example: His greed knew no limits.

Ryou lived alone.

It wasn't anything unusual.

His father turned into a workaholic shortly after the death of his family and sought consolation in ancient history. As for Ryou…he was never known to ask for comfort. When the Sennen Ring came around, he was – least to say – quite surprised and – almost – pleased to gain a companion.

Later, he found that this wasn't exactly what he was looking for.

But it would suffice.

So when the spirit of the Sennen Ring sauntered through the door like the arrogant bastard he was – brashly announcing his presence in the household – Ryou didn't even bat an eyelash as he dampened the tips of his fingers with saliva and turned forward a page as he read, leaning against a pillow propped upon the couch.

So when the spirit of the Sennen Ring dumped a messily-wrapped package into his lap, he only blinked and looked up, watching the other stray into a nearby kitchen and extract a bottle of wine from his cloak.

So when the spirit of the Sennen Ring refused to explain himself, he finally resorted to vocalizing his curiosity, heeding the sounds of crimson brimming against the frame of a coffee cup.

He fingered the parcel as he spoke.

"This is…?"

The other gave a nonchalant shrug, boring their eyes into his own.

I dare you.

Raising an eyebrow, he gingerly pried apart the paper and unraveled the tangled string.

His hands paused before the browning flaps, but at the taunting gaze of his companion, they unfolded the wrapping.

And promptly froze.

He stared in astonishment while his companion smirked in satisfaction.

A minute passed in silence before he finally heaved a sigh, placing the book upon a nearby table and shooting the other an irritated gaze.

"He would've hated this."

"I know."

He should've asked.

But he didn't, and eventually returned to flipping through the recent novel.

Later, he found that the package had been disposed of.

It wasn't anything unusual.

He wondered if Bakura kept the eyes.
