Dedication : For Mama - 'Robert Duvall is in the movie for 5 minutes Lecky
and doesn't say a bloomin word, but you watch, just you watch, it's not
something you'll forget,'
A/N: Poem about Boo and the moment (I'm going by the movie in this piece)
Scout sees him in the bedroom and Mr. Tate pulls the door back and Boo
flies across the wall into the corner.
'Shoot all the bluejays you want, if you can hit 'em, but remember it's a
sin to kill a mockingbird' - Atticus.
*~*
A face white as paper
With rigid cheekbones
And dark burgundy eyes
But so kind and gentle at the same time

Stiff posture, tense muscles
An unsure expression of a smile
Hands placed firmly against the walls
Like some sort of security measure

Feeling so out of place
When the door is pulled away
Making the darkness shrink away
And show all in the coarse light

Suddenly frightened, a reflex
Rush to the corner, away from others
A reflex, to stand apart and alone
So wary and cautious is the mysterious stranger

A little girl clambers to the end of the bed
And rests a cheek on the corner post
Staring in awe at the figure
Recoiled in the corner of the room
Looking back admirably at her
With a timid smile

Hey Boo.
