught the last fading light of the sun and appeared to glow of their own accord. Or was it a glimmer of tears? Her sire (father) had also vanished when she was but a weanling(toddler). The only thing she remembered of him was that he was a big kind man with a scarred face. Shippou caught sight of her as she slipped away into the shadows of the trees. "Huh?" he rubbed his eyes in disbelief. The last he saw of her was her long black tail. "Did you see that?" he asked Kagome. "What?" she replied. "I saw a kitsune. She disappeared over there." He pointed in the direction he had seen her.
